CHAPTER 362: 143 POWER AND BLOOD PILL (PLEASE COLLECT)_4
Promotion to an Official Wizard has a strict requirement for spiritual power, but it seems there isn’t one for becoming a Second Circle Wizard?
Bloodline Wizards focus on Bloodline fusion and Constitution, and their demand for spiritual power is weaker. Isn’t this an unconventional Knight Path?
Carl stroked his chin.
After reaching the Legendary Realm on the Knight Path, is there no further progression?
It seemed there was, but he wasn’t optimistic about it.
Currently, there are three known cultivation paths. Wizardry. The Knight Path. Priests.
Priests could also be called the path of faith, the one he had the least contact with.
In both worlds, the Knight Path relied on the Divine, and what the Divine truly promoted was the path of faith.
Because the path of faith cannot exist without the Divine, while Knights, though they value devotion, ultimately attribute their power to themselves, which naturally invites suppression.
The Divine allow the Knight Path to exist because war is unavoidable, but They certainly have a warning line.
The strength of Knights must not exceed that warning line.
「...」
"Carl." Wizard Burn stood up to pour a drink. "Why are you always distracted?"
"Oh!" Carl snapped back to reality. "Sorry, I was thinking about some cultivation problems."
"Even when out drinking, you’re thinking about cultivation. No wonder you became an Official Wizard so young." Inid lifted her cup. "Try this. This is Dwarven Lambas wine, brewed from special rice. It’s uniquely flavorful."
Carl lifted his cup. He first took a sip, then his eyes lit up, and he began guzzling it down.
"Good wine!"
"I knew you would like it," Inid smiled. "But drinking it like this is a bit of a waste."
"Wizard Inid, you have quite an understanding of wine?" Carl looked at her. "That’s rare."
Not many Wizards enjoy drinking, as they dislike anything that makes them lose their senses. Alcohol is one of those things. Female Wizards who enjoy drinking are even fewer.
"I’ve liked it since I was young." Inid held her cup, a distant look in her eyes. "Later, I never thought about quitting."
"Having a hobby is actually quite nice," Wizard Burn interjected. "Constant cultivation and studying knowledge only make a person boring, and it’s not good for one’s progress either."
The three of them had somehow formed a small circle.
Inid from the Nelson family, though a Wizard, was timid and skilled at weaving Magic Items. Wizard Burn was an independent cultivator managing a shop in the market. Both had become Wizards many years ago. However, their Cultivation had progressed slowly, and they had now given up on advancing further. Instead, they began to focus on building connections. Carl, being a disciple of the Six Rings Tower and living nearby, naturally became a target for their ingratiation.
"The dangers around the outskirts of the market still haven’t been cleared, and business is tough," Wizard Burn said. "I’ve heard that the three major families are planning to forcibly conscript Wizards from the market to clear out the remnants of the beast tide?"
"Has the news already spread?" Inid was surprised, then nodded. "There is such talk."
"The Second Circle Wizard from the Andrew family won’t stay here forever. He hopes the market will return to calm as soon as possible. Who wouldn’t want that?"
The Andrew family controlled more than just this one market.
"Carl," Burn spoke up. "If we’re really conscripted to clear the beast tide, do you want to go together?"
"This..." Carl frowned. "I might join the disciples from the Tower, but I hope I won’t be conscripted. After all, I’ve only just become an Official Wizard and haven’t truly mastered One-Circle Witchcraft yet," he said, a bitter smile on his face.
"Oh, right!" He recalled something and asked, "Wizard Inid, I’ve recently been planning to learn the Flying Skill. Do you have any knowledge to recommend?"
Inid was skilled at weaving Magic Items, especially Magic Flying Carpets, which were a unique specialty of the market. The witchcraft replicated on the Magic Flying Carpets was the Flying Skill.
"No need for such trouble," Inid laughed. "You can come directly to me with any questions. As for the fee... I can give you a half-price discount."
After all, she was an Official Wizard. Even if she were currying favor, it wouldn’t be too obvious; a fee would still be charged.
"That’s great!" Carl stood up to express his gratitude. "I’m afraid I’ll be troubling you often in the future."
"You’re too kind, Carl," Inid waved her hand. "We’re friends; helping each other is only natural."
"Huh... Isn’t that person down there from your shop?"
Carl turned his head and saw Lance sneaking towards the market’s outskirts, his brow furrowing.
What was he up to?
