CHAPTER 102: CHAPTER 102: SHENG JIANAN IS A CHILDISH BRAT (PART 2)

Tang Yanqi learned about this from the gossip of others. The school’s notification was very vague, only clearly mentioning Yang Yixiang’s name and no one else’s, but as someone involved, Tang Yanqi naturally knew who the mysterious girl hit by the object was.

Tang Yanqi, who almost never gossiped about these things, couldn’t help but take out her phone to open the campus website and find the disciplinary notice about Yang Yixiang. Her delicate eyebrows were slightly furrowed; even she, as the person involved, felt such a punishment was over the top. Why did the school issue such a nonsensical punishment?

Tang Yanqi wasn’t stupid. She knew that the person who hit her was either one of Yang Yixiang’s friends beside him at the time, a passerby, or Sheng Jianan.

Logically deducing, it could only be Sheng Jianan. Was it Sheng Jianan who did it?

Tang Yanqi laughed at herself; how could it be possible? He hated her so much; how could he help her? This kind of thing didn’t need to be shown to Mr. Sheng.

But then again, besides Sheng Jianan, Tang Yanqi couldn’t think of anyone else.

After class, Tang Yanqi greeted her roommates, saying she was going home that night, then headed to the bus stop at the school gate. She hadn’t left the campus yet when her phone buzzed with a message. It was a short, concise message with two words: [Side gate].

Making her way to the side gate where she had gotten off that morning, Tang Yanqi indeed saw Sheng Jianan’s car steadily parked there. Glancing around with no one in sight, Tang Yanqi quickly walked over, opened the back door of the car, and got in.

Sheng Jianan was still wearing the suit from this morning, but the tie seemed to have gone missing. The shirt’s collar button was undone, giving him a less serious and more laid-back look.

Before Tang Yanqi could ask anything, Sheng Jianan said, "Grandpa is coming over for dinner tonight."

So that’s why. She wondered why he would come to pick her up; it turned out Mr. Sheng was coming.

Tang Yanqi lightly pursed her lips, then said, "What does Grandpa like to eat? So I can prepare."

Sheng Jianan glanced at her through the rearview mirror, his eyes filled with playful doubt, "The food you make is edible?"

His words were undoubtedly mocking, but Tang Yanqi seriously nodded, "Yeah, it won’t kill anyone."

The car instantly fell into a cold silence. Sheng Jianan glared at her, increasing the speed of the car. Why did this woman revert to that cold demeanor? No matter what he said, it felt like punching a pillow, incredibly annoying.

The car reached the main road during rush hour. Even if Sheng Jianan wanted to speed, he couldn’t. The entire street was jammed like a sardine can, moving intermittently. It could take a full twenty minutes to pass a single red light. The Young Master Sheng’s temper flared, his face looking as stormy as a sky about to unleash a downpour. In contrast, Tang Yanqi in the backseat appeared calm as she looked out the window, as if the traffic jam had nothing to do with her.

Looking at her, Sheng Jianan felt an inexplicable anger rising inside. The more he looked, the angrier he became. With the car at a standstill, Sheng Jianan turned to Tang Yanqi, "Climb to the front."

Tang Yanqi shifted her gaze from the window to him, looked for two seconds, then lowered her eyes and prepared to open the door to get out.

Sheng Jianan hadn’t unlocked the car door, so Tang Yanqi couldn’t open it. She released her grip on the door handle and looked at Sheng Jianan again, "Mr. Sheng, please unlock the door."

"Do you not understand my verb? I told you to ’climb’ over."
