CHAPTER 25: CHAPTER 25: THE PRESIDENT SEEMS A BIT JEALOUS

"Special assistant?" The girl was slightly surprised. "He already has a secretary, now a special assistant? Does this mean he doesn’t need to do anything himself?"

"Of course not." Dustin defended the president, speaking full of admiration, "Major company decisions require Adrian to analyze data and then come up with accurate judgments. It’s mentally exhausting, and no one else can do it for him."

Dustin continued, "Don’t be fooled by the president’s age; he’s been secretly controlling the company for years. How else could Prestige Group be so successful? He’s truly a business genius, far smarter than you imagine."

Hearing this, Adrian Lancaster’s image became even grander in her mind.

At this moment, the Lamborghini headed towards the hospital.

Adrian Lancaster was driving personally, his hands gripping the steering wheel, the warm sun streaming through the window, making his handsome face all the more stunning.

He couldn’t believe it — Dustin actually got into a fight at the company entrance, and even managed to injure himself.

Ivy Jennings, in a deep blue suit, black stockings, and a body-hugging skirt, sat graciously in the back seat.

Although her exquisitely made-up face appeared calm, her thoughts were somewhat complicated.

Her gaze fell on the empty passenger seat.

She wondered which woman would be fortunate enough to occupy this position she longed for.

While she drifted off in thought, the car came to a halt in front of the hospital.

Ivy walked with Adrian Lancaster into the hospital lobby, and the two took the elevator upstairs.

As they entered the ward, Faye Turner was peeling an apple. She looked up, her gaze meeting Adrian Lancaster’s.

She paused for a moment.

Seeing Faye there also surprised Adrian Lancaster.

When Ivy saw Faye, her expression changed subtly.

"President, Ivy." Despite his hand pain, Dustin was in good spirits, smiling as he asked, "What brings you here?"

The two snapped out of their thoughts, turning to the man leaning against the headboard.

At this moment, Faye finished peeling the apple and handed it to Dustin.

"Thank you." Dustin reached out and took the apple, his warm smile comparable to the sunlight streaming in.

Adrian Lancaster noticed that the joy and affection in Dustin’s glance at the girl were unmistakable.

"Hello, President Lancaster." Faye put down the fruit knife and stood up. "Hello, Secretary Jennings." She greeted calmly.

Ivy did not respond, not even sparing Faye another look, maintaining her usual aloofness.

Adrian Lancaster inquired about Dustin’s condition and advised him to focus on recovery.

Dustin was not just his subordinate but also his friend.

"Faye," Adrian Lancaster turned his gaze to his lawful wife. "Return to the company and leave Ivy here to take care of him."

Ivy was stunned, incredulously turning her eyes to the president.

Dustin was also dumbfounded, wanting to say something but unsure how to retain her.

"Let’s go, Faye." Adrian Lancaster stood tall, glancing at the girl opposite the bed before leaving.

Faye had no choice but to say goodbye to Dustin. He was still at a loss when she followed the president out.

Standing before the bed, Ivy noticed a small detail. The president actually knew this girl’s name?

"Ivy, you should return to the company too. I don’t need company here." Dustin’s voice was gentle.

Ivy looked at him, "Would I dare not follow the president’s orders?" As soon as she finished speaking, she turned to the window, her gaze lowered toward the Lamborghini.

Before long, she saw Faye following the president out and to the Lamborghini.

Ivy watched as the president personally opened the passenger door, holding her breath as Faye got into the passenger seat.

Even after the car drove away, Ivy remained in a daze.

Her eyes lost focus, beneath her cold exterior, her passionate heart sank, as if falling to the bottom of a valley.

Inside the Lamborghini heading to the company, Faye sat in this car for the first time and felt quite imposing. Knowing the price made her inexplicably nervous.

She was cautious even with her breathing.

Compared to the girl’s nervousness, Adrian Lancaster seemed very calm.

He held the steering wheel with one hand, the other casually resting by the window, his deep eyes fixed ahead.

The car’s atmosphere was somewhat tense.

Several times, Faye turned her eyes to his profile, constantly feeling he was just a bit upset.

As his lawful wife, she wondered if she should explain this matter to him today.

So, the girl began carefully composing her words.

Remembering Dustin’s gaze at Faye, Adrian Lancaster felt inexplicably unhappy, his thin lips parting slightly, "Do you intend to cuckold me?"
