CHAPTER 44: CHAPTER 44: MRS. LANCASTER GETS THE SCOOP

Adrian Lancaster laughed coldly to himself. Although he was seven years older than himself, in his eyes, Adrian was really childish!

"Brandon Lancaster, why are you reacting so strongly to a personnel change that others can accept?" Adrian Lancaster’s tone was unhurried, hitting the mark.

"..." The man was furious. Wasn’t this an obvious question? Yet he had no way to counter Adrian.

Though he held the position of Vice General Manager at the company, despite working diligently for seven years, he hadn’t advanced even a step! Brandon Lancaster was extremely frustrated.

He had initially hoped to produce dazzling results and earn the recognition of the executives, but Adrian Lancaster dismantled his team at this critical juncture!

Locking his gaze coolly on him, Adrian Lancaster had long understood his intentions, "If you weren’t secretly gathering forces, why fear being dismantled?"

The man’s face turned pale, unable to respond, he could only retort hastily, "Adrian Lancaster! You’re slandering me!"

"If you want to do it, do it. If you don’t, then leave!" Adrian Lancaster completely lost patience, not caring if Faye Turner heard.

The man seemed to wake up immediately, realizing that stubborn resistance might lead to loss, as Adrian Lancaster was clearly targeting him! Moreover, Adrian’s methods were iron-fisted.

But, with immense ambition and having long plotted, how could Brandon Lancaster easily concede?

"You’d better perform well on every project!" Brandon Lancaster suddenly withdrew his hostility, his reminder tinged with provocation, "A new official burns three fires, and there are many eyes on you. You’re young and want to win over others; it’s not as simple as you think."

"Zhang, oh no, Brandon Lancaster." Adrian Lancaster chuckled, "Allow me to remind you too, from today onwards, do your job well, or it may lead to jail."

This statement sent shivers down Brandon Lancaster’s spine! What information did Adrian hold??

Adrian Lancaster stepped to the doorway, opened the door, and cast a glance at the oblivious and turbulent man once more, speaking again, "Vice General Manager Lancaster, you may leave."

Brandon Lancaster hated this title immensely!

General Manager, yet still deputy!! It made him unable to hold his head high!

His anger not fully vented, having swallowed a lot of bitterness, but he had no choice but to recognize the situation: this greenhorn kid had taken office! He was now the President of Prestige Group.

So Brandon Lancaster turned and left, feeling extremely aggrieved! His ordeal witnessed by a mere clerk!

Faye Turner stood rooted to the spot, her body tense, not daring to breathe heavily, for fear of being implicated.

Until footsteps approached from afar, she blinked and awakened, turning her gaze to meet Adrian Lancaster’s dark and ominous eyes, her throat tightened, and her scalp tingled.

The man approached her step by step, finally standing before Faye Turner, his tall figure casting a shadow over her.

The girl held her breath, "..." knowing his mood was bad, he certainly wouldn’t sign.

"Well..." Faye Turner tried hard to suppress her inner panic, reeling in her thoughts quickly and changing the subject, "It was Director Jennings who originally asked me to come to you for a signature, but please go ahead with your work, I’m not in a hurry."

She finished speaking and turned to leave with the documents, but a large hand stretched out before her, causing Faye Turner to halt her steps and take a step back, lifting her gaze and staring blankly for a few seconds.

The man’s deep and cold eyes kept focused on her, and Faye Turner came back to her senses, trying to pass the documents to him, "... I don’t know what this is either." She bowed her head respectfully.

Adrian Lancaster reached out to take it, casually asking, "Does she know about our relationship?"

The girl abruptly lifted her eyes, "Probably not? I haven’t mentioned it to anyone."

At this moment, the office door opened, and Ivy Jennings walked in, momentarily stunned by the scene, feeling shocked and displeased inside.

Adrian Lancaster took the documents and turned to walk towards the desk.

Faye Turner glanced at Ivy Jennings, "Hello, Secretary Jennings." She then followed to the president’s desk.

After Adrian Lancaster sat down, he began to look over the documents seriously.

Soon, Faye Turner saw him pick up a pen and sign at the end, and she breathed a small sigh of relief, finally able to report back to Director Jennings.

Ivy Jennings couldn’t comprehend how Faye Turner, just a newly hired junior designer, could directly liaise with the president. What on earth were these documents?
