CHAPTER 81: CHAPTER 81: PRESIDENT LANCASTER AND MRS. LANCASTER SHARE THEIR BLESSINGS

Soon, Adrian Lancaster arranged for a car nearby. After Faye Turner got in, she sent him a WeChat message to say she was safe and added, "Thank you for your concern."

Adrian Lancaster glanced at the message, his face calm, and didn’t reply to her.

Faye Turner held her phone, waiting for a bit, feeling a bit puzzled. Clearly, he’s concerned about her, so why does he have to act so aloof? Is it really that hard to communicate properly?

They both returned home one after the other, and Faye Turner still felt warm inside.

She always felt he cared for her, so when she got in, she asked, "I noticed you didn’t eat much tonight. Are you hungry?"

"I’m not hungry." The man’s tone was a bit cold, thinking this woman was really oblivious. Even though Brandon Lancaster had approached her, she still hadn’t told him.

"Uh..." Faye Turner, wanting to make the most of their life together, expressed her gratitude to him, "Thank you for sending someone to pick me up."

He detected a hint of joy in her voice, wanting to maintain their marriage.

The man turned his head, frowning slightly and said, "I was only worried that Brandon Lancaster might come after you again. I don’t want anything to happen to you because of me. I couldn’t face Grandpa if something happened, so there’s no need to thank me, I didn’t mean anything else."

Those emotionless words completely dashed her joy.

"..." Faye Turner met his gaze and said nothing.

Then watching him walk towards the study, she thought to herself, did Dustin Shepherd tell him?

Clearly, he’s being nice to her, concerned about her safety, so why the need to deny it?

Can’t he just admit it for once?

Faye Turner sighed softly, Adrian Lancaster had entered the study again; was he still busy with work? Would he be working late even though he had work tomorrow? As his wife, she was a bit worried about him.

There was indeed a lot of good food tonight, but Faye Turner didn’t eat much, after all, such upscale events weren’t meant for stuffing oneself.

So, she was hungry.

She opened the fridge, took the last bag of dumplings, and headed to the kitchen, quickly cooking them.

Even Adrian Lancaster in the study could smell the aroma, and his stomach couldn’t help but start to rumble.

But five minutes passed, and the girl didn’t come in to invite him to eat together?

Adrian Lancaster couldn’t resist the temptation of the dumplings and finally got up and went to the dining room, his deep gaze fixed on her.

As his footsteps fell, a shadow loomed. The girl sitting at the dining table had just taken a bite of a dumpling when she looked up and met his gaze.

Adrian Lancaster spoke unhurriedly, asking her, "You’re eating by yourself?"

The girl blinked, chewed a few times, and swallowed the dumpling in her mouth, "I asked if you were hungry when we entered, and you said you weren’t."

"I’m hungry now."

At his words, the girl held her breath, "There are no more dumplings, just these."

He said nothing, his gaze fell on her bowl, there were probably seven or eight left.

Faye Turner’s gaze followed his line of sight and fell into her own bowl as well, so she sighed softly, "Wait a moment." She got up to get a bowl and chopsticks.

Adrian Lancaster didn’t stop her. When she came back, he watched as she offered him half, handing over the chopsticks, and said to him, "Let’s share the blessing, here you go."

Without being polite, he took the chopsticks and bowl, sat opposite her, and started eating as if no one else was around.

Adrian Lancaster had resisted dumplings for years and had recently grown to like the taste.

"Do you prefer the mushroom and meat filling?" Faye Turner had recently observed, "I’ll make some more tomorrow and put them in the fridge if I have time."

He didn’t object, she was quite pleased.

Soon, Chloe Gable sent her a message, saying that Milo had chosen a high school he wanted to attend after comparing them.

Faye Turner had looked up information on this high school, which had a high graduation rate, strict teachers, a nice school atmosphere, and was a key school in the city.

It was very, very difficult to transfer in, not only did one need good grades, but also a property certificate and local residency.

But for her brother, she still looked up and spoke, "Adrian, my brother picked a school, but it’s really hard to get into. Could you..."

"Which school?" The man finished the last dumpling, put down his chopsticks, and softly interrupted her.
