When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster
Chapter 41: Adrian Lancaster, Are You Crazy?
CHAPTER 41: CHAPTER 41: ADRIAN LANCASTER, ARE YOU CRAZY?
"Pretty good, full of energy." The old man smiled, looking kindly.
He eagerly asked, "When will you have some good news? Be sure to share it with Grandpa immediately! Grandpa hopes day and night, just waiting for Faye to have a baby!"
Leaning against Adrian Lancaster, Faye Turner listened to this and her neck turned red, feeling extremely awkward inside.
"Please rest assured, Grandpa." Adrian’s lips slightly curved, "We will definitely notify you immediately."
"Good, good." The old man didn’t delay them too long, after urging them exchanged goodnight, then ended the call.
Faye propped herself up, stretched, and turned to get out of bed, but Adrian grabbed her arm.
The girl abruptly turned her eyes, "What’s up?"
The man just put down his phone and pulled her into the covers, "Since Grandpa is urging us, shall we fulfill some marital duties?"
With those words, he rolled over and embraced her.
"Adrian Lancaster, are you crazy?" Faye cupped her chest with her hands, unable to believe he seriously meant it.
But the fact was, she had leaned into his chest earlier, arousing his desire.
And because this woman stirred an eternal longing, he spent the whole afternoon missing the girl who had entered his heart, yet was now gone.
And Faye Turner indeed bore some resemblance to Sienna...
Thus, Adrian’s emotions shifted at certain moments...
If he meant business, how could she dare resist?
Faye complied, not only did she not resist, but instead she reached out to hug his waist, actively unbuttoning his shirt, becoming very proactive all at once.
This made Adrian’s gaze deepen, the warm yellow indoor light, smelling the unique fragrance of the woman, gently caressing her smooth skin, his kiss hadn’t yet landed, when her kiss met his.
After a round of chaos, Faye grabbed the man’s shoulders, leaned toward his ear, and said with a bit of pride, "Adrian Lancaster, tonight I’m the one sleeping with you, not the other way around."
In the dim glow of the small night light indoors, the man’s eyes darkened, biting her lips...with a touch of dominance and punishment.
It must be said, such acts of love between a man and a woman opened up Adrian’s inner channels, after all, he had always kept away from women, maintaining his purity.
The next morning.
After waking up, he didn’t wake her, despite her needing to go to work today.
When the alarm sounded, Faye drowsily opened her eyes, reached for her phone to turn off the alarm.
She then noticed he had gotten up and was standing at the bed dressing, tall and handsome.
That handsome face was cold, carrying an inherent sense of detachment.
Even knowing she was awake, Adrian didn’t look directly at her.
No matter how passionate last night had been, he was just as indifferent this morning, as if everything was an illusion.
Adrian suddenly realized, the woman in bed was ultimately not his beloved Sienna.
Taking a custom-made watch from the bedside table, he turned and left.
With the sound of the door closing, Faye felt a hollow emptiness inside, lying in bed alone for a long time, her mind a little blank, as if last night had been just a dream.
Until the alarm rang again, she finally came to her senses and prepared to get up for work.
Why should she be sad?
Faye smiled slightly, comforting herself, it’s merely a partnership for old age, there was never love involved.
And what happened last night was just a human instinct, unrelated to love.
After Adrian went downstairs, Mr. Kerr opened the Lamborghini door for him, "Good morning, Mr. President."
"Good morning." He bent and sat in the car.
Along the way, his mood was inexplicably gloomy, with lingering thoughts of the moments from last night on the double bed revolving in his mind.
Even at the office, Adrian remained somewhat distracted.
The images of Sienna and Faye constantly overlapping in his mind.
The feeling during the work with Faye was something Adrian had never experienced in his life, bringing him physical and mental pleasure, and making him feel wonderful.
Indeed, he didn’t hate Faye as much as he initially did, though it wasn’t quite like either.
But he regretted touching a woman he didn’t love.
