CHAPTER 772: CHAPTER 772: INVITE HER OVER TO TAKE A PULSE
"Then hurry up! Why are you still standing there?" Rachel glanced anxiously around, realizing his car was nowhere in sight. "You can take our car! It passes by the hospital!"
Seeing he didn’t resist, she grabbed his hand and ran towards the nearby press car.
"Driver, could you stop at the hospital entrance and let my boyfriend off there?"
"Okay, hop in."
Just like that, Chase and Rachel got into the car.
Rachel’s colleagues knew he was Chase Fletcher, the President of the Fletcher Group, but they hadn’t met him face-to-face, so it was hard to greet him proactively.
The main thing was, the atmosphere was a bit off, as if something happened, and they needed to get to the hospital.
"I’m really worried about Grandma too. Go to the hospital and see what’s happening, and message me when you can." Rachel held his hand reassuringly. "Don’t worry, medical skills are good these days."
When Chase looked at her, his eyes were full of concern, his brow furrowed tightly. "Mm-hmm." He reached out and patted her on the head.
"Don’t worry, I have friends with me. We’ll stick together for support and be safe, and there’ll be people to look after us when we get there." Rachel smiled, hoping he wouldn’t worry too much about her.
Soon, the car stopped at the hospital entrance.
Before getting off, Chase said to her, "I’ll come find you when I’m done. Let’s keep in touch."
As he spoke, he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead in front of everyone.
Then Rachel watched him get off the car, taking his phone out to make a call while walking towards the hospital.
"Driver, you can go now, thank you."
As Rachel’s words fell, the press car continued ahead, and her colleagues envied such a loving relationship.
"President Fletcher really cares about you."
Rachel smiled bashfully, though her heart was heavy, not knowing how Grandma was doing.
Granny Hughes just arrived at the hospital, and Ian Fletcher and Summer Hughes rushed over, almost at the same time as Chase.
"When I found Grandma, she was collapsed in the yard, surrounded by several kittens. We have no idea how long she had been unconscious..." Kylie Fletcher cried as she told everyone.
The elderly woman was wheeled into the emergency room, with all the Fletcher Family waiting outside, anxious and worried.
Chase’s heart was utterly chaotic, concerned about Rachel on one hand and his grandma on the other.
Every second felt like an endless torment to him now, as if he couldn’t offer any help.
In the evening.
Adrian Lancaster was just getting ready to leave work when he received a call from Chase.
Exiting the elevator, one hand shoved into his pocket and the other holding his phone, he stepped outside, hearing Chase say—
"Adrian, my grandma fainted today. After two hours of emergency care at the hospital, she woke up and the doctors said there’s no major issue, allowing her to be discharged. We’re still worried because she’s elderly, so, you see... could your wife come over to help check her pulse? I’ve heard she’s a very skilled in Chinese medicine."
"Sure, no problem." Adrian answered promptly.
By now, he had walked out of the company’s lobby. "I’m off work now, I’ll pick her up. Is your grandma at your house?"
He bent down to get into the Lamborghini, and Mr. Kerr closed the door for him.
"Yes, her condition isn’t very good, she might be a bit weak, but the tests show no issues, and the doctor also doesn’t recommend hospitalization."
"Alright, we’ll be there shortly."
"Thanks for the trouble."
"No worries, no need to be so formal between friends." After finishing his sentence, Adrian ended the call.
On the way home, Adrian called Faye Turner, asking her to get ready, mentioning he’d be home soon to pick her up.
"Okay, Joy just finished her milk, I’ll wait for you."
When the Lamborghini parked in the villa’s front yard, Adrian still got out of the car.
Eager to enter the house, the first thing he did was scoop up his daughter from his wife’s arms, his heart and eyes full of love that anyone would envy.
"Joy, Daddy’s home. Look at Daddy, hey, so cute!"
Faye put on a light jacket, "Come on, let’s not dally, we can hold her at home later." Healing is more urgent now.
He kissed her little cheek, reluctant to even blink, and took in the baby fragrance emanating from his daughter, a silly smile spreading across his face.
