Wizard: I Have a Game Panel
Chapter 82: Arrogance Gives Way to Respect
CHAPTER 82: CHAPTER 82: ARROGANCE GIVES WAY TO RESPECT
One month later.
Betula Continent, Cooper Wizard Tower.
"Whew—"
A black spaceship flew over the volcano covered with strange green plants and the city at the foot of the volcano, landing in the spaceship docking area outside the Wizard Tower.
Lor disembarked with Levan and followed the surging crowd into the Wizard Tower.
At the entrance of the Wizard Tower, a First Ring wizard wearing a bicolor wizard robe of red and green lit up at the sight of Lor entering the tower. He immediately took out a communication ball and began to transmit a message: "Bruno, sir, he has returned."
"Good, noted." An elderly voice emanated from the communication ball.
After waiting for a moment, confirming there were no other instructions, the First Ring wizard in the bicolor robe put the communication ball back into his robe.
...
Meanwhile, Lor was leading Levan to the temporary laboratory on the nineteenth floor of the Wizard Tower.
However, as they reached the third floor, they were stopped by an elderly-faced wizard in a bicolor wizard robe.
"Do you need something from me?" Lor inquired, looking at the Third Ring Elder Wizard in front of him.
He had some impression of this elder.
The first time he came to Cooper Wizard Tower, he had exchanged 10 million Magic Crystals with contribution points, and this elder was the one who had delivered them to him.
Back then, the elder had a sullen face, as if someone owed him 8 million, appearing to be sulking.
Thus, Lor didn’t engage in much conversation, only hurriedly expressed his thanks, and let it go.
But now, upon meeting him again, there was a noticeable change.
The sullen face had turned into a smiling one, exuding a genial demeanor, looking somewhat unfamiliar.
"Lor Wizard, my name is Bruno Parker."
Elder Wizard Bruno smiled cheerfully: "The Tower Master had previously informed me to hand over a first-class laboratory on the fifty-seventh floor of the Wizard Tower to you. I am responsible for the handover, and you can contact me anytime for it if you are available."
"Also about establishing a school of thought, if you have any needs in this regard, you may contact me to receive a plot of land."
He paused for a moment, retrieving a communication board from his space ring, "Shall we add each other’s contact information first?"
The last time they met, he had seen Lor as an outsider.
An outsider requesting to exchange 10 million Magic Crystals directly disrupted subsequent planning and arrangements, naturally displeasing him.
But now it’s different; Lor had agreed to join Cooper Wizard Tower.
Moreover, the Tower Master had exceptionally granted this Second Ring wizard a first-class laboratory, underscoring his importance.
The Tower Master’s high regard was for one of two reasons: either Lor was likely to break through the Fourth Ring, or he held potential to achieve some astonishing research breakthrough.
Regardless of Lor’s category, he was not someone a mere Third Ring wizard managing trivial tasks could afford to offend.
As for Lor’s background... no matter how significant it was, it wouldn’t compel the Tower Master to bestow such preferential treatment.
Master Cooper was already half a step into the top echelons of the Wizard Alliance.
Thus, he thought to quickly mend relations, seizing the laboratory handover task from another wizard in charge of lodging assignments to repair the previously unpleasant impression.
"Alright, I’ll leave it to you then."
Lor nodded with a smile, connecting his communication board with Bruno’s, then asked, "Can I bring my mentor, assistant, and student to reside in that first-class lab?"
The first-class lab occupies an entire floor of the Wizard Tower and contains a dedicated residential area.
Anything like the witchcraft experimental area, magic artifact production area, potion production area, etc., all have separate sections and top-tier configurations.
Accommodating those he brought would be more than sufficient.
The reason for asking was purely to know if Legislator Cooper had any additional arrangements planned.
"Of course." Bruno nodded quickly, "From now on, the fifty-seventh floor of the Wizard Tower is your personal laboratory. You can organize it however you wish."
"Alright, then let’s find my mentor and assistant first." Having said that, Lor continued towards the fourth floor of the Wizard Tower.
He didn’t dwell much on Bruno’s change of attitude.
After all, they still gave him those 10 million Magic Crystals, and the rest was trivial.
"Okay." Bruno responded and fell a step back, walking alongside Levan, closely following.
Before long, the trio reached the nineteenth floor of the Wizard Tower.
Lor first arrived at the door of his temporary laboratory and gently knocked.
"Click—"
Soon, the laboratory door opened, and Kateya looked out, somewhat puzzled.
"Lor, sir, you’ve returned." Seeing that it was Lor who knocked, the confusion in her eyes turned to surprise, and she bowed to Lor.
Some time ago, a disturbance in the Endless Sea was announced on the communication board’s "Announcement" section, causing her worry for quite a while.
Because she knew, Lor was in the Endless Sea at that time.
Seeing Lor return now, she could finally lay down her concerns.
"Yes." Lor smiled and said, "I have good news for you, from now on we will move to the fifty-seventh floor of the Wizard Tower."
"Fifty-seventh floor?"
Confusion flickered in Kateya’s eyes, but within less than a second, she reacted, looking at Lor in disbelief, stammering: "Lor... Lor, sir, are you talking about the first-class laboratory?"
Through these days of probing, Kateya had long learned that floors fifty to seventy of Cooper Wizard Tower were all first-class laboratories.
Besides this, she had compiled various bits of information, special locations of Cooper Wizard Tower into a record, prepared to promptly answer if Lor asked.
However, to her utter surprise, the first thing Lor did upon returning was ask her to move to the fifty-seventh floor.
A first-class laboratory, one even hard to attain by Third Ring wizards!
Even after following Lor for so long, being repeatedly stunned by various displays of his genius to the point of numbness.
Kateya still couldn’t calm down, her heart beating like a drum ’thump thump thump,’ feeling as though she were in a beautiful dream.
"Yes, go pack up quickly." Lor nodded, "I will go call my mentor."
"Yes." Kateya responded immediately, then, somewhat dazed, walked back into the laboratory.
Fearing waking from the dream, she wanted to linger a bit longer in this beautiful dream.
The remuneration for an assistant in a first-class laboratory is incomparable to a third-class, and even most Second Ring wizards envied but couldn’t obtain it.
Leaving her own laboratory, Lor walked only a few steps to Agular’s temporary lab and knocked on the door.
"Good to have you back." Agular opened the door, and seeing it was Lor outside, worry disappeared from his brow, replaced by a relieved smile.
