CHAPTER 46: CHAPTER 46: IVY JENNINGS ALSO SEEKS OUT RIYUTIAN

5:30 PM.

As Adrian Lancaster walked out of the company lobby, he saw his wife getting into the passenger seat of Dustin Shepherd’s car, which then drove away.

Stopping to watch the car disappear into the distance, his eyes darkened slightly, and he was not happy.

Not far away, Mr. Kerr opened the door of the Lamborghini and also happened to witness the scene just now.

Adrian Lancaster withdrew his gaze, hands in his pockets, striding towards the car. Once inside, he remained silent, his aura a bit cold, his expression somewhat sullen.

Mr. Kerr drove, glancing at Adrian several times through the rearview mirror. He noticed that Adrian’s handsome features gradually tensed, and his expression was very serious, as if he wanted to speak but held back.

Thus, considering Adrian’s dignity, Mr. Kerr took the initiative and asked, "President, should we follow them?"

"Follow," Adrian Lancaster replied quickly, feeling a bit awkward afterward.

With a press on the accelerator, Mr. Kerr cleverly tailed Dustin’s car from behind another vehicle, ensuring they wouldn’t be noticed.

Ten minutes later, the car stopped, and Adrian snapped back to reality, realizing he didn’t even know why he had followed!

As he turned his gaze, he just happened to see that girl entering a high-end restaurant with Dustin.

Was this a dinner date?

The two walked in side by side, chatting and laughing, looking very much like a couple, which left Adrian Lancaster feeling uneasy, even though he knew there was nothing between them.

He didn’t get out of the car, but instead, glanced at the time on his wristwatch and said to Mr. Kerr, "Let’s go home."

"Yes, President." Mr. Kerr started the car again, feeling quite nervous on Mrs. Lancaster’s behalf. With the president keeping time, it didn’t seem good.

Presumably, the later she got home, the graver the danger.

Adrian Lancaster turned his gaze out the window, unsure of what was wrong with himself. It was just that his mood... wasn’t great, and images of being intimate with this woman occasionally flashed in his mind.

But why was he unhappy?

He didn’t love her!

Adrian Lancaster was also quite irate, plagued by inexplicable emotions. Hmm, it should just be a man’s possessiveness! After all, she was his lawful wife.

He could never possibly fall in love with her!

About an hour later, Faye Turner and Dustin Shepherd walked out of the restaurant. The sunset was exceptionally beautiful, casting a glow on Faye’s face, which left Dustin momentarily dazed.

"Shall I take you home?"

"No, no, no, I have something else to do." Faye waved at him, "Goodbye, I’m leaving first!" She then quickly turned and left.

Watching her leave, the smile on Dustin Shepherd’s lips was tender, with a sparkle in his eyes.

Faye Turner needed to head to The Fairy Tale Nook, as it was her store, and she should check on it whenever she had time, not just be an absentee owner.

At this time, Ivy Jennings had just finished her work. Her car cruised slowly by the river, with the GPS indicating her destination was nearby.

She glanced out at the row of shops from her car window, searching for ’The Fairy Tale Nook.’

Finally, she spotted the shop.

After parking her car and walking through the glass door, she saw only Shannon inside, "Hello, welcome to The Fairy Tale Nook. A small treat every day. What would you like?"

In contrast to Shannon’s beaming hospitality, Ivy seemed a bit aloof.

Without responding, she looked around at the décor, her high heels clicking. It was a simple little shop, yet it could produce desserts satisfactory to Mr. Mark? She found it quite surprising.

Standing behind the counter, Shannon, while making desserts, glanced at the female customer. She was quite pretty, with exquisite makeup, but there was a sense of distance.

"Hello, who makes the ’Daily Sweet’?" Ivy asked directly, "I want to invite her to make one for me tomorrow."

"I’m sorry, it’s discontinued." Shannon replied with a smile, "The pastry chef no longer works here."

Ivy only paused slightly, not very surprised, "Would it be convenient to give me her number then?"

Shannon shook her head, "I’m sorry, that’s not possible."

"Why?" Ivy couldn’t understand.

Facing her gaze, Shannon explained, "What do you mean, why? My friend no longer makes desserts; she changed careers and now works every day, she’s very busy."

At this moment, Faye Turner walked in and saw Ivy’s back at the counter, also hearing what Shannon just said.

"How about this, name your price, I’ll pay you." Ivy said in a businesslike manner, "Just give me her number, and you don’t need to worry about the rest."
