CHAPTER 58: CHAPTER 58: PERSONALLY SELECTING A GIFT FOR MRS. LANCASTER

The old man ended the call, Adrian Lancaster put down his phone and turned his gaze towards the girl leaning beside him.

Their eyes met, and Faye Turner lifted the quilt and got out of bed. She consciously left the master bedroom, and the man did not try to stop her.

The next morning.

Adrian Lancaster went downstairs and got into the Lamborghini. As usual, Mr. Kerr started the car and headed to the company.

He has never gone to work together with Faye Turner. Although it wasn’t explicitly stated, it seemed to have become an unspoken agreement.

Adrian Lancaster suddenly recalled something Faye Turner had said last night. Thoughtfully, he asked, "Mr. Kerr, have you ever given a girl a gift?"

Mr. Kerr was slightly startled and incredulously glanced at him. What was he up to?

He quickly explained, "It’s like... if she helped you a lot, you need to thank her. What would be a suitable return gift?"

Mr. Kerr detected the rare awkwardness in his tone and seemed to understand something.

He chuckled and asked, "Mr. President, well, it depends on who she is. Colleagues and friends are different, and if it’s Miss Turner, it’s even more different."

Adrian Lancaster was puzzled, "How is she different?"

"Are you really planning to give a gift to Miss Turner?" Mr. Kerr smiled, already understanding, and said to him, "She’s your wife, of course, it’s different. The gift should carry more weight to cheer her up, and you’ll live more comfortably afterward. Women, you know, return tenfold."

Holding the steering wheel and looking ahead, Mr. Kerr said, "Be good to her, and she’ll only be better to you. Miss Turner is a kind woman; you can tell just by looking at her eyes."

Adrian Lancaster glanced out the window, his heart a bit conflicted at the moment. Is gift-giving really that sophisticated?

"Mr. President, would you like to buy the gift now?" Mr. Kerr encouraged, "There’s still time, and there aren’t many people at the mall right now, it’s on the way."

Adrian Lancaster thought about it, "Hmm." He didn’t refuse. Having helped him so much, giving her a gift was appropriate.

Mr. Kerr was delighted and immediately drove towards the mall.

About five minutes later, Adrian Lancaster and Mr. Kerr got out of the car.

"Can you help me pick?" He invited Mr. Kerr, "I’ve never bought a gift for a girl."

Mr. Kerr was pleased to help, "Sure, let’s go!"

The two men walked towards the mall, Mr. Kerr said, "What do you want to give Miss Turner? Do you have any ideas?"

"Necklace? Bracelet? Don’t all women like these?" Adrian Lancaster wasn’t very focused; he just wanted to thank her, not to please her.

So he didn’t want to put too much thought into it and didn’t even consider custom gifts.

"If the old man knows you’re personally picking out a gift for Miss Turner early in the morning, he would be very happy." Mr. Kerr seemed infected by the mood, his smile showing.

Adrian Lancaster’s voice was low and magnetic, "Then could you find a chance to tell Grandpa, make him happy?"

"Sure!"

Behind them, Ivy Jennings was carrying a delicate, small gift bag, preparing to leave. She accidentally turned her gaze and saw that tall, familiar figure.

Mr. President??

Driven by curiosity, she quietly followed them and found they had arrived at a women’s jewelry counter.

"Sir, what do you need?" The sales assistant was enthusiastic and smiling, seeing the man’s attire as a likely big spender.

Adrian Lancaster wasn’t going to buy just anything. He browsed the counter’s displays with his deep eyes, making his selection with unique taste.

Mr. Kerr stayed by his side like a steward.

The bright lights made Adrian Lancaster’s chiseled face appear even more handsome, with an innate charisma that draws lingering glances.

Eventually, the man’s long, attractive fingers pointed at a necklace in the display case, "This one." His voice was so pleasant it was enchanting.

"Sir, you have great taste," the sales assistant said while helping him with the necklace, "This ’Jade Rabbit Leaping to the Moon’ necklace is the store’s feature item. It signifies quietly cherishing beauty and is a limited edition for the Year of the Rabbit, symbolizing auspicious health and happiness."

"Wrap it up," Adrian Lancaster handed over a card, "Charge it."

He didn’t even ask the price! The sales assistant was astonished.
