Li Qingyi nodded and led Li Xiu upstairs to the second floor.

Upon reaching the second floor, Li Xiu observed the eight walls and indeed saw patterns of eight mythical beasts.

He might recognize those eight beasts: Dragon, Phoenix, Qilin, Horse, Tiger, Ox, Sheep, Ape.

However, the horse had a pair of wings, the ox had three eyes, and the sheep had three heads. Only the ape’s pattern seemed relatively normal, yet the patterns, although roughly the same size, made the ape look larger than the ox and sheep for some unknown reason.

After observing for a while, Li Xiu and Li Qingyi went up to the third floor. Unlike the first and second floors, which had no windows, the third floor had eight, with mere frames and no glass, allowing a direct view of the outside.

Above each window frame was a hand-sized symbol. Li Xiu observed for a while but didn’t recognize them; they were not common Demon Kingdom texts, nor were these symbols present in the Demon Text Institute’s dictionary.

While Li Xiu studied those symbols, Li Qingyi leaned on the window, observing outside. Shortly after, Li Qingyi’s expression shifted slightly, gesturing subtly to Li Xiu.

Li Xiu cautiously moved closer, using the wall as cover to sneak a peek outside, where he saw four figures approaching through the misty haze, heading straight for the Jade Scenery Tower.

Li Xiu and Li Qingyi exchanged a glance, each seeing the helplessness in the other’s eyes.

Before long, the four figures approached, and Li Xiu recognized them all: Bai Wanli, Su Bancheng, Han Mingshou, and Wan Chaoxin.

"The Li Family really thinks highly of me, sending Su Bancheng, Han Mingshou, and Wan Chaoxin — all Super Spirit Powerhouses — along with the enigmatic Bai Wanli. If a fight breaks out here, I’m afraid even Li Qingyi won’t be able to protect me wholly," Li Xiu thought inwardly.

The four didn’t enter the Jade Scenery Tower immediately but stood chatting at the entrance.

"I’ve heard about the Jade Scenery Tower. Seeing it today, it indeed has some secrets. This isn’t just an ordinary tower," Su Bancheng, holding a jade folding fan, said while fanning himself.

"If it’s not a tower, then what is it?" Han Mingshou asked.

"If I’m not mistaken, it’s a furnace," Su Bancheng said, examining the Jade Scenery Tower.

"A hut kind of furnace?" Han Mingshou asked coldly.

"No, it’s an Alchemy Furnace," Su Bancheng replied.

Su Bancheng smiled, "The eight corners of this tower correspond to the Eight Trigrams: Open, Rest, Birth, Injury, Block, Scene, Death, and Surprise. The front door on the first floor corresponds to the Birth Gate, while the back door corresponds to the Death Gate. The eight windows on the third floor align with the positions of the Eight Trigrams. This is the setup of an Eight Trigrams Alchemy Furnace. Ordinary people do not build houses like this. This apparent tower is actually designed as a furnace. If someone lived in such a building, it’s feared that within a month, all blood relatives in the family would meet unnatural deaths — a life-refining... tower."

The four walked in line and soon reached the second floor of the Jade Scenery Tower.

Li Xiu and Li Qingyi crouched near the stairway entrance, listening intently to the sounds below.

"Is there any kind of mechanism here?" Wan Chaoxin looked at the empty second floor and asked.

"The Eight Trigrams on these walls are the control hub for the eight structures, and the Vajra Ape corresponds to the Execution Platform. Once activated, it will isolate the Platform," Bai Wanli explained.

"How do we activate it?" Wan Chaoxin asked, examining the Vajra Ape.

"Observe closely; within the engravings of the Vajra Ape, there are indentations where the corresponding Demon Core can be embedded to activate it," Bai Wanli explained.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let’s isolate the Execution Platform and eliminate Li Xiu quickly," Han Mingshou echoed.
