CHAPTER 45: CHAPTER 45: PRESIDENT LANCASTER IS A RUTHLESS MAN

Soon, Adrian Lancaster put down his pen, closed the file, and handed it to her.

"Thank you, President!" Faye Turner hurriedly reached out to take it, then quickly turned and slipped away!

Ivy Jennings sat down at her desk, and after Faye left, she noticed that the President seemed to be in a bad mood, his expression somewhat cold.

Under such a mood, he wouldn’t possibly sign any documents, yet he signed for this junior employee?

Puzzled, jealous.

Faye, holding the signed document, was in the elevator going downstairs, with the words ’Adrian Lancaster Brandon Peterson Brandon Lancaster’ flashing through her mind. What was their relationship?

Half-brothers?

An illegitimate child of his father from outside?

It didn’t seem right... because that man looked older than Adrian Lancaster, and aren’t illegitimate children generally younger?

Unable to figure it out, anyway, it had nothing to do with her, so she stopped thinking about it!

Entering the director’s office, when Faye handed the document to Nancy Jennings, Nancy uncertainly asked, "The President signed it?"

"Yes, he signed it." The girl replied easily.

Nancy’s eyes brightened, first with disbelief, then she glanced over and her face lit up with joy, "Oh my! You’re amazing!"

"What happened?"

"You managed a budget exceeding the limit by 50%! In the past, the President wouldn’t have approved it!"

"Ah?" Faye’s expression changed, "Director Jennings, you tricked me!"

But Nancy was very pleased, "How can you say it’s a trick? It’s because you’re tight with Assistant Shepherd! It’s done, so you can get back to work! Focus on designing your eye-catching masterpiece! Remember to close the door!"

Faye hesitated to speak but couldn’t explain that it had nothing to do with Assistant Shepherd, so she had no choice but to turn and leave, but she truly broke into a sweat for herself, exceeding the limit by 50%?

Two hours later.

Dustin Shepherd, holding a document, arrived at the Vice General Manager’s office and knocked before entering.

At this moment, Brandon Lancaster was standing by the window on a call. Turning his eyes and seeing him, he hurriedly said in a deep voice, "Let’s leave it for now, we’ll talk when I’m free."

"Good day, Vice General Manager Lancaster." Dustin spoke politely, handing over the document with both hands, "This is your resignation letter, I need your signature here."

"What?" Brandon Lancaster, understanding the purpose, stared incredulously at him, not reaching out to take it, fire flaring in his eyes, "He’s firing me??"

Dustin maintained a gentle expression, correcting with a smile, "No, it’s you voluntarily applying for resignation."

Brandon Lancaster felt like he had been slapped in the face, his expression instantly darkened, "What on earth did I do? On what grounds is he treating me this way?"

"Simply because he’s the President." Dustin gently reminded, "The top executive of the group."

The man was furious, glaring at him, yet unable to retort!

"Vice General Manager Lancaster, once you sign, it won’t be embarrassing." Dustin spoke respectfully, placing the document and pen in front of him.

Brandon Lancaster knew Adrian Lancaster was targeting him, and now he had no choice, he couldn’t stand up against him, no matter how unwilling he was, he could only obediently sign.

But he truly felt suffocated inside! This was unbearable!

On the 22nd floor, in the President’s office.

Adrian Lancaster settled into his chair, his composed demeanor displaying a level of steadiness and mastery surpassing that of young men.

Wearing a fitted suit and a pencil skirt, Ivy Jennings placed a plate of sliced starfruit gently beside his elbow, "President, have some fruit."

"Hmm." The man didn’t look up at her, engrossed in work.

Ivy glanced at his handsome profile, turned, and left.

Not long after, she brewed a cup of coffee and placed it gently next to his mouse, "President, do you have something on your mind?"

Out of affection, she couldn’t help but be concerned.

Adrian Lancaster paused his hand on the mouse, slightly turning his gaze towards her.

The woman leaned slightly, meeting the man’s deep eyes up close, her heartbeat inexplicably quickening, she smiled, "I noticed you seem... a bit unhappy today."

"Focus on your work." Adrian Lancaster was composed and aloof, withdrawing his gaze, "Distraction leads to mistakes."

Ivy felt a bit embarrassed, turning to leave; however, once back at her desk, her mind was unsettled again.

What’s the real relationship between the President and Faye Turner?

After a while, the words ’Sweet Delight’ flashed through her mind, considering helping relieve the President’s worries.

If she could invite this dessert chef to make ’Sweet Delight’ for Mr. Mark, it would appear more sincere.

If they secured the big order, she’d share the credit too, raising her standing in the President’s eyes.

She was more than willing to handle matters beyond work like this.

So in her work, Ivy Jennings received Adrian Lancaster’s recognition.
