    Sebastian calmly exined, “The trial is imminent, andtely, public opinion online hasn’t been kind to Easnd Entertainment. If Hamlin resorts to desperate measures, I’m concerned for your safety.”

    Vivian snorted coldly. She strode over to Brian, grabbed him by the cor with one hand, and unceremoniously scooped him up from the bground/b.

    Ever since Brian started school, this was the first time he’d been treated this way. Sebastian almost always talked to him as if he were ban /bbadult/b, and since he was mature for his age, he would normally refuse being treated like a child.

    But this time, he was simply caught off guard.

    Vivian tucked Brian under her arm with one hand, arched a brow at Sebastian, and said, “Rx. My daughter and I are both gold medalists. Besidesb, /bwith Hathnd’s strict gun controlws, nothing will happen to them with us around.”

    With that, she walked over to Sebastian and gave him a firm pat on the shoulder. “Instead of worrying about us, you’d better hire ba /bcouple of bodyguards for yourself. We’ve got Maxine’s safety covered.”

    Only then did Brian snap out of his daze, squirming to break free.

    Under Sebastian’s astonished gaze, Vivian readily put Brian down. “Alright, if there’s nothing else, you can go back now.”

    After she finished speaking, she took Jessica and headed upstairs to rest, only to find that everyone else remained motionless.

    Vivian frowned in exasperation and red at Sebastian. “What? You actually want to crash here tonight?”

    The moment the words left her mouth, Brian looked up at Maxine with puppy–dog eyes. “Mom,” he pleaded softly, “can Dad and I spend the night hereb?/bb” /b

    “You!” Vivian snapped, exasperated. “Aren’t you two pushing your luck a bit?”

    Sebastian turned to Maxine and said, “It’s gettingte, Brian really needs bto /brest. If it’s alright with youb, /bcould we just stay here for the night? I promise bwe /b

    won’t be any trouble.”

    Maxine nced at the clock, it was already past 11 p.m. Driving thiste at night wasn’t safe. She couldn’t help but sigh in resignation. “Alright, just for tonight. You two behave yourselves and stay in the guest room. Don’t disturb anyone else,” she said.

    Hearing her give in, the others all had their own reactions.

    Brian could barely keep himself from cheering and jumping up on the spot. Sebastian suppressed his excitement, ba /bsmall smile tugging at his lips bas /bhe said, “Alright, don’t worry. We’ll be quiet.”

    Vivian gasped in disbelief, “Why?”

    Just then, Lisa, standing upstairs, finally spoke up. “Momb, /bcan you please stay out of their business for once?”

    Muttering under her breath, she added, “Besides, they already have a kid together. Don’t forget, you’re divorced yourself, bsince /bwhen did byou /bbbe /bban /bexpert at giving rtionship advice?”

    Vivian snapped, flexing her wrist irritably. “You’d better think twice before you speak.”

    Seeing her like that, unpleasant memories shing through her mindb, /bbLisa /bshuddered. Forcing an awkward smile at bMaxine/bb, /bbshe /bbsaid/b, b“/bbNever /bbmind/bb, /bbyou /bguys carry on. I just remembered I’ve got something to take care of.”

    She nced at Vivian bagain /band said, “If you need anything, just let me know. I’ll do whatever bI /bcanb!/b”
