CHAPTER 14: CHAPTER 14: A DAY OF COLD JIBES AND HARSH RIDICULE

Nancy Jennings noted her down.

Faye Turner suppressed her shock and took the elevator to the floor where the design department was located.

Director Peterson quite appreciated her and was praising her creative work when Nancy Jennings pushed the door open and said, "Faye Turner!"

The girl was startled, and Nancy berated her harshly, finally warning her, "During this period, it’s best if you avoid the President, let him forget about today’s drama! Otherwise, if it affects the design department, I’ll hold you accountable!"

I also want to avoid him, but... tonight we still have to share the same bed.

How could Faye Turner dare to argue?

She stood straight and nodded rapidly, "Yes, yes, yes, I understand, Director. I’m sorry, I was wrong."

Seeing her sincere attitude of admitting fault, along with Director Peterson’s plea and having a busy schedule, Nancy Jennings did not continue to hold Faye Turner accountable.

Director Peterson signed a contract with Faye Turner, discussed her salary, and then asked, "Do you have time today?"

"I do, I do, I do, I do."

"But we cannot pay you today; if you have time, please go to the large office next door and familiarize yourself with our design department matters with your colleagues."

"Alright."

Director Peterson took her next door and introduced, "Everybody, please stop your work for a moment. Let me introduce a new colleague."

"Hello everyone, my name is Faye Turner, please take care of me," the girl politely bowed to everyone.

The colleagues welcomed her, and after the introduction, Director Peterson left.

"Is it like a fairy tale from a fairy tale?" A girl spoke, laughing with a hint of teasing in her voice, "Do you think Cinderella can soar to become a phoenix? So you want to leave a special impression on the new President?"

Obviously, the speaking female designer was also downstairs earlier.

While everyone was puzzled, this designer relayed the incident downstairs to everyone, making Faye Turner blush with embarrassment.

"Hahaha, has someone been reading too many romance novels?" Someone jeered.

"Girl from the fairy tale, let me give you a warm reminder; this President may be newly appointed, but that doesn’t mean he’s an idiot. Rumor has it that he’s been secretly running the company for years."

"Also, although the President is only 23, he acts swiftly and decisively. If you don’t want to end up badly, I advise you to keep any tricks to yourself and focus on work!"

"If you want to get the President’s attention, speak with your work!" a blonde guy spoke, who was trendy and sporting a nose ring, "There’s a jewelry series launch called ’One Glance Eternity,’ which the new President is most concerned about, but I hear from Director Peterson that you have no work experience. How are you going to compete with us? The company is facing layoffs."

In short, Faye Turner’s day in the design department was one of deep water and scorching fire.

Facing the colleagues’ coldness and sarcasm, fortunately she had a strong heart.

Firstly, she liked design, wanted to try, and her passion could withstand the long years.

Secondly, she needed the job to earn money to support Milo Turner’s studies.

Finally enduring until quitting time, after Faye Turner said goodbye to Director Peterson, she took the elevator downstairs. Upon arriving at the lobby again, she couldn’t help but recall the scene from this morning, still feeling unsettled.

Her flash marriage husband turned out to be the President of Prestige Group?

Doesn’t that make her a true high society lady?

Wouldn’t the child she bears be a high society heir?

Just as she exited the company lobby, Faye Turner saw Adrian Lancaster heading towards a car parked nearby, his tall and outstanding figure with a driver pulling the car door open for him and greeting him respectfully.

It’s the car that picked him up at the marriage registration office door.

Before the car drove away, she took out her phone and snapped a picture, captured by the President’s secretary Ivy Jennings, who had just walked out of the lobby wearing a blue suit.
