"Then let’s go back." Li Qingyi said as she started to lead Li Xiu back.

Shortly after they started walking, Li Qingyi suddenly stopped Li Xiu, placing her finger on her lips to signal him to be silent.

Li Xiu immediately understood what Li Qingyi meant, stood still, and listened attentively. He could hear faint voices coming from the shimmering fog in the distance.

However, due to the distance, Li Xiu could only hear a little noise without being able to make out what was being said.

Li Qingyi listened for a moment, her expression changing slightly, and then whispered into Li Xiu’s ear, "Things may not be going well; I heard Bai Wanli and Han Mingshou’s voices. There seem to be others present, though they’re not speaking, so I can’t discern who or how many they are. They’re likely targeting you, and I didn’t expect them to catch up so fast."

"This place isn’t safe to wander about; there’s nowhere to hide unless we get past the Cloud Bridge. Before reaching the Execution Platform, there’s a Jade Tower with no dangers inside, where we can temporarily hide." Li Qingyi’s expression didn’t look good.

"Then let’s cross the Cloud Bridge first." Li Xiu said.

Li Qingyi hesitated a bit, especially considering the ominous sign on the tablet. Moreover, Bai Wanli and his group likely knew about the Jade Tower as well. If they went there too, there would be nowhere for the two of them to hide.

"There’s no point in hesitating, let’s go." Li Xiu knew that with Bai Wanli himself coming, he was surely prepared to kill him. If they fought head-on, it would be dangerous.

The plaque above the Octagonal Jade Tower’s door was half broken, and the remaining half had two Demon Kingdom symbols on it, which Li Xiu recognized meant "Jade Scenery".

Without the rest of the letters, it’s unclear what the complete plaque would say.

"Inside this Jade Scenery Tower is very safe; if we face danger, we can hide here. Li Qingyi pushed the door open and entered, "Let’s hide here for now. "I understand wind, rain, thunder, lightning, frost, fire, and cloud, but what kind of phenomenon is ’termination’?" Li Xiu asked.
