Chapter 31: Small-Scale Magma Eruption Witchcraft Fusion Success
CHAPTER 31: CHAPTER 31: SMALL-SCALE MAGMA ERUPTION WITCHCRAFT FUSION SUCCESS
After Lor finished breakfast, he suddenly remembered something and quickly said to Sherris, who was memorizing witchcraft: "Your Fireball Technique model is unusable; I’ll give you an optimized model."
He was really too exhausted earlier and actually forgot to give her his model.
Not to mention whether Sherris’s model is the 0.7-ring, even if it is, it’s useless.
The models are different, and the sequence of molecular intersections will be completely different, making any fusion in vain.
"Alright, then please give me the new Fireball Technique model as well. Do we need to sign another contract?" Sherris responded.
Changing a model is only a minor issue, anyway, everything must be fused in the end, so she naturally had no objections.
"Forget the contract, consider this model as my gift to you, and it’s already uploaded to the Alliance’s database."
Lor shook his head and rummaged through the desk for a while, found the parchment recording the Fireball Technique, handed it to Sherris, and then turned to Kateya with instructions:
"I will go rest for a while. Let me know after she completes the fusion witchcraft."
"Yes." Kateya nodded.
Lor yawned, stepped out of the laboratory, walked into the bedroom, and laid down on the bed.
These past days, he had been tirelessly researching witchcraft, which had exhausted him terribly, even making his mind a bit foggy.
He fell asleep shortly after.
...
"Lord Lor, wake up."
A gentle calling suddenly entered Lor’s ears.
Lor opened his eyes and was greeted by Kateya’s rather beautiful face.
"What time is it now?" He shook his head to clear his mind and asked as he got up.
"It’s already 4 PM," Kateya said, "Sherris has completed the witchcraft fusion and is waiting in the laboratory for your command to start the experiment."
"Did it take her that long to fuse the witchcraft?" Lor was somewhat surprised.
It was surprising that just learning one type of witchcraft and then fusing it with the Fireball Technique took eight hours; how did she even advance to a level-two apprentice?
"The fusion sequence you left was indeed somewhat difficult," Kateya replied helplessly, "She spent four hours memorizing it and another two hours to barely complete the fusion."
"Alright, I’ll go check out the results." Lor stood up and left the bedroom, heading to the laboratory.
Seeing this, Kateya quickly followed along.
As soon as he stepped into the laboratory, he instantly saw Sherris eagerly waiting by the small Witchcraft Test Site.
"Lord Lor, I’m ready. Can we start the test now?" Sherris quickly asked upon seeing Lor’s arrival.
"Hold on, I’ll activate the protective shield," Lor said, walking to the right side of the test site and infusing a bit of Earth Element into a small Magic Array.
"Buzz~"
With a slight buzzing sound, a semi-transparent yellow light shield rose around the small Witchcraft Test Site.
This thing’s purpose is to prevent the witchcraft from affecting other parts of the laboratory during large-scale witchcraft tests, only protecting the inside, not the outside.
In front of the shield, there’s a scale to directly test the witchcraft’s power, though it’s not very precise.
There are only six scales representing 0.1, 0.4, 0.7, 1, 1.4, and 1.7 respectively.
"It’s ready, go ahead," Lor looked at Sherris and instructed with some anticipation.
"Okay."
Sherris nodded, lightly stomped her right foot, and an obscure fluctuation silently began to brew beneath the test site.
Just one second passed.
"Boom——"
A ten-meter diameter, terrifyingly hot, red magma suddenly erupted from the center of the Witchcraft Test Site.
They surged, boiling and rolling as if stirred by an angry giant, rushing out from the ground as if endless.
The first burst of magma instantly touched the light shield in the air, colliding red with yellow.
"Sizzle——"
The magma raised waves, the fierce fire burned the shield, yet it was like facing an immovable mountain, failing to stir even a ripple in the shield.
It simply rolled back helplessly, flowing freely in the test site, gradually submerging the entire sandy ground.
"It’s done."
Seeing the scale on the shield exceed 0.7, reaching a full 1 ring, Lor’s lips curled into a smile.
The two women beside him were not as calm.
"1 ring..." Sherris looked at the scale on the shield, utterly stupefied.
She only employed a 0.7-ring fusion witchcraft, how could it have the power of a 1-ring?
She had never even heard of an apprentice-level witchcraft wielding such power before.
Yet now, not only had she unleashed such a witchcraft herself, but she also noticed only a fifth of the elements in her Sea of Consciousness had been reduced.
At this moment, she felt as if her worldview had been reshaped by this witchcraft.
"This is nothing short of a miracle, Lord Lor’s talent is indeed unparalleled," Kateya remarked, her mouth uncontrollably curling up, trying hard to suppress her excitement.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t contain the grin that had cracked across her face.
Her heart was pounding like a drum, releasing waves of excitement.
While Kateya knew about such witchcraft capable of exerting a 1-ring power at apprentice level, though not within the Earth and Fire Faction, some Dual Element or even Tri-Element factions indeed had a few.
But the fusion witchcraft Lor created had a foundation of double 0.7 rings!
While other factions’ dual fusion witchcraft were mostly double 0.9 rings.
This means that Lor’s witchcraft still holds the potential for further advancement, potentially vying for the top spot in apprentice-level witchcraft.
"Alright, the experiment is complete. Sherris, dispel the magma eruption witchcraft," Lor turned around and said to Sherris, who still stood there dumbfounded.
"Yes."
Lor’s words pulled the two women out of their joy, and Sherris quickly waved her hand toward the small test site.
The magma, stacked about three meters high and continuing to rise, dissipated, restoring the test site to its original state.
"You’ve both worked hard today. Kateya, take Sherris to claim her reward, then go and rest."
Lor nodded with satisfaction at the restored test site, then instructed the two women.
"Alright." Kateya bowed slightly, about to lead Sherris away.
At this moment, Sherris unexpectedly spoke up: "Lord Lor, I voluntarily waive the experimental reward. The witchcraft you’ve given me is worth far more than 500 contribution points."
"The Wizard Tower has its own rules." Lor shook his head, "Take what’s yours; don’t make it difficult for me."
"I... very well, thank you for your generosity."
Sherris gave Lor a deep bow with slight reluctance, then followed Kateya out of the laboratory.
Meeting Sherris for less than a day, her attitude had changed to match Kateya’s, treating Lor completely like a 1-ring wizard.
After the two women left, Lor securely closed the laboratory door, entered the bedroom, and began the fusion of the small magma eruption witchcraft.
The process went very smoothly, taking only two minutes to fuse the molecular intersections between the Fireball Technique and the Earth-Fire Traction Technique.
The two models intersected, forming a larger and more complex model in the end.
