Whirlwind Marriage: My Possessive CEO's Undying Pampering
Chapter 265 - 264: What Is in the Contract? (Part 5)
CHAPTER 265: CHAPTER 264: WHAT IS IN THE CONTRACT? (PART 5)
Eva Nightingale paused for a moment. She looked at the towering building.
This was the headquarters of the Grant Group, and the head of the Grant Family was Douglas Grant. The very man who had pestered her at the Flash Fun Club last time!
Eva suddenly recalled how that man had claimed she was his, but Eva hadn’t paid him any mind.
What could Uncle want from him today?
While she was lost in thought, Sebastian Yansford grasped her hand, pulling her towards the elevator.
It was only then she snapped back to reality, noticing the staff guiding the way ahead.
*
The top floor.
A group of high-ranking managers hurried out of the CEO’s office, appearing quite anxious.
It was obvious that an important meeting had just been interrupted by the arrival of her and Uncle.
Douglas Grant donned a sharp suit, the picture-perfect image of a CEO. He glanced sideways in their direction.
His gaze first landed on Eva Nightingale, lingering for two seconds, a faint smirk tugging at his lips, before he turned to look at Sebastian Yansford.
"So, it’s Young Master Yansford!"
No wonder, he thought, seeing the commotion downstairs that scared everyone stiff, forcing him to end the meeting early. Well, if the billion-dollar deal didn’t get signed, so be it. He could afford to lose it.
"Miss Nightingale, it’s been a while," Douglas Grant remarked, a teasing note inflecting his tone.
Today, Douglas Grant didn’t immediately claim Eva Nightingale as his woman as he had in the past.
In fact, he only lingered around Eva that one time at the Flash Fun Club. It wasn’t really clinging, since it was Amos Nightingale himself who signed a contract with him, using Eva as leverage to save the Nightingale Group.
However, Amos Nightingale had failed to save the Nightingale Group.
Ever since the Crown Prince injected two billion into it, the Nightingale Group had been in decline.
The Nightingale Family had become rather quiet, ceasing to cause much trouble for Eva Nightingale.
Amos Nightingale’s attitude towards Eva had done a complete turn.
"From now on, stay away from Olivia," Sebastian Yansford declared directly.
He eyed the devilishly charming Douglas Grant.
The two had business dealings, their relationship wasn’t extremely close, but neither was it strained.
It’s just that Eva Nightingale was not involved in their social circles, so she didn’t know Douglas Grant.
"Tonight, you should bring Alice Cloud over."
Sebastian Yansford didn’t intend to let Alice Cloud stay with the Yansford Family any longer.
Alice Cloud? Eva Nightingale furrowed her brow. Who was Alice Cloud?
All these years, Eva Nightingale had never heard of this name.
She was filled with curious perplexity about this Alice Cloud her uncle mentioned.
From the sound of the name, Alice should be a gentle and elegant girl. But what was her relationship with Uncle and the Grant Family?
Douglas Grant furrowed his brow, glanced at Eva Nightingale, then focused his gaze on Sebastian Yansford: "What’s the matter? I’ve never even gotten close to your precious niece! Do you have to guard her like I’m some wolf?"
Damn it.
Look at this Grant Group, women in the entire company were longing to get close to him.
Then there’s Sebastian Yansford, acting all protective! Was Douglas Grant that disreputable?
"She is..." Sebastian Yansford tightly held Eva Nightingale’s hand. To be honest, when Eva was with Lucas Knight, he felt a bit jealous but never worried.
For some reason, entrusting Eva to the Crown Prince gave him great peace of mind.
But as for Douglas Grant, even though they were brothers, he didn’t want him getting close to Olivia!
After all, Douglas Grant had a reputation as a womanizer.
Sebastian Yansford, the typical protective uncle, wouldn’t allow these old players of the love game to mess with Eva Nightingale.
He coldly stated, "She belongs to the Crown Prince."
"And she’s part of the Yansford Family."
"Destroy that contract of sale, or if the Crown Prince doesn’t come after you, I will."
Sebastian Yansford learned unintentionally about the private dealings between Amos Nightingale and Douglas Grant.
