CHAPTER 623: CHAPTER 418: HAVIER’S MOBILE FORTRESS (PART 2)
But upon closer inspection, he was completely afraid to take any attack from the Big Dragon Tooth, and could only look for opportunities to dodge back and forth.
And when his attacks hit the Havier Warrior, there was no sign of any injury at all!
Matilda had to take down the Snake-man before her captain was killed. She transformed the Hell’s March into a long spear and threw it, piercing right through the Snake-man.
Then, with a big stride, she rushed to the Snake-man’s front and twisted its head off with her bare hands.
"Solved!"
Matilda was just about to turn around and give a thumbs up when she saw the scene of Fingerley being mercilessly struck down to the ground by the Big Dragon Tooth.
Blood exploded like a water balloon filled with water, creating a very impactful scene at the site.
A drop of blood even splashed onto Matilda’s face.
"Eh?"
The Havier Warrior then charged towards Aleya, and Selene bravely stepped forward to cast Chaotic Magic at the enemy.
She was then struck with a rod, flying backward like a broken sack.
It seems not everyone knows how to use magic, huh?
Aleya threw all her attack methods over; the Softening Potion was effective but only lasted for a fleeting moment. She hurled a bunch of magic over, but aside from turning the Havier Armor into a battle-worn version, it wasn’t very effective!
Although it’s unclear what the inside of the armor is like, perhaps the Havier Warrior was also hurt, but just the appearance alone was intimidating enough!
Aleya decisively chose the Golden Cicada Shell strategy, using the same method to restrain the Ancient Flying Dragon to block the Havier Warrior.
This seemed to have some effect, but how to hit was still a problem; this thing couldn’t be broken through!
Seeing the Havier Warrior breaking free from the hay and rushing toward her menacingly, even the ever-calm Matilda couldn’t help but break into a cold sweat.
At this moment, Fingerley’s voice came.
"Run this way!"
Since the bonfire was right next to the second-floor room, Fingerley, upon coming back to life, ran back immediately, with Selene over his shoulder.
He figured it out—since they couldn’t match the Havier Warrior, a heavy armor monster, head-on, they simply had to run.
If I can’t win, can’t I at least hide?
Aleya threw several slime fruits towards the enemy, then jumped onto Matilda’s shoulder without looking at the results, as everyone ran towards the other exit.
Looking back, the Havier Warrior was entangled in the slime, struggling fiercely. One could tell—a glance told—once it broke free, it would definitely come back to pummel everyone.
"Usually, when the Summoner dies, don’t the Summoned Creatures disappear?" Selene was jostled and almost vomited.
"Is this a place where common sense applies?"
Amid their squabbling, the heavy footsteps sounded right behind them—the Havier Warrior was coming!
Like a moving castle!
Ignoring the chat, they relied on a speed slightly faster than the enemy’s to maneuver around it, while simultaneously looking for an opportunity to see if they could use the terrain to kill the enemy.
Ancient Dragon Peak undoubtedly lived up to its reputation as a treacherous mountain; there were dangerous cliffs everywhere, and a large number of Snake-men hiding in nooks and crannies waiting to ambush.
Fingerley tried blowing up the mountain path, tried redirecting the enemy’s attention, tried playing hide and seek...
But no matter what method, the Havier Warrior relentlessly pursued them like a haunting spirit.
The urgent feeling left them with no time to appreciate the scenery along the way—when in fact, the views at the top of the Ancient Dragon were quite nice.
Meanwhile, just as they were running up a single path, a Dragon Roar descended from the sky, accompanied by scorching flames with it.
What attacked them was a Flying Dragon, slightly smaller than the Ancient Flying Dragon!
"There really are other Flying Dragons!"
Thankfully, Aleya’s magic power was still sufficient. In an instant, she generated a large amount of fire-prevention plants, combined with Hell’s March to form a Protective Shield, and Fingerley released a Magic Power Shield; the triple protection perfectly resisted the Dragon Breath.
And the Havier Warrior behind them could only take it head-on.
Fingerley turned his head to look and suddenly widened his eyes.
He saw the Havier Warrior sitting down on the ground after being hit by the Dragon Breath! It was the first time he saw the opponent react to an attack.
"We can use the Flying Dragon to take him down!"
With this declaration, they immediately set about acting, trying to hover on this narrow road, using the Dragon Breath to take down the Havier Warrior.
However, unexpectedly, after spewing flames once, the Flying Dragon actually landed on the ground, attacking them with its sharp claws and teeth.
Fingerley suddenly thought of something and patted Selene’s shoulder, saying, "Remember the bouquet you prepared for Ornstein? It’s time to bring it out!"
Selene suddenly realized and immediately pulled out that large bouquet made up of Charming Branches and handed it to Fingerley, who bravely faced the attacks and inserted the Charming Branches into the Flying Dragon!
The large dose of Charming Branches finally took effect, and the Flying Dragon immediately tangled with the Havier Warrior, giving them a moment to catch their breath.
"What’s the deal with this guy; is he also pursuing the Ancient Dragon Path?"
"Already this strong, is there really any need to acquire the dragon’s power?"
"Discussing this is pointless; we should take advantage of their fight to handle him in one go, though his armor is sturdy, the insides might not be as strong, should we try using powerful penetration magic... or how about poison?"
In the midst of their discussion, the sound of something heavy hitting the ground was heard from the side.
Turning their heads, they saw the Big Dragon Tooth in the hands of the Havier Warrior smash heavily onto the Flying Dragon’s head, knocking it down, never to rise again.
"..."
Fingerley looked at that Dragon Tooth, almost as large as the Flying Dragon’s head, suddenly realizing that the Havier Warrior must have obtained such a thing not from some remains but likely from hunting a dragon himself!
"This place is unsuitable for battle; we need to move to another location!"
Saying this, Fingerley got up to run, with the others following suit.
Suddenly, a towering peak appeared in front of them, with a ladder connecting to the top. He had a bright idea, they could all climb up, and when the Havier Warrior was halfway, they’d cut the rope to drop him to his death!
With this thought, they immediately acted.
Fingerley was the first to reach the top, urging everyone to keep climbing when a flicker from the corner of his eye caught his attention.
At the top of the peak, the path forward was completely gone; it was a dead end.
Sitting quietly at the top of the mountain lay a Flying Dragon!
Fingerley’s eyelids began to twitch, but upon closer inspection, this Flying Dragon was not sleeping; it was dead, having been smashed in multiple spots by massive force!
So it was dead, which was a relief.
Just those scars seemed a bit familiar...
Footsteps sounded, and from behind the Flying Dragon emerged a figure that made his eyelid twitch violently.
Another Havier Warrior!
