That evening, Maxine was taken out by Lisa.

Lisa had spent quite some time online before finally settling on this location.

Maxine said, “You… this is where you wanted to bring me?”

Maxine looked down slightly, her mouth twitching as she stared at the clubhouse in front of them, her expression caught between amusement and disbelief.

Lisa nodded proudly. “I saw it online. There are tons of handsome guys in here, all kinds. Every single one is better than Mr. Breakfast!”

    Maxine was amused by her.

She remarked, “I thought you were starting to ept him. You don’t seem to hate him anymore.”

Lisa rolled her eyes. “Isn’t there a saying? There is no such thing as a free lunch. He needs to put in more effort.”

Maxine couldn’t help butugh. She was about to suggest they skip it and just go home and rest. But Lisa had already dragged her inside.

The lighting was warm and ovepping, the interior lively but not chaotic like a bar.

Even though there were women around, the vibe was casual and normal, like they were just friends orpanions.

Lisa, who had been to plenty of bars abroad, was surprised by the atmosphere.

“I thought this ce would be… messier.” Though she spoke softly, a nearby attendant still caught her words.

He chuckled and patiently exined, “All venues under Mr. Yves’s name are like this. Peoplee here just to rx.”

If they really wanted something more, they could turn right out the door and head to the hotel.

Maxine felt the name “Mr. Yves” sounded oddly familiar, but she couldn’t ce it at the moment. She didn’t ask further and just followed Lisa up to the second floor.

Inside the private room on the second floor, Lisa dramatically ordered eight male models.

Each had a distinct charm, and none was any less attractive than Sebastian.

The only difference was their background, which Lisa didn’t care about. She believed even a fleeting romance was better than being emotionally tormented by someone like Sebastian.

She’d heard what Maxine had been through and was furious on her behalf. No way would she let Maxine walk back into that emotional graveyard.

Maxine said, “This might not be appropriate…”

Maxine rubbed her temples. Lisa was great in every way, except she was far too energetic. She almostughed earlier when Lisa, using broken Hathndian, ordered the male models. The attendant probably thought their club was so famous it had even attracted foreign women.

Lisa said, “What’s not appropriate? There are millions of men out there. Don’t get stuck on one tree Maxine if it bware /bbma /bwouldn’t give up my child. I’d just spend more time with them. But I sure as hell wouldn’t keep the man

Lisa poured herself a drink and raised her ss toward Maxine. “I hope you find a new life, not fall back into the same old bpit/bbi, /i/bbiOr /i/bcourse, that’s just my opinion. I’ll respect whatever you choose.”

Maxine knew Lisa truly cared for her.

She sat quietly on the sofa, her gaze shadowed and unreadable. The warm, yellow lighting overhead softened her features, making her beauty even more striking. Just sitting there, she was captivating.

    Her thoughts slowly cleared.

‘Yes. Why should I jump back into the fire?‘ She didn’t want to repeat the past.

Just then, the door opened. Still deep in her own thoughts, Maxine didn’t inotice /iLisa’s expression shift dramatically.

She remarked, “Oh my god… are all Hathndian male models this… attractive? This guy alone is worth more than the other eightbined!”

Broad shoulders and a muscr frame, his suit jacket draped casually over one arm. His hairstyle gave him a rebellious edge, and that wicked smile made it impossible to look away.

Lisa couldn’t believe that was such a perfect male model.

Lisa was about to speak when the man walked straight toward Maxine. Even she, as carefree as she was, realized something wasn’t right.

Before she could say anything, the man sat directly in front of Maxine, just as she snapped out of her thoughts and looked up in surprise.

“Ms. Hudson, we meet again,” the man said.
