Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?
Chapter 40 - 39: Water Attribute Divine Techniques Targeted by the Artifact Spirit
CHAPTER 40: CHAPTER 39: WATER ATTRIBUTE DIVINE TECHNIQUES TARGETED BY THE ARTIFACT SPIRIT
Before the ship had docked, they could already make out the figures on the deck. The clearer Mrs. Bai could see them, the more her heart broke.
Bai Junya looked at her parents on the shore, her face revealing a trace of sorrow.
Bai Jingliang arrived late. Upon seeing Father Bai and Mrs. Bai, he frowned, standing alone with some resentment, craning his neck to watch the boat.
As the ship approached the shore, Bai Jingliang waved his hand and shouted loudly, "Sister!"
Bai Junya’s eyes inexplicably turned red as she waved back at him.
Thud!
The ship gently docked, and a deck was laid down by the boatman, soon allowing two figures to slowly walk down.
"Father, Mother."
Bai Junya bowed gracefully. Bai Chong’an nodded slightly, while Lin Ruojun approached her with care and asked attentively about what had happened over the past month.
Sometimes being born into such a noble family isn’t necessarily a good thing!
Han Yu couldn’t help but sigh after Bai Jingliang left.
Isn’t this kind of thing uncommon? It probably isn’t rare, maybe today at the Bai’s, the same is happening at the Zhang’s and the Zhao’s elsewhere.
Ultimately, it’s someone else’s family matter, and Han Yu made no comment.
"Are you interested in their sister?"
The Little Artifact Spirit suddenly popped up and said.
Han Yu was taken aback and said adamantly, "How is that possible."
"Is her figure great or not?"
The Artifact Spirit asked soulfully.
"Great!"
Han Yu answered honestly.
"See, you do have impure thoughts."
Glass laughed heartily, and Han Yu rubbed his nose awkwardly, saying nothing.
Suddenly there was a commotion in the street, as if something happened up ahead. Han Yu walked over to take a look.
The crowd dispersed rapidly, revealing four magnificent horses pulling a lavish carriage approaching. A handsome, well-dressed young man sat atop it, followed by a group of sword-wielding cultivators on horseback.
What a grand display!
People around were discussing, guessing which wealthy family’s young master he might be.
"Do you think a noble family would dare ride horses in the city? Are the guardians just for show?" A knowledgeable person scoffed.
"Then which family is it?" An uninformed bystander asked.
The informed one smirked before saying, "Didn’t you see those palace guards didn’t even make a peep? It must be a young master from one of the cultivator families."
Han Yu, listening intently, thought he might be heading toward the Bai family.
"Let’s enjoy ourselves outside today, no rush to go back."
Bai Jingliang forced a smile at the two of them.
Returning home shortly after, the two women were dragged outside again by Bai Jingliang, saying it had been a while since their last visit, so they should have some fun.
Lily’s legs ached from walking all day, and she couldn’t help but roll her eyes, saying, "I’ve wandered these parts so much that I could get lost with my eyes closed!"
Bai Jingliang just laughed awkwardly.
The news came today that the Qin family’s eldest son, Qin Hao, would be visiting. Upon hearing this, Bai Jingliang immediately took the two women out the door.
Having grown up in Tianning City, and Lily having visited multiple times, they quickly grew bored of the place.
"Let’s just walk a bit longer!"
Bai Jingliang smiled, not looking particularly pleased, and Bai Junya seemed to notice something, softly asking.
"Is he coming today?"
Bai Jingliang’s expression turned somber, silently saying nothing.
Bai Junya also fell silent, while Lily, not being foolish, after realizing it, squeezed out a smile, hugging Bai Junya’s arm and forcing herself to say, "The clay figures over there were quite impressive, come with me to have another look!"
Bai Jingliang hurriedly nodded in agreement.
Bai Junya, however, remained motionless, her eyes lowered. After a moment of silence, she finally said, "Let’s go back!"
Since the matter is already settled, anything would be in vain.
In the past few days, she had come to understand clearly that she neither liked cultivating nor had the freedom not to conform, being born into a noble family.
Even if not the Qin family, in the future it could be the Zhang family, the Li family, or any noble family as her destination.
She had always thought of herself as mature, but later realized that it was just her self-delusion.
"It’s all your fault, can’t even pick a good place."
Lily complained as she glared at Bai Jingliang angrily.
The three, feeling somewhat dispirited, were ready to head back.
"Hey! Isn’t that... the weird Pharmacist."
Lily suddenly pointed at the person ahead. Ever since the Star Sect incident, she had upgraded Han Yu from the title of bad Pharmacist to strange Pharmacist in her eyes.
As Han Yu walked toward them, he was somewhat surprised at how he kept running into people with the surname Bai recently.
His gaze involuntarily flicked toward Bai Junya, who was as stunning as ever. Her current appearance filled with tiredness only added to her charm, growing even more enchanting...
Perhaps lost in thought, his brazen gaze turned Bai Junya’s face bright red.
"Fancy meeting you here!"
Han Yu only then snapped out of it, awkwardly retracting his gaze with a smile.
"Young Master Han!"
"Pharmacist."
The two women greeted him simultaneously, revealing the difference: Bai Junya bowed gracefully, soft and polite, while Lily simply rested her hands on her hips and waved.
"Han Yu, that girl has Water Attribute Divine Techniques."
The Little Artifact Spirit suddenly became active in his mind.
Han Yu was surprised and sneaked a glance at Lily, truly a case of never judging a book by its cover; her potential was impressive!
"No, it’s the one with the alluring hourglass figure that made your heart race, her Water Attribute Divine Technique is superb!"
The Little Artifact Spirit reminded angrily.
This was even more extraordinary than Lily possessing a divine technique.
Someone who disliked cultivation, yet possessed a single attribute spirit root and innate divine techniques, it was like they were being force-fed by heaven itself.
"She hasn’t cultivated enough to activate it, so no one has noticed yet. Since you’ve come across her, why not offer her a pill!" The Little Artifact Spirit urged.
Han Yu’s expression turned strange. This Little Artifact Spirit had never shown such interest without cause; Bai Junya might indeed be a prodigious talent.
Watching him suddenly appear dazed, Bai Jingliang curiously waved a hand in front of his face, asking, "Han Yu, what’s wrong?"
Han Yu snapped back, his mind echoing with the Little Artifact Spirit’s words, "Refine the pill, refine the pill, I want the pill..."
"Nothing, just remembered something else."
Han Yu laughed awkwardly, looking at them, "How about we find a place to sit?"
Bai Jingliang was naturally willing, as he also didn’t want to go back so soon.
They went to the teahouse from the day before. Once seated, Lily excitedly said, "I thought you might have fled to the ends of the earth! My master said the Sect Leader grits his teeth about you, wishing to swallow you whole."
"Your master doesn’t want to eat me too, does he?"
Han Yu was more curious about that old rogue of a cultivator.
Lily’s energy deflated at the mention of the old cultivator, "You made him punish himself by meditating in confinement for a year."
Han Yu’s spirits lifted instantly, the old rogue deserved that, especially after spoiling his plans before.
Then looking at the two silent individuals, he began to realize his guesses. It seemed that young man was indeed after Bai Junya.
"Let me tell you, if this girl activates her divine technique, she might not have to get married!"
The Little Artifact Spirit continued to chatter away.
Han Yu helplessly asked in his mind, "What are you trying to gain from her?"
"I want half of her Divine Power Origin, then I’ll share a tiny bit with you, and you’ll have Water Series Divine Techniques too!"
The Little Artifact Spirit chirped excitedly.
This tempted Han Yu, though he hesitated.
"She’ll definitely need it. If she shows enough value, perhaps her family won’t force her to marry."
Han Yu hesitated, wondering if taking half of the origin wouldn’t cause problems?
"And you said you weren’t interested in her; have you ever shown this much consideration when giving pills to others?"
The Little Artifact Spirit laughed mockingly, then continued, "It won’t harm her, the pill would prematurely activate her divine technique. I take half of her origin, and she can recover it in ten years."
That seems feasible.
Looking at Bai Junya, Han Yu hesitated for a moment, then opened his mouth slowly.
"Miss Bai, I have an option for you."
