Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds
Chapter 506 - 13 Kill Barn
CHAPTER 506: 13 KILL BARN
’Mr. Du’ was naturally Carl.
Killing the core bloodline disciples of the Green family had far more serious consequences than provoking the Six Rings Tower. After all, the Six Rings Tower was rife with internal factions and wouldn’t go to great lengths to avenge just one person.
The Green family was different.
Vengeance was their style.
To escape, Carl definitely had to visit Barrier Master Mick to see if he could solve the troubles plaguing him. He hadn’t expected to run into Barn, who had also sought Mick out and, moreover, seemed to have seen through his disguise.
Since that was the case, he simply took action!
Pseudo Third-tier witchcraft—Fear Aura!
The Talent Ability of the Abyss Giant Squid instantly enveloped the entire area, and countless tentacles shot out rapidly.
At the same time, Ten Thousand Buddha Hands—Fu Hu Seal!
The Ten Thousand Buddha Hands from the Thousand Hand Realm unleashed a force sixteen times that of a normal attack, bombarding Barn.
Although Mick was not the target of the attack, merely being caught in the periphery plunged his consciousness into chaos.
Barn, on the other hand, faced the Fear Aura, yet his expression remained unchanged. His eyes suddenly grew profound, and a Black Hole manifested behind him. From the depths of the Black Hole, something terrifying seemed to lurk within, and it suddenly thrust out its ’body’.
Third-tier witchcraft—Night Tyrant!
The Night Tyrant, that dwelled in the dark world, possessed an almost indestructible physique and an insatiable urge to devour all living things.
BOOM!
A furious shockwave, with the two at its epicenter, swept out in all directions. The sturdy houses instantly disintegrated, the resulting gale shredding everything like countless blades.
In an instant, the entire manor was filled with screams.
Carl’s extended tentacles, just as they were about to reach Barn, were torn asunder by a ferocious, immense power.
SNAP!
Dozens of tentacles burst simultaneously.
The palm imprint manifested by the Ten Thousand Buddha Hands clashed with Barn’s attack but failed to gain any advantage and was instead forced back a step.
Carl’s heart pounded, his eyes narrowing. "You haven’t truly become a Three-Circle Wizard yet!"
The strength the other party revealed was indeed extremely terrifying, and the might of his witchcraft was unlike anything Carl had ever witnessed. But it lacked the Power of Laws a Three-Circle Wizard ought to possess.
"Correct." Barn’s voice, wrapped in darkness, was cold. "Because of Badden’s affairs, I was forced to emerge prematurely, my work unfinished. But it’s more than enough to deal with you."
Tentacles! Ten Thousand Buddha Hands! How could he not recognize such obvious signatures?
"Hmph!" Carl snorted softly, a Treasure Bead already appearing in his palm.
Pseudo Fourth-tier Inheritance Witchcraft—Dream Bead!
WHOOSH...
A fierce wind suddenly whipped up on the field; dense fog billowed out from within the Treasure Bead, instantly covering the entire manor. The Third-tier Power of Laws manifested with it.
The amorphous Night Tyrant was clearly repulsed by this power, screeching as it retreated into the abyssal darkness.
THUD!
In front of Barn appeared a Magic Wand, roughly two meters tall, which slammed heavily onto the ground with a dull thud.
The next instant, countless rays of light erupted from the Magic Wand, interweaving to form a grand array, rivaling the Dream Bead, their respective Powers of Laws neutralizing each other.
Third-tier Inheritance Witchcraft—Moonlight Wand!
At the same time, Magic Realm!
With the augmentation from the Magic Realm, Barn’s strength, for a time, was comparable to that of a Three-Circle Wizard.
However, he also spotted what was behind Carl. His eyes narrowed, his expression turning grave.
A Wizard Tower!
Unlike others, Carl’s Wizard Tower was stored within a Divine Domain Fragment, allowing him to summon it at any time to augment his power.
The two men acted simultaneously.
Three-rings Witchcraft—Shattering Ice Thousand Ridges!
Three-rings Witchcraft—Dark Touch!
One leveraging the Magic Realm, the other the Wizard Tower, both unleashed Three-rings Witchcraft in a devastating clash.
In an instant, the entire manor was instantaneously reduced to ashes.
Barrier Master Mick screamed, various spiritual radiances flickered across his body, his flesh and bones dissolving at a rate visible to the naked eye. He was merely a First Circle Wizard. To survive a direct confrontation of Three-rings Witchcraft at such close range without instant death was solely due to the protection of the Barriers he wore.
Evil God’s Eye!
Dark Magic Bullet!
...
The manor grounds instantly became a battlefield of clashing witchcraft. Roiling Elemental Particles warped space into a multicolored aurora, and its terrifying aura caused all creatures within a radius of hundreds of miles to tremble in fear.
"What is that?" A wizard deep in secluded cultivation emerged from his cave, fear in his eyes as he gazed towards the manor, before hastily taking to the air and fleeing.
"Three-Circle Wizards are fighting!" In a nearby temporary encampment, an Official Wizard roared, "Hurry, let’s leave! Go far away!"
Before his words faded, the ground suddenly trembled violently, a deep rumbling resonating from the depths of the earth.
Earth Vein Upheaval!
In an instant, everyone in the encampment turned pale.
***
Barn eyed Carl, a hint of surprise in his gaze. "Who would have thought you’d be so strong? No wonder you could kill Badden. Judging by your vibrant life force, you must be less than a hundred years old. Had you not met an untimely end, you would surely have become a Three-Circle Wizard, perhaps even with a chance to assail the Fourth Circle. Too bad! This is where it ends!"
Although Carl was strong, his Wizard Cultivation was, after all, only at the Second Circle Early Stage. Even though he could cast some Three-rings Witchcraft with the help of his Wizard Tower, his insufficient foundation meant he could only cast them a limited number of times, far fewer than Barn.
Besides...
SWOOSH!
A Seal appeared in Barn’s hand.
Pseudo Fourth-tier Seal—Gate of Darkness!
Carl stepped back as twelve colossal pillars materialized around him, intercepting the opponent’s assault.
"Eh?" Barn’s tone held surprise. "It’s actually a Fourth-tier Inheritance Witchcraft!"
Even he, an outstanding disciple among the core bloodline of the Green family, did not possess such an item.
"Haha..." After his surprise, Barn laughed ecstatically. "Once I kill you, all these things will be mine! With this item, I will shine brilliantly in the clan competition decades hence. Conni! I should thank you!"
He saw clearly that although Carl possessed the Twelve Star Palaces, he had only achieved a rudimentary mastery and was far from capable of unleashing its true power.
Otherwise, I would be the one needing to be saved.
Carl took a deep breath and spoke in a low voice, "As expected of a wizard from the Green family, you are truly formidable. Even if I exhaust all my means, I cannot kill you here."
He had already given his all: Witchcraft, Holy Skills, Seals, Secret Techniques, Wizard Tower... He’d even brought out the Twelve Star Palaces, yet he still saw no path to victory.
"What now?" Barn chuckled lightly while casting a spell. "Are you planning to surrender? If you hand over everything you possess and allow me to refine you into a Puppet, I might consider it."
"No!" Carl shook his head lightly. "I merely said, not *here*."
"Hmm?" Barn was taken aback.
Before he could react, an inconspicuous tentacle suddenly shot out from the pool of blood beneath his feet and quickly wrapped around his ankle. The tentacle didn’t possess much attack power, and Carl’s timely and ferocious assault had prevented Barn from noticing it immediately.
By the time he did, it was already too late.
SWOOSH!
Everything blurred before their eyes.
The two of them appeared within the Divine Domain Fragment.
SWOOSH!
The space shifted again.
Carl and Barn appeared in an Otherworld.
The potent Power of Laws of this Otherworld descended; Barn’s strength plummeted, regressing to the Second Order Early Stage. The Third-tier Seals, Three-rings Witchcraft, and even the peak Second Circle Secret Techniques he wielded all became ineffective.
"Die!" Carl closed in rapidly.
Ten Thousand Buddha Hands!
Stripped of his long-relied-upon witchcraft, how could the mere physical body of a Second Circle Wizard contend against a Holy Knight?
"Where is this?"
"No!" Barn shrieked in despair as a palm strike shattered his forehead, the immense force coursing down his neck, through his torso, all the way to his ankles.
BANG!
Blood and flesh flew everywhere.

「Six Rings Tower.」
Immersed in his witchcraft research, Vulcan was startled from his work by a piercing shriek. He frowned, picked up the Magic Paper, and his expression changed drastically upon reading its contents. With a grim face, he then strode out of his Wizard Tower.
"Senior," Daniel rushed over, his face showing panic. "Something’s happened to Barn!"
"I know." Vulcan frowned deeply and said sternly, "Badden’s Cultivation and strength were no less than mine. Coupled with the benefits he obtained from that demi-plane, he should have been merely half a step away from becoming a Three-Circle Wizard. Given the Green family’s resources, he undoubtedly possessed Third-tier items, enough to escape even a Three-Circle Wizard."
"Yes." Daniel nodded and said with a bitter smile, "But he’s dead. His life flame has been extinguished."
Vulcan exhaled a long, turbid breath and said in a muffled tone, "Less than ten years after Gold’s death, both Barn and his nephew Badden have met their end in the Magic Forest. The Green family will absolutely not let this matter rest! Notify White Teeth Castle, the Secret Cultivation Association, and Rose Academy. Contact all the Three-Circle Wizards we know. Regardless of who killed Barn and his nephew, we must ensure they have no place to stand in the Magic Forest!"
"Yes." Daniel responded solemnly, "I’ll see to it right away!"
