CHAPTER 54: CHAPTER 54: BE MY WOMAN

Gu Yan’s lips trembled, her eyes showing sadness, and Tang Yuxiu looked at her pitiful appearance with disgust, suddenly reaching out to pinch her chin.

"How many people have you deceived with this look? Qin Junnan is one, and now you’re trying to deceive me?"

"Fine!" Tang Yuxiu straightened up, pulled out a checkbook and pen from inside his suit pocket, quickly signed a check, and tossed it to her.

"Since you’re so adamant, I’ll give you a million, you dump Qin Junnan, dump all the men you’ve been hooking up with, and be my mistress!"

Gu Yan stared in disbelief at his cold profile, her hands trembling as she picked up the check that had landed on her, clearly showing a million and Tang Yuxiu’s dashing signature.

"You’re joking, right?" Gu Yan said tremblingly.

Tang Yuxiu’s icy eyes carried not a trace of emotion, "I never joke. Rather than letting others know a woman like you was hired by me as a maid, I’d rather keep you myself, to prevent you from exposing my shame outside."

He said, a mocking and malicious smile curled at the corner of his mouth, "I’m definitely not Qin Junnan, whatever you want I’ll afford you! You should be grateful I don’t mind a woman like you that’s been used by who knows how many!"

It’s not like that, it’s not like that!

How could he say something so awful!

Gu Yan suddenly stood up, the check in her hand crumpled as she gripped it tightly.

She looked at him with reddened eyes, loudly rebutting: "I’m not that kind of woman, I’m not!"

She threw the check back at him, then it floated down gently, gritting her teeth she said: "I won’t accept your money, nor will I be your mistress! Just give up already!"

Tang Yuxiu glanced indifferently at the check on the ground, "You’re the one lacking money, not me, what do I have to give up or not give up?"

He turned his eyes to look at her angry face, the slap mark still visible, yet he continued speaking emotionlessly, "You can now pretend to be virtuous and pure, I don’t care, from now until eight o’clock tonight, this is your final consideration period, if you can bear to leave behind the money trees outside, then accept this million, whatever you want I’ll provide, after this it won’t be available."

After finishing his words, Tang Yuxiu walked towards the doorway, changed his shoes, he had to go to work at the company.

The man ignored her angry curses, proceeded to pull open the door and leave.

With the sound of the door closing, Gu Yan heavily fell back onto the sofa, her eyes vacant, her heart desolate.

In just two days, she’d been sold out by family, misunderstood and humiliated by Tang Yuxiu, she really couldn’t take it anymore!

Slowly hugging herself, she buried her head in the crook of her arm, softly sobbing.
