Wizard: I Have a Game Panel
Chapter 78: Surprise
CHAPTER 78: CHAPTER 78: SURPRISE
The Meteor slammed into the wave, creating a massive breach over a hundred miles wide.
Countless sea fish and sea beasts were directly hit by the Meteor, blood mixed with seawater splashed everywhere.
It then plowed through, penetrating deep into the giant wave.
Upon reaching the center, it suddenly emitted endless light and heat.
"Boom——"
An explosion resounded through the surroundings.
The Meteor that entered the wave’s center abruptly exploded, with endless flames and shattered rocks carried by the shockwave spreading within the wave, covering tens of miles.
All first and second-tier sea fish and sea beasts affected by these flames and rocks perished.
As for the third-tier sea fish and sea beasts, most were either dead or wounded.
"Crash——Boom——"
A colossal wave over ten miles high and a hundred miles wide instantly collapsed by more than half, heavily slamming onto the ocean surface.
Only a corner remained with a wave five miles high and a dozen miles wide.
"It seems a single 3.0 ring Meteor Spell can’t completely destroy the giant wave." Lor shook his head with some regret.
However, this is normal; a giant wave over a hundred miles wide and ten miles high is usually stirred up by ten third-tier sea race leaders leading many first and second-tier members.
The Meteor Technique can kill third-tier sea creatures whether it strikes directly or explodes within a ten-mile radius.
But the peripheral ripple zone is different; even if third-tier sea creatures are not strong, they can withstand some of the explosion’s aftermath.
...
"See, I told you he couldn’t completely obliterate the wave in one go." A wizard gloated through the transmission, the tone tinged with subtle jealousy.
"Ha, listen to you bragging, as if you were able to use third-tier Witchcraft upon first entering the second-ring." Another wizard scoffed disdainfully.
"This one is indeed a genius, no wonder he doesn’t want to resist the wave with those second-ring wizards." Someone sighed in admiration.
"Yes..."
Soon, the voices discussing faded, seemingly returning to the calm before Lor’s arrival.
Because they realized this new second-ring wizard indeed had strength, not just a conceited clown.
Continuing the discussion seemed pointless.
...
Elsewhere, Lor didn’t rush to release another Meteor Technique on the remaining wave, but instead, he delved his Spiritual Power into the Sea of Consciousness for a look and found that the Elemental Domain’s energy was halved.
"A single 3.0 ring Meteor Spell actually consumes fifty percent of my Elemental Energy." Lor’s mouth twitched.
Though... Well, his Spiritual Power now is only 1008 points, the Elemental Energy he can carry converted into the so-called Spiritual Energy points on the panel is just 10080 points.
Forcing the casting of third-ring level witchcraft, it’s understandable that the consumption is higher.
Once the Spiritual Power improves in the future, such situations will get better.
Lor took handfuls of Magic Crystals from the Space Ring, while absorbing to replenish Elemental Energy, simultaneously released another 2.9 ring smaller Meteor Technique at the remaining wave, causing Elemental Energy in the Sea of Consciousness to drop again by about ten percent.
"Rumble——"
Meteor fell, and the wave completely collapsed.
"It consumed 685 Magic Crystals to fully recover, absorbing the scattered Elemental Energy truly a lot." Lor absorbed the Magic Crystals in an instant, glanced at the Sea of Consciousness, feeling a bit emotional.
The Magic Crystals contain pure elemental energy.
Mages of any faction can absorb it to replenish their Elemental Energy.
Those with higher Meditation Talent absorb faster, making the Elemental Energy in Magic Crystals disperse more, usually it’s somewhat wasteful.
In practicing Spiritual cultivation, Magic Crystals can also be used as auxiliary for nurture, speeding up cultivation; this is often done by wizards.
"Ding——"
When the wave that Lor bombarded twice completely shattered, the Marking Demon Artifact floating over his right shoulder emitted a prompt tone.
He ignored the Marking Demon Artifact and instead pulled out the Communication Board from his Space Ring, opened the sea exploration task and took a look.
Only to find the leaderboard disappeared at some point.
"Tsk, I thought there would be some new leaderboard for crushing waves or something."
Lor sighed with some regret, casually threw the Communication Board back into the Space Ring, then turned his gaze again to the waves surging below, "Next, let’s try if 3.1 rings can shatter the waves in one strike."
He projected consciousness into the Sea of Consciousness and activated the Meteor Rune Model.
"Whoosh——"
A meteor with a diameter close to fifteen miles, containing even stronger elemental fluctuations than before, again streaked across the sky, descending towards the waves below.
"Boom——"
This time, a single Meteor Spell shattered the waves.
"Using seventy percent of the Elemental Energy in one cast, the consumption is truly large." Lor clicked his tongue silently, continued extracting Magic Crystals from the Space Ring to replenish Elemental Energy.
...
As this Meteor descended, some wizards who still held slight attention on him were instantly in an uproar.
"Look at that new second-ring wizard quickly, just now that spell’s elemental fluctuations seem off, it shattered the wave in one go."
"No way, is 3.0 ring spell not his limit? He just broke through the second ring!"
"Is this what it means to be a genius?"
"Where are those who said he couldn’t shatter the wave in one spell now? What’s their take now?"
"Truly terrifying..."
This time, no more questioning voices emerged, only shock and praise.
If it were at the limit of the second ring, being able to merge 3.1 ring power spells, they would find it unremarkable because most of them in the Multi-Element Faction were such geniuses.
But being able to do this upon first entering the second ring was truly absurd.
...
Behind the line of defense ten thousand miles away, above the sky.
"Hmm, was that not his limit just now?" Cooper watched the Meteor that destroyed the wave in one strike, a hint of surprise in his eyes, "After returning, I should summon this little guy."
To achieve such a level upon first entering the second ring, even he hadn’t seen many like this.
The future possibility of breaking through the Fourth Ring should be higher than regular geniuses.
This moved him somewhat, considering offering good conditions to keep this little guy at his Wizard Tower.
If he really becomes a Fourth Ring, there would be some goodwill involved.
Though this goodwill surely wouldn’t be as significant as that with Speaker Yasen, still having some is better than none.
Other Fourth Ring wizards also looked unexpectedly in Lor’s direction at this time.
"Whose descendant is this?" A transmission came from the Elemental Giant in the western sky.
"Never seen them."
"No impression."
...
One by one, the Fourth Ring wizards shook their heads; they truly had no impression of Lor.
"I know, he’s the mentor of Speaker Yasen’s grandson, currently staying at my Wizard Tower."
Cooper laughed, "The Speaker is truly the Speaker, he has an accurate eye, quickly discovering a genius sapling. Judging by this situation, their hope to break the Fourth Ring should be bigger than typical genius."
"Yes, it should be bigger."
"Indeed."
Upon hearing Cooper’s words, they abandoned the idea of recruiting Lor; a person simultaneously recognized by a Speaker, they had no chance.
Thus, they merely agreed and stopped focusing on Lor.
