Chapter 79: Go Viral

    After having a simple breakfast of toast, fried egg and bacon – with Jin Jiuchi complimenting how delicious and heavenly it tasted – they got into Shen Nianzu’s car and drove away from the villa.

    Halfway through the journey to the city, Shen Nianzu received a call from his assistant. Under Jin Jiuchi’s curious gaze, he put on an earpiece and accepted the call, "What is it? Haven’t I told you to take a break for a few days?"

    "Y–Young Master!" Qing Mo sounded wholly alarmed yet excited, which meant that nothing good should happen. Shen Nianzu’s back tensed involuntarily, and sure enough, the next second he heard the man say, "Your bo— cough cough, your friend, he... he has gone viral!"

    Shen Nianzu thought that he had heard wrong, "...What?"

    "Your friend! The man you brought home last night – Jin Jiuchi! Ah, it’s so hard to explain to you through the phone. I have sent the link to you, please check it out!"

    "What is it, Nian’er?" Jin Jiuchi asked upon seeing the twisted look on the jade doll’s face as if he had bitten into a sour lemon.

    Ignoring Jin Jiuchi’s query, he flicked on the car signal and pulled over on the side of the road. And then he grabbed his phone on the dashboard and found the link Qing Mo had sent to him. As soon as he clicked on it, he was directly brought into the Utube channel of a famous mukbang host.

    There was a new video pinned on the channel, and it was none other than the live broadcast from the spicy ramen mukbang yesterday!

    In the span of one night, the video had shot up into number six trending and amassed two million views! Taking a deep breath to quell the ominous premonition in his heart, he played the video and Jin Jiuchi’s face immediately popped up on the screen.

    "Oh?" Jin Jiuchi peeked at the phone and pointed at himself, laughing. "Isn’t that me? How do you see it on the phone, Nian’er? I thought they said that I would appear on TV?"

    Again, Shen Nianzu ignored him and went straight to the comment section that had reached five thousand and was still increasing by each second.

    [Damn it, which agency is pushing their little brother out into this mukbang channel? How dare they! Though I have to admit he makes that disgusting ramen look delicious...]

    He was stunned when he realized what kind of reaction he was exhibiting. Why was he acting like... like a goddamn jealous wife?! Heavens!

    "Nian’er?" Jin Jiuchi tilted his head and waved his hand in front of Shen Nianzu’s face when he saw that the jade doll’s expression kept changing from anger, surprise, confusion and disgust. Though Jin Jiuchi had to admit that it was so fun to watch. "Hello, Earth to Nian’er?"

    Shen Nianzu turned and leveled Jin Jiuchi with an unimpressed stare. Then all of a sudden, he reached out and pinched both of Jin Jiuchi’s cheeks, kneading and squishing them like mochi.

    Jin Jiuchi: ???

    ’Isn’t it all this face’s fault?’ Shen Nianzu thought grumpily. ’If only this husky is a little uglier, the video wouldn’t be trending now. Geez, what did he eat to grow up so good-looking like this?’

    Too lost in his own thoughts, Shen Nianzu was thus caught off guard when Jin Jiuchi pinched his cheek as well, though the man could be considered gentle and careful compared to his brutal kneading. However, that alone was more than enough to make Shen Nianzu let go and distance himself abruptly. "W–What are you doing?" He cradled his warm cheek, still feeling the lingering warmth of Jin Jiuchi’s fingers on his skin.

    "Well," Jin Jiuchi cupped both of his cheeks that fell victim to the jade doll’s pincher claws. "Nian’er pinched me, can’t I do the same?"

    Shen Nianzu almost choked on his saliva because he could not find a good way to retort that sentence. In the end, he could only choose to switch the topic, "Let’s continue. We should not be late to our appointment."

    Thanks to Qing Mo’s advanced warning, Shen Nianzu had the insight to make Jin Jiuchi wear his sunglasses when they walked into the boutique, even though the effects seemed to be the complete opposite as they ended up attracting more attention instead...

    As per the jade doll’s advice, he had gotten rid of his shabby clothes (or so the jade doll had referred to them) and donned a set of casual white shirt and denim jacket, plus straight jeans that highlighted his taper waist and long legs. Right now, he looked every inch like a popular senior in a university.

    They drove for an hour more until Shen Nianzu turned into an ordinary apartment complex and parked in an empty lot. "We are here," he said, turning off the engine.
