As the main characters in this verbal battle, both Entropy Civilization and Degenerate Civilization naturally wanted to draw other civilizations to their side for more support. Therefore, both Entropy Civilization and Degenerate Civilization laid out their truths. However, due to differing perspectives, the truths told by the two civilizations were slightly different. The on-scene civilizations like Wandering Alliance, after analyzing the two different versions of the truth, finally concluded the original incident.

Originally, Entropy Civilization and Degenerate Civilization were both Level 5 civilizations, and after an accidental encounter, they clashed over a giant nebula. However, being equally matched as Level 5 civilizations, neither could overpower the other, and after a series of fruitless battles, both civilizations sought alternative solutions and came to the negotiation table. After lengthy discussions and negotiations, the two civilizations finally reached a ceasefire agreement.

Moreover, the two civilizations discovered that their cosmic philosophies were surprisingly similar, which was one of the key reasons they were able to reach an agreement.

In this agreement, Entropy Civilization and Degenerate Civilization came to an accord on how to handle the giant nebula and established a cooperative relationship. Having similar views on the universe, they decided to form a Guardian Alliance to jointly safeguard the stability of the universe, establish basic cosmic order, and become the managers of this cosmic order.

Additionally, there was a very important clause in the agreement.

That was for Entropy Civilization to give up the giant nebula in exchange for a decision-making seat within the Guardian Alliance.

However, as the collaboration deepened, deeper conflicts between Entropy Civilization and Degenerate Civilization began to emerge, falling into two categories: one being conflicts of biological consciousness, and the other, conflicts at the decision-making level of the Guardian Alliance.

The conflicts at the level of consciousness are easy to understand. Degenerate Civilization and Entropy Civilization, being different life forms, naturally differ in habits, actions, beliefs, and ways of thinking. For instance, Degenerate Civilization is a particle life form, whereas Entropy Civilization is a conventional biological life. The differences in growing environments and cultural backgrounds inevitably lead to differences in thinking. Surface-level collaboration wouldn’t be largely impacted, but deeper collaboration would bring to surface these deeper ideological differences.

Although these might seem like minor conflicts, merely small clashes among cooperative personnel, the accumulation of minor conflicts can ultimately have fatal consequences. Conflicts at the level of the Guardian Alliance evolved from minor discrepancies into major disputes, primarily manifested by the fact that Entropy Civilization, being a highly entropy-value-focused civilization, would base every major decision of the Guardian Alliance on the natural entropy increase (unreducible entropy). They even demanded that Degenerate Civilization adopt their governance model to curb both increase and reduction, insisting that Degenerate Civilization adhere to their system.

However, Degenerate Civilization, being a particle life form, had already established its own civilizational system and cultural thinking.

The system of Degenerate Civilization involves particle life forms collaborating to complete tasks. However, if they were to follow Entropy Civilization’s demands for entropy increase, then every particle would have to naturally disperse to curb congregative entropy reduction behaviors, which would essentially destroy the very lifestyle Degenerate Civilization depended on, akin to directly demolishing Degenerate Civilization’s ancestral graveyard. Naturally, Degenerate Civilization disagreed.

However, since they had already signed the agreement.

Entropy Civilization traded the giant nebula for more seats on the Guardian Alliance’s council.

Although the seats of the Guardian Alliance are only concerned with cosmic macro policies, there are always some individuals who overstep their boundaries to criticize and attack the allied civilizations’ systems.

This is similar to certain international organizations on Earth, originally established for specific international cooperation, but where some members overreach, interfering with other countries’ domestic affairs.

This is a manifest display of ideological competition.

Although Degenerate Civilization could simply ignore those overreaching individuals’ remarks.

In the decision-making of the Guardian Alliance, since Degenerate Civilization has fewer seats than Entropy Civilization, it often finds itself in a passive position. Some decisions are forcibly pushed by Entropy Civilization; enduring it once or twice may be tolerable, but when it occurs repeatedly, Degenerate Civilization is thoroughly disgusted.

This view catered to the growing dissatisfaction within Degenerate Civilization against Entropy Civilization due to the long-standing repulsion by some actions of the latter. Although this viewpoint had some validity, at that time not many truly focused on its correctness; many supported it primarily to oppose Entropy Civilization and turn this view into a strategic direction for the civilization, to extricate themselves from collaborating with Entropy Civilization in guarding the cosmic order.

Because Entropy Civilization has a strong belief in guarding the cosmic order, it can be said to be a staunch supporter of the Guardian Faction!

Finding and supporting the opposite view naturally developed into opposing Entropy Civilization from the standpoint of opposing guardianship of the universe, forming a sort of formalism.

Eventually, Degenerate Civilization succeeded, and collectively deemed guarding the universe untenable.

When Entropy Civilization learned about Degenerate Civilization’s transformation, they were extremely infuriated; first, because Degenerate Civilization wanted to withdraw from the Guardian Alliance, betraying their initially shared ideology, and second, because Degenerate Civilization sought to escape the universe, which for the staunchly cosmos-guarding Entropy Civilization was utterly blasphemous.

Entropy Civilization has a religious zeal for the Universe, believing they were all born under its nurturing, viewing the universe as their mother. Even if the universe will eventually be destroyed, as its children, they should not abandon their cosmic mother. This concept originated from a highly influential figure in the history of Entropy Civilization—Di Shang.

Di Shang was a profoundly great woman, the spiritual mentor of Entropy Civilization, and the matriarch of the Entropy Sect.

She appeared in the darkest moments of Entropy Civilization, established the Entropy Sect, and guided all Entropy Star People out of darkness, creating the glorious era of today’s Entropy Civilization. Thus, the Entropy Sect is the shared faith of all Entropy Star People, amounting to a great national religion, which is also why Entropy Civilization places such importance on entropy value.

Because of this cultural background, Entropy Civilization felt a profound sense of betrayal by Degenerate Civilization.

From then on, Entropy Civilization no longer trusted any civilization, their style of conduct drastically changed, becoming extreme; on one hand, they hunted down Degenerate Civilization, and on the other, they created the monster Entropy Beast to devour all targets of entropy reduction in the universe. They even caused a cosmological crisis of reflective wave rebound, intending to clear these disloyal children for the cosmic mother.
