Chapter 218 - Necromancer?
CHAPTER 218: CHAPTER 218 - NECROMANCER?
The good news was that even after coming out of the cave, David could still easily enter it through the game.
Previously, there had been a restriction that prevented him from going inside the cave, even within the game. But now that he had just come out, the restriction no longer applied.
This was excellent news for David. Not only would the *Spirit Pond* be beneficial to him, but it would also help his family advance.
’I really wish I could find a better method to enhance the potential of my family. But until I do, I can use the Spirit Pond to help them. The main question is—how much will it help them, or even me, to increase our potential?
Unfortunately, without using the Spirit Pond, I won’t be able to know. Also... will there be any backlash if I continue entering the Spirit Pond?’
These were the questions circling David’s mind, but he had no answers yet. He decided to ask Teacher Alexa. She would definitely know.

Meanwhile, Border City D was filled with strong warriors. Everyone was there to reduce the crisis caused by the sudden appearance of spirit monsters and ghosts.
Even Teacher Alexa and the others were present inside the danger zone. Despite being instructors at the Golden Dawn Academy, they also took missions from the Warrior Association when the situation demanded it.
This crisis was immense, and it had drawn the attention of all major and powerful warriors at the request of the association.
Everyone had one goal in mind—reduce the crisis, or, if possible, eliminate it entirely.
Until now, no one had been able to figure out the source of these spirit monsters and ghosts. They had simply begun appearing randomly around parts of the danger zone, and their numbers continued to grow.
Many suspected that this was the work of the Dark Association or other illegal groups. Others believed some kind of supernatural beings were involved.
Unfortunately, no one knew the truth. Saint Markus and his team were working tirelessly to investigate the cause behind all of this.
Finally, after ten days of investigation, they came close to uncovering the real reason.
Alongside Alexa, many elite-grade warriors were deep inside the danger zone’s inner region, where the monsters were ten times more powerful than those in the outer areas.
They had just defeated a group of two hundred monsters and stopped briefly to recover their spiritual energy when they received a signal from Saint John.
Without delay, they moved toward his location to find out what had happened.

"I know that all of you have been waiting to learn the reason behind this crisis,"
Saint Markus said.
"At first, we were unable to find the cause, but now we finally have an answer.
As we suspected from the start, this crisis is not natural—it is man-made. Or, to be precise, supernatural beings are involved.
I have found traces of a very strange creature—something that is definitely not a monster. More importantly, ten years ago we encountered these same clues. These traces belong to a necromancer."
The moment Saint Markus mentioned *necromancer*, an immediate silence fell over the five hundred warriors present.
There was a good reason for that. Necromancers were extremely dangerous to any safe zone or population.
While they might appear human, they were no longer truly human. When a person died and their body was corrupted by death-aligned spiritual energy, they could be reborn as a necromancer.
A necromancer wielded death energy and could easily summon dead soldiers. That alone was enough to make anyone take the threat seriously—because unless the necromancer was dealt with directly, those soldiers would continue respawning infinitely.
And confronting a necromancer was no simple task. They possessed combat abilities of their own and could summon a poisonous death fog, which afflicted anyone caught inside with death energy corruption.
This was why every warrior’s expression hardened after hearing Saint Markus’s words.
’As I suspected, this crisis isn’t natural. Otherwise, the spirit monsters and ghosts would have been wiped out by now.
Even light-element attacks aren’t effective against them—that has to be because of the necromancer,’
Alexa thought.
Many other warriors were thinking the same thing. Unlike ghosts or spirit monsters, who were vulnerable to light attacks due to their dark energy, necromancers had no such weakness.
Moreover, the necromancer had been hidden all along—that explained why the monster numbers hadn’t decreased despite their efforts.

"As you all realize, the situation is extremely dangerous,"
Saint Markus continued.
"That is why I have decided to focus entirely on finding the necromancer.
Until then, your responsibility is to kill as many monsters as possible. Even though we can’t fully eliminate them until the necromancer is dealt with, reducing their numbers will at least buy us some time.
Fortunately, the safe zone is protected by powerful barriers, preventing the necromancer or other supernatural beings from entering directly.
Even though we have found traces of the necromancer, we don’t yet know the exact location. So I advise all of you to be extremely cautious.
If you find any trace, alert me and the others immediately—do not attempt to take the risk alone.
And remember, we don’t yet know if there’s only one necromancer or several."
With that, Saint Markus and Saint John left the area. Both decided to personally participate in the hunt, while the other warriors continued handling various urgent matters.
Given their strength, even the presence of just these two saints would ease the tension considerably.

Fortunately, none of the warriors present were reckless enough to confront a necromancer alone.
No matter how confident they were in their individual strength, they understood that this situation required caution.
The good thing is that the warriors most vulnerable to the necromancer’s abilities are not here.
Evacuating them beforehand was the smartest move, every warrior thought, as they remained deep inside the danger zone, preparing for the battle to come.
With this every Warriors begin to search around the danger zone while acting as a team. None of them acted alone.
