Wandering Meteor
Chapter 439 - 438: Antimatter Civilization?
CHAPTER 439: CHAPTER 438: ANTIMATTER CIVILIZATION?
Green Star suddenly expressed with emotion: "Hearing you put it this way, I finally understand why the technology of our Wandering Alliance progresses faster than most civilizations. It turns out that we have grasped the core essence of science, which is the continuous elimination of errors. And to eliminate errors requires time and experiments, but our policy of an all-elite membership has just resulted in the creation of tens of billions of high-quality scientists. If each of these scientists eliminates one error, then our speed is naturally tens of millions of times faster than others!"
"I think you can be bolder. It’s not just faster than most, but way faster than all civilizations!"
Constant Star Lu Chen confidently said: "But this is not just a simple matter of the number of scientists; it’s also due to our implementation of the communist system, which shares all labor results with society and makes them available to the people. Thus, by learning from others’ failures, we naturally reduce the process of one experiment. Otherwise, if scientists are not in real-time communication, then no one would know what experiments the others have conducted. As a result, to verify their own theories, they would ultimately have to repeat experiments that have been done by others, which significantly slows down the efficiency of scientific research. Therefore, the principle that productive forces determine production relationships is correct. We have perfectly resolved the issues of relationships after the development of productive forces."
Green Star said: "Indeed, the all-elite policy is also built on the foundation of the communist system, so the fundamental advantage is indeed the communist system."
Lu Xing said: "This is like diagnosing and treating a disease during a test. One must accurately identify and understand the core issue of the problem and find the most critical point to provide the right remedy, in order to achieve greater results with half the effort."
"Alright, let’s not talk about these boring topics anymore."
Green Star smiled and said: "What do you guys think about the existence of that Anti-Neutron Star in such a place? If it were normal times, it wouldn’t be too strange, but now we are in a crisis period where the Universe has stopped expanding, and all the interstellar material has been plundered. The presence of such a massive Anti-Neutron Star alone here seems very unusual."
"It is indeed very strange..."
Constant Star Lu Chen said: "We have wandered for so long, besides creating antimatter ourselves, we’ve only encountered antimatter twice in natural Cosmic Space: once near the Star Realm Ball, but that was before the cosmic expansion crisis erupted, and it was found within the Star Realm Ball by some Star Stealers, which seemed normal. But this Anti-Neutron Star is alone in the vastness of space, surrounded by not even a trace of interstellar material, which is puzzling."
Lu Xing thought for a moment and slowly said: "I think there are only two possibilities in this situation."
Constant Star Lu Chen said: "Let’s hear your opinion."
Lu Xing said: "At this special time, I believe there are only two possibilities. One is that other civilizations have plundered all the interstellar material, but exclusively left this Anti-Neutron Star behind. Of course, it’s also possible that the previous plundering civilization lacked the strength to deal with the Anti-Neutron Star, hence it was left until now, leading to its current contest by those two Level 4 Civilizations. The second possibility is that after this space was plundered by other civilizations, another civilization passed by and accidentally left behind an Anti-Neutron Star, which was then detected by the two Level 4 Civilizations and they came to plunder it immediately."
After listening, Constant Star Lu Chen muttered: "Although both possibilities are incredible, the second one seems more plausible. After all, it’s quite normal for Level 3 and 4 Civilizations to possess Celestial Body Capture Devices now, as the Celestial Body Capture Device is capable of capturing celestial bodies other than Black Holes. Unless it’s said that the previous plundering civilization was only a Level 1 or 2, but since we have entered the depths of the Star Zone, we haven’t encountered any Level 1 or 2 Civilizations, nor do I believe that any Level 1 or 2 Civilization could survive in this place and safely plunder so much material during such a crisis."
Green Star also felt the second possibility was higher, but he still had some doubts: "However, that is an anti-neutron star made of antimatter. What civilization would leave behind an anti-neutron star? Could it be an Antimatter Civilization?"
Initially, it was just a casual remark by Green Star, but it caught the serious attention of Constant Star Lu Chen: "Antimatter Civilization? Although antimatter is extremely rare in the Universe, it is indeed possible that a special civilization has collected most of the antimatter in the universe. However, if an Antimatter Civilization really exists, then the history of the Universe we know might have to be rewritten."
Green Star suggested: "Instead of speculating about the origins of the anti-neutron star here, why not search for survivors from those two civilizations and see what information they have about the anti-neutron star. Their knowledge might be much more useful than our wild guesses."
With Green Star’s words, the topic was finally steered back on track.
They were now at the scene of the anti-neutron star quake, where a substantial amount of explosive materials still existed, along with the debris of the two Level 4 Civilizations that needed to be dealt with. Although these tasks were not significant, they needed to be resolved quickly.
After some discussion, Constant Star Lu Chen made up his mind. He decided to plunder the explosive materials at the scene as well as the remnants of the two Level 4 Civilizations. However, before absorbing the celestial debris into the Heliosphere, Constant Star Lu Chen first dispatched four search vessels to find survivors from the two civilizations. Of course, this was not about rescuing them. They had brought the anti-neutron star quake upon themselves through mutual warfare, leading to such an outcome. Constant Star Lu Chen had no sympathy for the belligerents. He simply took Green Star’s proposal, intending to extract useful intelligence from the survivors. After all, they had just arrived and were unfamiliar with this part of the universe. The two Level 4 Civilizations should be more knowledgeable about this region. If they could get information about the nearby Cosmic Space, that would naturally be best.
On the other side.
After the starquake catastrophe had ended, survivors from the Desert Sea Civilization and the Forest Sea Civilization gathered together to discuss what to do next.
Ultimately, they decided to first report the current situation to their respective alliances and request support from the alliance headquarters. Thus, they rummaged through the ruins for communication tools and cobbled together various parts to assemble a makeshift communication device.
This good news made the survivors cheer and feel exhilarated.
Because nothing could make people happier than contacting rescue services immediately after a disaster. It meant that there was hope!
However, hidden within hope was cruelty.
The survivors from the Desert Sea Civilization and the Forest Sea Civilization were racing against time to contact their alliance headquarters before the other, to ensure that their own rescue forces would arrive before those of the opponent. If their rescue forces arrived first, they could completely eliminate the survivors of the opposing side. It could be said that the competitive mindset of life and death, thorough in the Bose Civilization and the Fermi Civilization, was still evident in the Desert Sea Civilization and the Forest Sea Civilization, even after the disaster, as they continued to engage in brutal competition for survival.
What neither side expected, however, was that just as they had established contact with headquarters and were reporting, two alien warships suddenly appeared in the sky, destroyed their communication device with a strike, and used Gravity Field devices to pull them all into the sky. What surprised them even more was that, as they helplessly flew towards the alien warships, a massive Star Realm Ball appeared in the nearby Cosmic Space and absorbed all the materials from the starquake explosion and the debris of their Mother Star. They were angry, but powerless, because compared to that giant Star Realm Ball, they were like mortals against the heavens and earth, far too insignificant!
