Chapter 113 A Constion Prize
Kaia whispered softly, “Thank you.”
Lucien chuckled, his voice carrying an unmistakable tenderness. “10 minutes. I’ll be right there.”
Tobias also came for this asion, along with Sally and Kimberly.
Shortly after arriving, Kimberlyined about the cold mountain air and wanted to go back down. Tobias had no interest in staying either, so he told Kaia he’d wait for her in the rest area at the bottom of the mountain.
A light drizzle started falling as they made their way down.
“This is so annoying! Why did it suddenly start raining?” Kimberly whined.
Tobias watched Kimberly acting all moody, and his heart sank.
She doesn’t look ilike /ia refined youngdy at iall/i.
His frustrated mood shifted when he spotted a ck figure in
the distance.
Lucien stood tall in a ck suit, holding a ck umbre as he walked up the mountain path. He moved quickly, disappearing from view within moments until he was just a ck dot.

A crazy idea hit Tobias. He pulled out his phone and stared hard at the man’s back on the screen.
Change the clothes and hair, and wasn’t this the same guy as the man he just saw?

“Tobias, I brought some drinks. Would you like some?” Sally asked gently.
At that moment, Tobias was grinning like an idiot.
Sally looked puzzled. Today was the end of ire’s mourning period, so no matter what, Tobias shouldn’t be smiling like that.
Even though Tobias didn’t necessarily have deep feelings for ire, he usually followed basic etiquette and filial duties.
What makes ihim /ithis ihappy/i?
“Tobias?” Sally called out again.
Tobias snapped back to reality. “Hmm, what did you say?”
“Nothing, Tobias. Are you okay?” Sally asked, looking confused.
“I’m fine. I’m perfectly fine. What could be wrong?” Tobias smirked. “Stop overthinking everything. You should spend your

The light drizzle was getting heavier. Kaia hadn’t brought an umbre, and the rain was soaking her hair. She held up her purse to shield her head from the drops.
A dark figure cut through the rain on the blue stone steps, moving closer to Kaia. His ck tailored suit gleamed coldly in the misty downpour.
Long fingers gripped the umbre handle, and behind the curtain of water falling from the rim, his face looked sharp as a de. Beneath thickshes, his eyes held nothing but cold distance.
But his icy stare melted the moment he looked at Kaia, turning soft with unmistakable affection.
Therge umbre opened above her head, blocking out the pattering rain.
“Sorry, my flight was dyed. I’mte,” Lucien said softly.

bLucien /bchuckled, “Before we get married, I should probably ask for Grandma’s blessing first, don’t you think?”
He pressed the umbre into her hands. “Hold this. I want to talk to Grandma too.”
Kaia watched as he stood in the rain, speaking seriously to the headstone. Then, he closed his eyes and seemed to pray silently
for a moment.
When he stood up, he took the umbre back from her. “Come on. Let’s head down.”
Kaia looked up at him. “What were you saying to Grandma just
now?”
Lucien let out a softugh. “I asked if she’d be willing to let her precious granddaughter marry me.”
“And she answered you?” Kaia’s eyebrow arched.
“She did. Grandma said we should get our marriage license
tomorrow.”
Kaia’s mouth twitched as she muttered under her breath, “You’re the one who picked that timingb, /bnot Grandma.”

Lucien bent down, putting his car near her lips bwith /ba little bsmirk/bb. /b“What did you say?”
Kaia shook her head. “Nothing. Tomorrow it is then. My dad and the others are waiting for me. Should we go down separately?
“I have my ID, but I still need to go back to the Domont Vi to get my other documents.”
Lucien gave her a knowing smile. “Actually, you only need an ID to get married now. They don’t require anything else anymore. It’s a new policy they just introduced.”
“Oh. So why don’t you wait a bit before heading down? I’ll go first.” Her voice carried a hint of guilt.
For some reason, it felt like they were having a secret affair.
“Hmm, so I rush over to see Grandma straight from the airport, and I don’t even get official recognition?” Lucien pretended to be
mad.
Kaia pressed her lips, looking conflicted. “We agreed to keep things private for now.”
She was the one who would decide when to go public.
Lucien chuckled softly and leaned down, bringing his face closer to hers. “Then how about a constion prize?”
15:21
Kaia’s ears turned pink. “What kind of prize?”
Lucien drew out his words with a meaningful smile. “What do you think?”
