CHAPTER 74: FEED ME

I looked around at the corpses surrounding us and couldn’t help but nod in satisfaction. All of them looked as if they had suffered brain damage from Selthia’s attack. Sirens are really something, and with my primordial bloodline, she would only grow stronger than the others of her kind.

Selthia continued to stare at the corpses with a reddened face before turning to me with needy eyes.

"Pumpkin, can you help me again like you did before?"

Pumpkin?

"You mean to rip out their hearts?" I asked.

"Will you? You’re much better at it than me." She placed her slender hands on my chest and stared up at me with round eyes. She stood so close that I could feel her nipples pressing against my chest and her warm breath against my face. I had a feeling she was doing it on purpose.

"You’re quite the temptress, aren’t you?"

"Huh? Whatever do you mean?" she asked, looking at me innocently as if she had no clue what I was talking about.

I gave in to her request and ripped out the hearts of the deceased werewolves. I then tried to hand them to her, but she made no effort to take them.

"Can you feed it to me?"

"Hmm?"

Before she didn’t even want me to watch her eat but now she wants me to feed her.

"Why are you looking at me like that? If you’re going to be my alpha, then I’ll need you to satisfy my other needs too."

"Your other needs?" I caught the hidden meaning behind her words. Personally, I thought it went without saying.

"Bear in mind, I’m not a whore. Sirens mate for life, and considering how long my lifespan is, that means you’ll be stuck with me for a while. Also, we don’t like competition, you hear me?" Her eyes suddenly turned sharp, and I could feel a strong bloodlust oozing out of her. "If there are other women, then I’ll make sure those other bitches know I’m the best one. I’ll work hard to make sure I’m forever first in your heart."

Saying that, she then shoved me to the ground against a tree. Her wide hips spread against me as she climbed into my lap.

"Feed me," she commanded.

At this moment, it felt as if I was being straddled by a goddess or a demon. I couldn’t quite make out which one. I took one of the hearts and brought it close to her lips. She smiled, satisfied, and took her first bite. She chewed and, without any hesitation, swallowed.

"I’ll gladly swallow your seed just like this," she moaned with blood dripping down her chin.

After she was done eating the first heart, she took up another from the stack sitting beside us.

"Now it’s my turn to feed you."

She brought the heart up to my mouth, and I closed my eyes to take a bite out of it, but instead I felt something soft and tender brush up against my lips. I didn’t need to open my eyes to know what it was.

"Will you also teach me how to kiss? Will you teach me everything..."

"Hmm... I wonder?" I teased.

I slowly opened my eyes to see a pouty expression on her beautiful face. at that moment, I couldn’t fight the urge anymore and finally kissed her.

...

Nearly an hour later, the two of us got up from our spot on the ground. Feeling a bit satisfied, the two of us continued our journey. Selthia clung to me as she slowly got accustomed to walking. Slowly, we made our way through the territory, killing any werewolves we came across and eating their hearts.

Soon, we made it out of the Nyx pack territory, but we still had a long way to go. What’s more, the land we were planning to traverse was home to several different tribes of skinwalkers. Surely they wouldn’t take kindly to us passing through their lands, but there was nothing more we could do than venture on.

I had something planned in case things came to the worst. But that was only if things came to the worst.

"By the way," Sylthia suddenly said, "you haven’t told me the reason you’re carrying that severed head around."

"Hmm... this thing." I still had Roran’s severed head in hand, wrapped in a cloth.

"I need to bring it back to my pack as proof of the alpha’s death. I’m sure they’re all aware by now, since the moment he died, the pack was dismantled."

The others must’ve been deciding on an alpha right now, or they were in disbelief. When a werewolf alpha dies, its members will only move on if they see their alpha’s corpse. Kaelen is most likely to be chosen as the alpha after his father. But he was ill-prepared for what is to come.

Though it didn’t matter, my days of following others are over.

The area of the forest where the skinwalkers lived was similar to a marshland. The ground below our feet was caked in mud, and the trees had long green vines. As we walked, I spotted several heat signatures surrounding us.

By their scent, I could tell they were skinwalkers. They kept their distance, but I could tell that they were watching us.

Selthia was blissfully unaware of what was happening as she clung tightly to my arm. I had a feeling she had no experience of being hunted. It made sense. I shuddered to think of the creature that would hunt a siren. She smiled happily as we walked.

"This feels nice," she suddenly said. "I’ve never been with anyone like this before. All I’ve thought about was food. The moment I found prey, my mind would instantly go to the other prey I must hunt. Never had anyone offered to be the one to feed me before. It’s like a burden has been lifted from me. I’ve never felt so free."

I smiled and slowly combed my hand through her silky blue hair.

"I’m happy you feel this way."

A cute smile appeared on her face as she hugged me even tighter.

Just then, the skinwalkers who were watching us decided to make their move. They appeared around us as if they had just stepped out of the shadows. Selthia reacted instantly, ready to fight but I immediately stopped her.

"Don’t move, Selthia," I said.

"Honey?"

She looked at me with confusion evident on her face.

Looking at the skinwalkers surrounding us with the obvious intention of killing us, I slowly raised both my hands into the air.

"We surrender."
