CHAPTER 200: 100 FIRST LEVEL WITCHCRAFT - FEAR AURA (PLEASE BOOKMARK)_4
His figure flickered. He didn’t head to the City Lord’s mansion but went directly to his own residence.
Screams and wails echoed everywhere. The area around his residence was no exception.
"HUMPH!"
Going to find the City Lord? If the City Lord could have repelled the sea people, he would have already taken action. By now, the City Lord’s mansion has probably already been breached. Freedom Port is finished. I should leave now and find another way out. Staying here is just waiting for death.
His thoughts raced as he leaped into the backyard, casually killing a few sea people who didn’t know any better.
"FHWEEE!"
He took a whistle from his pocket and blew it. Before long, guards hidden in the yard appeared, with Little Moli in her red warrior attire protected in the center by the others.
They looked panicked, but upon seeing Baird, they seemed to find their backbone, their eyes focusing with determination.
"Father!"
"Hmm." Baird nodded at his daughter and said, "Quickly pack up. We’re leaving Freedom Port."
"Ah!" Little Moli turned pale and asked, "Is the situation that bad?"
Leaving Freedom Port meant giving up the relationships and wealth accumulated over decades.
"The Sea God Society and the Dragon King Chamber of Commerce—their headquarters have been overrun by those monsters. The Sickle Brotherhood as well," Baird said, waving his hand. "Time is short. Don’t ask so many questions. Quickly take what you can, and let’s go."
"...Yes." Little Moli complied, turning and running towards the warehouse under the guards’ protection.
Watching the group’s retreating figures, Baird stroked his chin, then leaped towards a corner of the courtyard.
An inconspicuous room stood there, looking like a storeroom. Located in the backyard, it was rarely visited, and wild grass grew all around it.
"CREAK..."
Pushing open the door, Baird looked around to make sure no one was there, then slipped into the room. He knocked on certain bricks in the wall in a specific pattern, and a thick section of the floorboard suddenly flipped up, revealing several wooden boxes beneath.
Seeing this, a smile appeared on Baird’s face. With these items, even if he had to leave Freedom Port, he could still live a comfortable life.
"TSK TSK..."
Just then, a soft TSK came from the doorway as a burly figure blocked the entrance. "No wonder I couldn’t find anything after searching for so long. So you hid all the good stuff here?"
"You..." Baird turned around sharply, his eyes narrowing. "Carl!"
"That’s right." Carl nodded, slowly drawing his broad sword from his waist. "Second Elder Baird, I believe this is the first time we’ve met alone, isn’t it? What a pity!"
"HUMMM..."
Before Carl finished speaking, a flash of light appeared before his eyes as Baird quickly drew his sword and thrust fiercely.
As the Second Elder of the Sickle Brotherhood, his strength was by no means weak; he was not far from a peak Great Knight. Very few could evade such an unexpected burst. Unfortunately, he was facing Carl.

Zero-Circle Magic—Gravitational Distortion!
Demonized Item—Gravity Manipulation!
Below, a whirlpool of water manifested, tugging at Baird’s legs and pulling him toward the ground. The multitude of witchcraft spells reduced his speed by a significant seventy percent.
"SWOOSH!"
Carl struck with his sword. The sword light flashed, sweeping past his opponent’s neck in an instant. By the time Carl stopped, the body behind him was decapitated. A Great Knight was now almost no match for him.
He found a pack and gathered the items from the floor. Just as he was leaving the backyard, he saw a group rushing toward him.
"It’s you!" The red-clad young woman, Moli, widened her eyes and waved her hand, ordering, "Kill him!"
"Heh..." Carl chuckled softly. His figure dashed forward, his broad sword slashing about, and several of the attackers fell dead on the spot.
Moli’s face changed drastically. She turned to flee, only to have a bloodied sword blade suddenly protrude from her chest.
She opened her mouth as if to say something, but her body had already turned to stone under the effect of the broad sword.
"BANG!"
Carl shook his wrist, and the stone statue shattered.
...
The mist was thick. Shadows flitted through it as hundreds of thousands of sea people scattered throughout Freedom Port. Even the three great powers could not withstand them, let alone everyone else, who were like lambs to the slaughter.
Suddenly, the ground in front trembled violently. Dust billowed, and the ensuing gusts of wind picked up planks and stones alike. Carl raised a hand to shield his eyes from the dust, squinting toward what lay ahead.
Before his eyes was a seventeen- or eighteen-meter-tall giant toad covered in huge pustules. As the pustules trembled, a clearly poisonous liquid shot out from them. Where the poison landed, the ground was instantly corroded, creating a vast chasm—the effect on human flesh was not hard to imagine.
Its tongue was astoundingly fast. With a single opening of its mouth, the ground tens of meters away would crack open. The afterimages of its tongue strikes were almost beyond the reaction speed of a Great Knight.
A Legendary Creature! However, this Legendary Creature was in poor condition, with many cuts on its body and one of its legs broken.
The one battling it was an armored man wielding a trident. Streams of water converged under his feet and exploded. Propelled by the currents, the man quickly approached the toad and launched his attack.
Sea God Hawke!
Indeed, the top expert under the Lord of Sodan can actually fight a Legendary Creature on his own. Carl marveled inwardly but noticed that the man’s advantage wasn’t significant; he was even at a slight disadvantage. His eyes narrowed.
He gripped his broad sword tightly, stepped forward, and shouted, "President Hawke, I’ll help you!"
Secret Skill—Giantification!
"BOOM!"
A giant, over five meters tall, appeared in the fray, wielding two giant swords, each over three meters long, as he charged in.
