CHAPTER 29: CHAPTER 29: IVY JENNINGS IS COMPLETELY STUNNED

Adrian Lancaster allows her presence, and a major reason is because she bears some resemblance to Sienna.

Occasionally, Faye Turner fills the void in the man’s heart and provides him with an illusion of security.

After a quick search on Baidu, she took a bus to a luxury shopping street and walked straight into an Hermès boutique.

The clothes here were indeed beautiful, and when the lights shone on the fabric, they looked truly high-quality.

Faye didn’t have time to choose anything when she unexpectedly ran into Ivy Jennings.

The two girls stood about three to four meters apart, their gazes meeting.

Today, Ivy wasn’t wearing her professional attire. A black dress highlighted her feminine allure. Her skin was fair, and her shoulder-length short hair was down, unlike how she usually tied it up for work.

She seemed less professional and more charming.

Faye quickly averted her eyes and didn’t greet her. After all, the other girl always targeted her. They weren’t superior and subordinate nor friends.

"Excuse me, is there an S size for this one?" Faye pointed to a light pink shirt on the rack and asked the sales associate with a smile.

"Hello, ma’am, this one is an S size." The sales associate replied with a smile, without condescension, "This entire row is designer pieces, and there’s only one of each."

"Then I’ll take this one." As she spoke, Faye reached out to grab it.

Ivy approached her in high heels and gently reminded her, "Miss Turner, this is an Hermès store. Are you aware of their price range?"

With her salary, she might not even afford a single piece in a month.

Faye turned her gaze at the sound, her smile sweet and her tone slightly proud, "I’ve never bought from here before, so I’m not sure of the price range, but it doesn’t matter. I have money on my card and can swipe it freely."

Ivy smiled but didn’t say anything further.

She stood aside, watching Faye choose, waiting for her to make a fool of herself and be at a loss for words.

"Could you also wrap this one for me, please? Thank you." Faye picked out another dress, a lace jacquard silk one.

Ivy thought she had good taste. This one was 100% silk; she liked it a lot but was deterred by the price—it would take two months’ salary to afford it.

The sales associate served Faye, though she too wondered if Faye could afford it.

But what if she could? It would mean a substantial commission.

For that one-in-a-thousand chance, the salesperson served her with a particularly attentive smile.

Faye was in a hurry and didn’t pay attention to Ivy. She picked out a few dresses she immediately liked, also selecting some scarves and pairing them with shoes.

Faye actually had good taste and knew she had enough money on her card, so she didn’t bother asking about the prices. She just bought what she liked.

"That should be about it. I’ll take these." Faye went to the cashier.

"Alright." The sales associate was still hopeful, wishing she had the funds.

Ivy roughly calculated for her, estimating it to be over 500,000 yuan, as they were mostly designer pieces.

Just as Ivy thought Faye wouldn’t be able to pay, Faye calmly took out a gold card and handed it over, "Use this."

The store clerk took the card and swiped it, and Faye entered the PIN.

Then the clerk verified the name, "Is it Adrian Lancaster?"

"Yes."

Ivy was utterly stunned upon hearing this.

What?

The President’s card??

Watching Faye finish the transaction and leave with the packed clothes, Ivy stood frozen. How could this be?

How did she have the President’s card?

And it was an unlimited gold card.

Thinking back to Faye calling out the President’s name openly on his first day at work.

And after warning Faye that day, the President told her to focus on work, seemingly defending Faye?

Recalling the time they visited Dustin Shepherd at the hospital, the President directly took Faye away, allowing her to sit in the passenger seat of the car.

All signs pointed ingeniously to a not-so-ordinary relationship between the two.

Upon reaching this conclusion, Ivy felt all the blood in her body freeze.

So, is Faye being kept by the President?
