Working as a police officer in Mexico
Chapter 1226 597:
The woman's hair stood on end, her eyes filled with terror, mostly because the expression on his face was truly frightening.
The police hadn't even managed to cover his mouth before they saw the prostitute rush over, her high heel kicking the man's groin.
"Aow!!!"
The man's pupils shrank, his eyes bulged, and his legs went weak, making him kneel on the ground, his breathing ragged.
"I've been in this line of work for so many years, and you dare scare me! Screw your father!"
The nearby police officer couldn't even hold her back. Watching the man clutching his groin in convulsions made everyone's scalp tingle with numbness. Most women still in this business started during the era of drug traffickers; they've seen everything.
Threats of non-payment are commonplace.
Even though they didn't know what this man did, does a small-time thug think he can scare a veteran like her?
Oh right, prostitution is not allowed in Mexico because it spreads diseases. Furthermore, if it were legalized, women's rights wouldn't be safeguarded, leading to more incidents like America's Devil's Island, so matters like these should be handled according to national conditions.
Those willing to leave the life enter society, receiving some help and support. Falling into the quagmire isn't their fault; it's the fault of the era!
"Take him away, take him away."
The team leader hurriedly gestured for his team to escort him away, fearing he might get kicked to death. After throwing the man into the police car, they quickly left.
After bringing him back to the police station, he was handed over to the Intelligence Bureau that had come, and the latter took him back to their unit for interrogation. They hung him up, placing a fire basin beneath his feet. Pouring some gasoline down, a burst of fire surged up, burning his feet painfully.
They kept him like this for two hours, only entering to question him when he was almost done for.
This kind of torment...
If you don't believe it, try lighting your own thumb with a lighter and see how long you can endure it?
The man, whose defensive line had long since collapsed due to torture, revealed his identity and purpose.
"I belong to the Iraqi Intelligence Bureau, ordered to disrupt Belize remotely... remotely command agents in Mexico City to sabotage the meeting."
As he spoke, his voice got stuck, raising his head, looking at them with bloodshot eyes, "How did you discover me?"
A Mexican intelligence employee glanced at him, saying meaningfully, "Not everyone in the Iraqi Intelligence Bureau only works for Uday."
The man's pupils shrunk.
Someone betrayed an overseas employee? Who?
Who has the worst relationship with Uday? Everyone in Iraq knows this problem.
Qusay Hussein!
...
July 14.
The "First North American and European Defense Ministers Meeting" was held in Mexico.
For the past two days, many countries' defense ministers have arrived successively, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and so on. Apart from Poland and Spain, all of Europe has come.
Oh, Spain simply didn't receive an invitation.
The Victor regime has a poor relationship with the Royal Family; the latter's assets worth billions of US Dollars in Mexico were nationalized, and their quality of life plummeted. It's no wonder they're in a bad mood.
And Poland...
They feel they're back in action.
Truth is, many things were discussed privately before the meeting; what you see is just a formality.
At nine in the morning, in the plaza outside the National Palace, the flags of the participating countries fluttered fiercely in the southeast wind, making a "clack-clack" sound.
Casare stood on the stage in a suit, delivering a brief welcome speech, after which Victor took the stage, bowing slightly to everyone.
The applause below was thunderous.
Looking down, Victor saw a group of uniform defense ministers, ministers, and other high-ranking officials. He had to admit; power truly sets one's heart racing.
Gripping the podium with both hands, he began his speech without notes.
"Distinguished colleagues, friends,
"When we gaze upon this planet, we don't just see magnificent mountains and splendid civilizations; we also see the unavoidable scars: wars continue to tear apart the homes and lives of innocent people, ruthless drugs subtly devour youth and future, the sacred dignity of life is still trampled by violence and neglect in parts of the world; all sorts of crime, like shadows, erode the social fabric and human hearts, this is not the destiny that should befall humanity!!!"
Victor paused, sweeping his gaze across everyone, "Peace is not a cheap gift, it is the foundation we must strive to protect. Wars destroy not only bricks and stones but also the clear-eyed hope countless children hold for tomorrow. We call for dialogue to replace confrontation, for the gentle streams of reconciliation to gather into a sea."
"Mexico, along with Ren Lian and the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy, will send delegations to contentious regions in the Middle East. We also call on all parties to cease warfare and offer a chance for the populace under fire to live!"
"In respect of this meeting, the US and Mexico have reached a ceasefire agreement, joining efforts to uphold world peace!"
With these words, a portion of the European defense ministers' faces changed subtly.
They all turned to look at a few people sitting at the front.
British Defense Minister Malcolm Rifkind maintained a calm expression.
French Defense Minister Pierre Joxe sat upright, his gaze deep.
Germany's Folker Luuer squinted, remaining composed and silent.
When America was present, you called us "European America," I didn't object, even without a seat in the presidential office we accepted because that was America.
But now that America is weak, as we form a coalition, what should you call us now?
These countries aren't pushovers, especially the European Legion formed in 1992 was to break free of American control, desiring their own military capabilities.
Yet who knew, not even a year later, NATO's leader began struggling.
Familiar faces among the smaller countries in the back exchanged glances, seeing astonishment in each other's eyes.
Damn!
Aren't we invited to the table?
Are we not worthy of sitting at the table?!!
Actually, all of this is a matter of mutual benefit; Mexico needs Balast stabilized at the front line, needing to pull others in to pressure, and see how resilient the little tyrant of the Middle East who lost his father truly is.
Meanwhile, on stage, Victor clearly perceived the looks on everyone's face, but he continued without concern:
"Besides that, drugs are also a tumor on civilization, and a venomous desecration of life. It destroys individual will, breaks family ties, and poisons social foundations. Global anti-drug efforts require us to build a solid defense line: from eradicating it at the source to blocking its routes, from wielding the sword of law to internalizing preventive education, especially protecting our younger generation, keeping them away from this fatal temptation. As drugs spread in the shadows, each of us could become the next victim or family of a victim. Global cooperation to sever the drug chain is urgent!!"
"All, these goals are not isolated. Peace gives space to respect life, the rule of law and human rights provide the scale of justice for fighting crime and drug trafficking. The opening words of the United Nations Charter state, 'We the Peoples of the United Nations are determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war...' The Universal Declaration of Human Rights also announces that 'All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.' These are not musty texts, but perennial guidelines for our actions."
"What we need are not empty promises, but action starting from this moment! From nations to communities, from institutions to individuals, let us, with immense courage and wisdom, sow the seeds of peace, dispel the shadow of drugs, uphold the dignity of life, and drive back the shadow of crime!
"Mexico and Europe will form an alliance to conduct a year-long military war against super-large drug trafficking organizations like the Medellin, Cali Cartel, and Three-leaf Association in North America!"
These were all discussed in private.
Mexico allows countries to work swiftly in North America, and similarly, Mexico will station troops in Europe. Of course, outwardly, the unified statement is to eliminate drug traffickers!
In fact, everyone knows that European countries want to keep an eye on the United States. If they show signs of reuniting, then there will be little moves, for they don't want their "Daddy" to be resurrected.
And if Mexico wants to "further" its discourse rights, Europe is a must to win over.
Victor didn't want to be the world's leader.
His ambition is very small.
He only wants to be the world's "Roosevelt."
And that's it!
Politics is all about compromise and exchanging interests.
Nothing more.
