CHAPTER 530: CHAPTER 529: I’LL TAKE THIS CHICK
Lin Mubai didn’t like pink. He always thought pink was too flashy. He once even made fun of his good friend Zhao Tianchen for being a flashy guy. His distaste was just like An Nan’s dislike for wearing skirts.
"Honey, can we discuss this and change the shirt?" Lin Mubai had a face that seemed ready for a friendly negotiation.
An Nan wasn’t interested in negotiating. She directly threw the pink shirt into his arms and used a near-commanding tone: "Stop talking nonsense and go try the shirt on."
Humph, this man was so firm when buying clothes for himself just a while ago, but now he wants to negotiate—no way.
Actually, this wasn’t the main reason. The man himself was exceptionally handsome, and she could imagine how alluring he would look in a pink shirt. So the biggest reason to make him wear this pink shirt was her anticipation, as she slightly squinted her black pupils, casting a gaze full of expectation towards the direction of the dressing room.
From time to time, she’d knock on the door and urge, "Hurry up and come out, are you procrastinating? You’re not a woman."
Inside the fitting room, Lin Mubai once again buttoned up the shirt incorrectly. His eyes were full of helplessness, but at the same time, he sped up his actions.
Just as An Nan predicted, the man really did look stunning in pink; his allure was evident from the hushed chatter around them. One couldn’t help but admit, the man’s natural elegance gave him the ability to pull off any color. Wearing white made him appear harmless; black showed off his excess charm; blue had him looking composed; as for pink, it confirmed her long-standing thought—enchantingly alluring.
An Nan stood in front of her husband, observed him, and then nodded in satisfaction, "Hmm, not bad, you’re quite the charmer."
Lin Mubai hadn’t even looked at himself in the mirror, so he didn’t know how he looked in the pink shirt. He just stood there quietly, letting his wife nitpick him, while hoping she’d have a change of heart and let him go.
"Honey, is it okay? Can I go change back?" He’s never worn such a bright pink color since he gained his own sense of style, and now standing here quietly, he still felt uncomfortable, so he thought changing back would be best.
Little did he know, just as he stepped forward, his wife’s voice halted him from behind: "Stop."
He turned his puzzled, dark eyes to the voice’s owner: "Honey, what’s wrong?"
An Nan looked at him with a playful expression, making Lin Mubai have a bad feeling deep down, then his intuition was confirmed: "You’re not allowed to change."
"Why, honey?" At this point, Lin Mubai felt like he wanted to cry without tears.
An Nan racked her brains and couldn’t think of a good answer. Just then, An Jiayou, who couldn’t stand watching anymore, chimed in: "Uncle Mu Bai, An Nan definitely thinks you look great in pink, that’s why she’s insisting." Having been mother and son for so many years, An Jiayou could tell from the flicker in his mom’s eyes that she had her own plan, so naturally, he helped out.
Hearing An Jiayou’s words, Lin Mubai quickly looked over at his wife, a surprise flashed across his alluring face: "Honey, is that true?"
If wearing pink means his wife liked it, he wouldn’t mind being flashy this once.
