dripping with false sympathy. “Your team used to handle Alfly Entertainment, but I just signed them to my group.”

Ophelia shrugged, her eyes glinting with glee. “It’s not like I stole them. They came to me. What was I supposed to do?”

Her thoughts churned as she knocked on Jude’s door.

“Come in,” Jude called, his voice brisk.
