Wizard: I Have a Game Panel
Chapter 29: Order Is Both Protection and Shackles
CHAPTER 29: CHAPTER 29: ORDER IS BOTH PROTECTION AND SHACKLES
[Fireball (0.3 Ring) → Fireball (0.6 Ring)]
[Rock Wall (0.4 Ring) → Rock Wall (0.6 Ring)]
[Charge Points: 5521, 13.94% → 5455, 21.37%]
"Let’s just add this much to the fireball and rock wall for now," Lor thought to himself, "Release one every half month, then add more after releasing."
Closing the panel, Lor walked to the small witchcraft test site in the laboratory, raised his right hand, and activated the fireball model in his Sea of Consciousness.
"Whoosh~"
A red fireball with a diameter of half a meter appeared in front of him, emitting scorching heat.
Lor pushed his palm forward.
"Puff~"
The fireball smashed into the sand, burning a scorched patch.
"If this fireball hit Barber, he’d probably be reduced to ash," Lor smiled with satisfaction, glancing at his Sea of Consciousness.
Currently, a tenth of the Elements in the Elemental Domain were depleted.
"Not bad, I can cast it ten more times, let’s try the rock wall next."
Lor lifted his palm.
"Crack, crack, crack—"
A black rock wall, three meters high, five meters wide, and about twenty centimeters thick, rose from the ground eight meters in front of him.
"Hmm, this thing consumed one-seventh of the Elements, as expected, defensive witchcraft consumes more."
He glanced at the Elemental consumption in his Sea of Consciousness and shook his head slightly.
Then he turned around, picked up an Earth Element Ball from a pile of tools at the edge of the test site, set the Elemental Shock scale to 0.7, and aimed it at the rock wall.
"Boom, crack—"
An earth-yellow light stream instantly reached the center of the rock wall, barely holding for two seconds before piercing through it completely and then vanished against the laboratory wall.
"It can withstand a 0.7 Ring attack for a while, but it’s not durable. Well, it’s just a 0.6 Ring witchcraft after all."
After testing the rock wall’s strength, Lor waved his hand, and the rock wall crumbled back into sand, dropping into the ground.
Then he walked toward the deepest part of the laboratory, pointing at the center of a Magic Array.
Thin Earth Elements struck the core of the Magic Array, causing it to slowly light up, and a light screen with six options gradually appeared.
Once the light screen stabilized, Lor tapped the fifth option "Announcements" without hesitation.
The light screen reorganized.
A line of large bold text appeared at the top of the light screen.
"Wizard Alliance Supreme Council Abyss Expedition Plan Announcement"
"Is the Wizard Supreme Council already planning to deal with the Abyss at this time?"
Lor, curious, clicked in.
The demise of the gods is not the end but a new beginning.
The Wizard Alliance Supreme Council, by a vote of the legislators, has scheduled the conquest of the Abyss for a hundred years later.
The bottomless Abyss, which the gods never conquered, will ultimately bow beneath our feet.
(First Year of the Wizard Calendar Announcement)
"Having a plan is good, but plans can’t keep up with changes." Lor sighed.
The so-called first year of the Wizard Calendar is this year.
Ten years later, when chaos within the Wizard Alliance has ravaged the Murphy Continent, the Abyss will descend.
By then, the Wizard World will enter a long period of turmoil, and it will be impossible to develop peacefully like now.
"In the past life, it seemed that beta players also appeared around that time?" Lor mused, rubbing his chin, "I wonder if they will descend in this life as well."
He was actually looking forward to the players’ arrival, which would mean countless guinea pigs and countless Witchcraft Positions.
For the late development of Space Witchcraft, he only knew a rough idea, extremely needing the guinea pigs to contribute to witchcraft research.
"Forget it, there’s no point in overthinking it. What’ll come, will come."
Lor shook his head, swiped the light screen to the right to return to the "Announcements" main page, and diligently searched for news about the Divine Kingdom exploration contest.
Unfortunately, even after flipping through the announcements more than ten times, he couldn’t find a single word related to it.
"No rush, no rush, the Divine Kingdom exploration contest will definitely open a few times in the coming years."
Lor took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing his anxiety.
Order is both protection and a shackle for him now.
...
Time whizzed by like a fleeting moment.
In the blink of an eye, Lor had already spent six months in the Wizard Tower.
"Kateya, find another level-two apprentice with 11 Spiritual Power and two remaining Witchcraft Positions tomorrow to come over and settle the lab’s accounts."
Lor, sitting under the bookshelf on the right side of the laboratory, tiredly rubbed his temples.
"Lord Lor, perhaps you should rest for a couple of days?"
Seeing the bloodshot in Lor’s eyes, Kateya couldn’t help but suggest.
Ever since Lor advanced to a level two apprentice ten days ago and learned two witchcraft, he had been obsessively researching Fusion Witchcraft day and night.
Two days ago, he had already used the laboratory’s quota to find an apprentice with two Witchcraft Positions to attempt improving the fusion.
After cultivating Lor’s provided witchcraft and fusing, that apprentice unleashed power that even startled her.
Conservatively, that witchcraft reaching the limit of a 0.9 Ring was not an exaggeration.
Yet, even at this level, Lor seemed dissatisfied and continued to improve the Witchcraft Model.
"No need, I must complete the improvements tonight." Lor shook his head, "You may go rest."
"Yes, Lord Lor." Kateya pursed her lips, ultimately not daring to persuade further, turning to leave the laboratory.
Over the past six months, Lor’s repeated witchcraft improvements had established a formidable authority in her mind.
"Which step wasn’t adjusted properly?" Lor’s Spiritual Power explored into his Sea of Consciousness, using Microscope Witchcraft to inspect the Earth Fire Traction Model and Fireball Technique Model in the Elemental Domain, falling into deep thought.
His newly created Witchcraft Rune Models are Earth Fire Traction (0.7 Ring) and High-temperature Amplitude (0.7 Ring).
In his vision, fusing Earth Fire Traction witchcraft with the Fireball Technique could result in a Small Lava Eruption Witchcraft.
With the essence of 0.7 Ring, achieving the strength of 1 Ring, and then adding the High-temperature Amplitude Witchcraft, it might reach the strength of 1.1 Ring.
Yet, the Fire and Earth Elements consumed were just a mere fifth of the current Elemental Domain.
Unfortunately, through attempts, Lor discovered that the apprentice could only induce a minor Earth Fire eruption, and the fusion with Fireball Technique only slightly increased the Earth Fire temperature.
The power reaching the limit of 0.9 Ring was achievable, but the qualitative shift to 1 Ring was nowhere in sight.
Normally, Lor wouldn’t be so anxious that he couldn’t even squeeze out time for rest.
The main reason was that half a month ago, there was an update in the "Announcements" section, stating that the first Wizard Apprentice Divine Kingdom Exploration Contest would begin in January of the second year of the Wizard Calendar, half a month from now.
Before then, he must develop the Small Lava Eruption Witchcraft, a classic Space Element apprentice-level witchcraft, for self-protection.
The Divine Kingdom Exploration Contest has no regulation; it only ensures that the apprentices entering haven’t brought any 1-Ring or above Witchcraft Scrolls, Potions, or Magic Artifacts.
That also means there is no order there; if you have no means to protect yourself, entering is akin to seeking death.
Sadly, as for Microscope Witchcraft, Lor could still draw upon some previous life’s experiences.
But for the Small Lava Eruption Witchcraft, he had absolutely no experience, relying solely on hearsay and independent research.
Compared to the former, it’s much more difficult.
