CHAPTER 96: CHAPTER 96: WHAT A COINCIDENCE

During this period, Ivy Jennings was in her best mood tonight, her lips couldn’t help but curl up, laughter was evident even in her eyes, like a girl in love.

In the apartment’s cloakroom, the suitcase lay open on the carpet. Ivy actually had many beautiful clothes, but usually had no occasion to wear them. Therefore, this time she found it hard to decide and didn’t know which ones to bring.

She was filled with anticipation for this business trip.

After much effort picking out clothes and preparing perfume and jewelry, with three pairs of shoes matched, she hoped to be the most dazzling presence in Adrian Lancaster’s eyes.

Nighttime, Aqua Flora Residences, in the master bedroom.

After eating dumplings, Faye Turner also opened her suitcase and began packing.

Adrian Lancaster watched her from the side, puzzled, and asked, "What are you doing?"

"Starting tomorrow, I don’t need to work regular hours, I’m going out to seek inspiration," she said while packing. "You don’t need to worry, I won’t come home before you do. Just send me a message when you’re back."

Finally, she looked up and added, "Grandpa won’t be suspicious seeing me leaving with things." That smile was kind and harmless.

Adrian didn’t say anything, but he felt uneasy inside. Did she really not care about Sienna? Then... did she not care about him either?

He had also eaten dumplings earlier and was about to sleep, leaving her to pack by herself.

The next morning, the rain still persisted, and it had noticeably gotten colder.

Inside the moving Lamborghini, Adrian Lancaster and Ivy Jennings sat in the back seat.

Mr. Kerr drove the car, and they were heading to a village yet to be fully developed — Serene Hollow Village.

Today, Ivy was dressed particularly softly, wearing everyday makeup, a black camisole maxi dress paired with a white V-neck cardigan knit jacket, which nicely complemented her neckline.

Even her earrings were matched thoughtfully, giving off a strong artistic vibe.

But in Adrian Lancaster’s eyes, she was no different today from any other time.

He didn’t even glance at her, his open laptop resting on his knees as he checked a set of data, even his work posture was enough to make one’s heart race.

Perhaps the scent of Ivy’s perfume was too strong; he surprisingly opened the window a bit despite the rainy day, making Ivy feel uneasy and embarrassed.

The woman turned her eyes, "President, have you had breakfast?"

"Hmm." The man didn’t even look up.

She withdrew her gaze, falling into silence. In truth, relationships between men and women must be mutual. Otherwise, when one side develops feelings, it places them in a very awkward situation.

Finally, they arrived at the only hotel in Serene Hollow Village, Mr. Kerr helped unload their luggage, and someone came out to greet them, taking them to their rooms to rest.

As usual on business trips, Ivy stayed next to Adrian Lancaster because a lot of work needed coordination.

Watching the man enter his room without a backward glance, Ivy only then unlocked her own door. Since Faye’s appearance, her relationship with the president had clearly deteriorated.

This made Ivy feel sad and she saw Faye as an eyesore.

Soon, just as Mr. Kerr finished checking in and stepped out, he saw Faye Turner getting off a taxi, first stunned, then walking towards her.

"Mr. Kerr??" Faye Turner holding a suitcase was surprised to see him, "Why are you here?"

"Miss Turner, did you... follow us here?" Mr. Kerr couldn’t help but be a bit surprised.

"Follow?" The girl with an innocent look, "Follow who?" She answered with a smile, "I’m here seeking inspiration. I heard there are many old houses awaiting demolition around here!"

Having been with Adrian Lancaster for a long time, Mr. Kerr had learned how to read people. From her gaze, she didn’t seem to be lying.

So, it really was a coincidence.

"Let me help you with the check-in." Mr. Kerr bent over to take the suitcase from her hand, his face kind and smiling, "Please come in."

The girl reacted, "Okay, thank you!" She quickly followed him, "Is Adrian Lancaster here too?"
