CHAPTER 359: 143 POWER AND BLOOD PILL (PLEASE COLLECT)
The reforged Magic Flying Carpet, though carrying two people, now moved much faster than before.
It shot across the sky like an arrow loosed from a bowstring, streaking directly towards the depths of the Endless Sea Domain.
A gale lashed at them, but under the influence of the Magic Flying Carpet’s force field, it softened into a gentle breeze that merely brushed their long hair.
The scent of the sea.
Yana stretched out her hand, touching the sea breeze, and murmured, "So nice."
Desecration Knights didn’t live long. She was no longer young, and the impact of her Bloodline was growing ever more severe. Sometimes, it felt as if she had merely dozed off for a moment, but in reality, an entire day had passed, and her hair had grown even whiter.
It felt as though something was about to burst from her back.
She could only soothe her fear and unease about death with devout faith; no one else could help her with this.
"We’ve arrived!"
Carl looked down towards the sea’s surface.
Amidst the undulating waves, an unremarkable island came into view, with several ant-sized boats sailing around it. As they approached, the boats gradually grew larger; the largest, a warship, was impressively over a hundred meters long.
The Entulace! The Ship of Return.
It was Jiliu City’s largest and fastest warship. Its hull was crafted from wood with an affinity for the wind element and was equipped with powerful onboard systems.
On the sea, this Ship of Return could hunt Legendary Creatures!
Several other vessels—Kirk ships primarily used for cargo and smaller warships—hovered around the Entulace.
SWISH!
The Magic Flying Carpet folded in mid-air and landed on the deck of the Entulace.
Ayala, Conni, and others were already waiting there.
"Just ahead is Crocodile Island."
After the group exchanged greetings, Conni pointed to the island ahead and explained, "This island was discovered by the Dragon King Chamber of Commerce decades ago. It harbors two Legendary Creatures similar to crocodiles, hence the name Crocodile Island. Unlike other Legendary Creatures, these two crocodiles can Devour the souls of creatures near the island. A ship once sailed too close, resulting in the deaths of its entire crew."
Devouring souls! Possessing this trait, they likely have an Abyssal Bloodline.
Carl nodded in satisfaction. The Magic Door of Blood Refining automatically presented itself in his mind.
His integrated Bloodline was from the Abyss; for Blood Refining, using a similar Bloodline yielded the best results.
He didn’t plan to act personally, at least not while other options existed, to avoid unnecessary risks.
"The Legendary Creatures of Crocodile Island Devour not only souls but also flesh," Ayala explained their plan. "We plan to send several poisoned yellow goats to the island. If they eat them, they might be poisoned to death!"
Poison... Carl frowned. "Is there no other way?"
The accumulation of toxins would make the corpses unusable for Blood Refining, and Abyss Creatures have high resistance to poisons. It would likely be ineffective and might instead provoke the targets.
Ayala pondered for a moment. Another way? Then she said, "The Sea God Guild once extracted a substance from a type of seaweed that induces sleep. A few drops could make a black bear fall into a deep slumber. How about putting them to sleep?"
"We can try that," Carl nodded. "Be careful."
"Uncle, don’t worry. We’ve prepared many Potions to stabilize souls," Ayala said with a smile. "If it really comes down to it, a direct confrontation isn’t out of the question."
She waved her hand, issuing commands. "Switch the poison to Heisis, the sleep-inducing agent. Be careful not to get it on any wounds, or the goats will fall asleep first. Send ten to the island!"
A simple bamboo raft carrying ten plump, BAAING yellow goats soon approached the island. Thanks to a favorable wind, the raft quickly reached the shore. The goats, freed from their restraints, leaped onto the island.
They’re here!
Surprisingly, it wasn’t Carl but Desecration Knight Yana who first noticed the anomaly. As the Bloodline within her gradually awakened, more and more unique abilities manifested. Enhanced perception was one of them.
Two cold, ferocious presences surged from the island’s center, rushing towards the scattered goats.
The observer on the ship, monitoring a device that tracked the goats’ vitality, exclaimed in surprise as the numbers dwindled, "Four gone... now five... six... So fast!"
The goats were swift, exceptionally so, with sharp reflexes, making them difficult prey. Moreover, they were scattered across the island. For them to be dispatched so quickly indicated the hunters’ incredible speed.
"Send another ten!" Ayala’s expression was grim. "Ships, retreat in an orderly fashion! Maintain formation!"
"Yes!"
"Bamboo raft!"
"Release the goats!"
"Quickly!"
...
The plan proceeded smoothly. Another ten goats were released, and the ships continued their slow retreat.
Carl looked at Ayala, a flash of astonishment in his eyes.
What had he missed these past few years? The little girl who once hawked goods at the market to survive had matured to this extent. Conni, the Legendary captain of the Endless Sea Domain, had even entrusted command to her, showing no displeasure.
Ayala said, her voice tinged with concern, "We only have so much Heisis on board. If this doesn’t work... we might have to resort to a direct assault."
"No need," Carl shook his head. "They’ve already realized something is wrong."
ROAR!
He hadn’t even finished speaking when a deafening roar erupted from the island. The sound waves transformed into a Gale that swept across the surrounding sea. The waves churned, and the ships bobbed with them.
Very strong! Yana’s face turned solemn. "They are not ordinary Legendary Creatures."
Carl wasn’t surprised by this at all.
The Chamber of Commerce at Freedom Port could hunt Legendary Creatures. Their decision to leave these ones alone certainly wasn’t out of kindness.
