CHAPTER 50: CHAPTER 50: YOUNG MASTER LIN STEPS INTO THE INNER HALL (2)

This silly little woman just gave him the perfect excuse. If he didn’t seize this opportunity, he would be a fool. To avoid being that fool, he must come in tonight.

With a joyful glance at the little woman beside him, he could see she was full of regret. A flash of coldness passed through his eyes, carrying a hint of cunning and calculation. Even if she regretted it now, he would allow it.

Quickly opening the car door, he got out and approached the passenger side. Lin Mubai opened the car door with a look of delight, staring at the person inside as if he didn’t notice the regret and remorse on her face. He reminded her to himself, "I just happen to be thirsty, going up for a glass of water and then going home to sleep. I have to work tomorrow."

The implied meaning was, you better hurry up, otherwise, you’ll delay my sleep tonight and work tomorrow.

At this point, An Nan could only twitch the corner of her mouth and follow him out of the car, her body stiffly leading a certain man up to her bedroom.

An Nan had bought the house only two or three years ago. The style of decoration and the arrangement of furniture were all her own doing. The overall style of the house was comfortable and romantic Mediterranean style. Before buying the house, the phrase ’facing the sea, spring blossoms’ was always in her mind, leading to the current style.

As Lin Mubai entered the room, the first feeling was that he was enveloped in a vast expanse of blue.

The living room’s ceiling and the wall facing the entrance were two huge wall paintings. The walls depicted a vast blue sea, and the ceiling a vast blue sky. The two were perfectly harmonized. Surrounding them were many decorations related to the sky and ocean. The wall opposite the sea painting was also blue, but it had a huge pastoral-style window, truly capturing the essence of ’facing the sea, with spring blossoms.’

Lin Mubai’s gaze continued to survey the living room. He found a set of large display cabinets on another wall, filled with an assortment of airplane models.

From commercial airliners to fighter jets, there was a wide variety, everything one could wish for.

The most prominent feature of the living room was the floor sofa in the center. Its design was an irregular circular shape with only one gap to enter. The sofa was adorned with many cushions. On the circular coffee table in the middle, many books and a laptop lay neatly arranged, showcasing the homeowner’s good living habits.

What pleased Lin Mubai the most was that with one sweeping glance, he saw no trace of anything belonging to a man, at least indicating that this woman was currently single.

Emotionally innocent Young Master Lin didn’t even consider that she might not have a boyfriend but could have an ambiguous relation.

An Nan followed behind Lin Mubai. Seeing this man standing at her door without entering, she became anxious: "Are you coming in or not?"

She hadn’t originally wanted to bring this man up, and now he was blocking her from entering her home, which was simply unforgivable.

Hearing the impatient voice from behind, Lin Mubai quickly stepped aside. However, because An Nan was too close to him, she bumped into his chest. With quick reflexes, he held onto her slender waist, preventing a fall.

"Are you okay?" Lin Mubai looked worriedly at the little woman in his arms.

This assistance wouldn’t have mattered, but he started not wanting to let go, finding the tactile sensation quite wonderful.
