Whirlwind Marriage: My Possessive CEO's Undying Pampering
Chapter 356: No Appetite at All
CHAPTER 356: CHAPTER 356: NO APPETITE AT ALL
Eva Nightingale was taken by him and placed on the dining chair.
Suddenly, he said coldly, "Eat."
It was Eva’s first time here, and looking at the dining table, she was utterly shocked. The table was exceptionally large, round and rotating, the dishes seemed particularly lavish, yet she had no appetite.
The maids, wisely, came forward to serve Eva some soup, but unexpectedly, they were sent retreating by a cold, piercing glance from Lucas Knight.
The maids tactfully withdrew.
As if that wasn’t enough, he shouted again, "All of you get out."
He’s in the way here.
The maids bowed and made an exit sensibly.
Eva stared at him in a daze, truth be told, she really didn’t have any appetite. Recently, her morning sickness became more severe. She didn’t know she was carrying twins; she thought it was just one baby.
"Drink the soup."
He served a bowl of crucian carp soup and handed it to her. All these dishes were intended to nourish a pregnant woman; he specifically instructed the maid to prepare them.
Seeing Eva remain motionless, her face somewhat pale, he softened his tone, leaning closer: "Sweetheart, what’s wrong?"
Are none of the dishes to your liking?
Alright, alright.
Eat, this crucian carp soup, she must drink it. She’s carrying his heir; how can she go hungry?
His sudden softer tone stirred Eva’s emotions, as if she saw the shadow of Lucas Knight.
"Be good, open your mouth."
He simply picked up the bowl, using the spoon to stir the fish soup, then brought the soup to her lips, gently coaxing:
"Good girl~"
His voice was especially pleasant, mesmerizing her into a daze; she opened her mouth, and he fed the fish soup into her mouth.
She originally thought that drinking the soup would make her vomit, as her morning sickness was severe, unable to tolerate food... Unexpectedly, the soup tasted quite good.
His tightly furrowed dark brows relaxed a bit; seeing her eat made him happy.
Fairy.
She finally obediently complied, how lovely.
Looking at her delicate face, and her graceful curves, he gave a cheeky grin:
"..." Her cheeks suddenly flushed red, she simply snatched the bowl from his hand and drank the soup herself: "Mr. President, no need to trouble you with feeding me."
Oops, his temper flared again, was this woman really sent by heaven to oppose him? Daring to be defiant with him? Still defiant! Fine, she is, these days, she should properly nourish her body, get well-nourished, and see how he’d deal with her then!
This crucian carp soup was very fresh, without any fishy smell at all.
Moreover, after drinking it, it seemed to stimulate her appetite.
He snatched her bowl again, served her another bowl, and handed it to her: "Good, drink more."
Eva was taken aback, suddenly accepted it, feeling a bit bewildered; his sudden care and affection left her at a loss.
He didn’t eat anything himself.
He picked out two pieces of fish, fiddled around the bowl for a long time, then brought the fish meat to her mouth: "Good, open your mouth."
She obediently opened her mouth, taking in the tender crucian carp meat, chewed it, and only then discovered that all the bones had been picked out from the fish meat.
