CHAPTER 209: DAOIST MASTER WANG'S COUNTERATTACK

At some point in their life, everyone would face three ultimate questions: who they were, where they were, and what they were doing.

Right now, Wang Sheng was stuck thinking about all three.

He remembered dreaming about sitting with his senior sister, Huai Jing, Zhou Yinglong, and the others, gazing at the stars and moon. Each of them had to shout out their aspirations for the Dao and their hopes for the future.

After he shouted his, the dream ended.

Wang Sheng held his liquor reasonably well. Once he realized he was drunk, he sat quietly at the courtyard gate and went back to sleep. The laughter behind him brought a deep sense of peace.

Speaking of which, if Xi Lian had taken the opportunity to strike him while he was drunk—turning him into a pile of meat before he could react—wouldn't she have gained her freedom right then?

Nevertheless, as he drifted back to sleep, a different thought crossed his mind. Why didn't Buddhist Master Santong put a restriction on the "Life Contract"? Like, if I die, Xi Lian dies too. Hmm... maybe I'm just too weak for that.

Eventually, he was roused from his sleep by something that felt suspiciously like being nibbled on. It was probably the middle of the night. As if drained of all strength, he felt limp and unable to move a finger. It was as if a spell had hit him.

As he woke up from a drowsy and weightless dream, before he could even lift his eyelids, he felt a small mouth brush lightly across his face like a flash of lightning.

S-Senior Sister?!

Wang Sheng jolted inwardly and instantly sobered up. He kept his eyes shut and pretended to sleep.

Well, it wasn't like he could move his eyelids anyway. With the immobilization technique binding him, he couldn't budge at all.

He then heard Mou Yue's laughter nearby. "See? That's the simplest kind of kiss. In many foreign countries, it's a standard greeting."

Wang Sheng was speechless.

Fine. Mou Yue is like an old friend now. If she wants to take advantage of me a bit, so be it.

Wang Sheng actually felt a bit grateful for their efforts in helping with whatever was going on between him and his senior sister. He couldn't exactly talk to her about this stuff himself.

"Little Xuanxuan, it's your turn. Aim for his lips!" Xi Lian exclaimed.

Wang Sheng trembled again, and his mouth suddenly felt dry. A wave of heat rushed through him, but he forced himself to stay completely still.

Pretending to be asleep actually took quite a bit of skill.

He could feel someone slowly leaning in toward him, and he faintly smelled his senior sister's unique fragrance.

"Is this really okay?" Mou Yue interjected. "A first kiss is a big deal for a girl."

Wang Sheng remained silent.

"Hmm. That is true." Xi Lian quieted down for a moment. She then said, "We're just teaching Little Xuanxuan some things tonight. If it helps Fei Yu give in a little, all the better. She should at least remember how it feels. Once she figures out her feelings, she won't end up like me, bottling everything inside. Alright, leave him be for now. Mou Yue, you keep talking. I've lived for so long, yet when it comes to this stuff, I really know less than you."

"N-no, Senior, you give me too much credit," Mou Yue stammered. "I just... ugh, this is kind of embarrassing."

"No need to be embarrassed. It's just the three of us here. Fei Yu's dead asleep from drinking," Xi Lian urged. Despite being a half-immortal fox, the kind of seductive creature from old folklore, she spoke with complete confidence and ease. "Why don't you start by telling us what kind of men women usually like, and what kind of women men tend to like?"

Mou Yue thought for a moment.

"I think what kind of man we like is up to personal taste. But what kind of woman men like tends to follow certain patterns," she answered, growing bolder and more explicit with each sentence. It made Wang Sheng's Dao Heart waver ever so slightly. "They're visual creatures. What they care about first is a girl's face, body, and aura, and only then comes personality..."

Mou Yue slipped fully into lecture mode, feeding the two cultivators a crash course in romantic dynamics.

While listening, Wang Sheng started to feel a little guilty. Eavesdropping on girls' private conversations felt kind of wrong. However, just before he could withdraw his consciousness inward, Mou Yue started critiquing Mu Wanxuan and Xi Lian's figures...

At that point, how could he not listen attentively?

The night deepened. In that secluded courtyard on Wudang's back mountain, soft laughter floated through the air. A bit later, even playful scuffling could be heard.

Unfortunately, all the Daoist masters and disciples on mountain patrol had been strictly ordered to stay away. Aside from Wang Sheng, who had been immobilized and at times got dragged into the commotion, no one would know just how entertaining a drunken half-immortal fox could be.

Immobilization techniques didn't last forever, though.

As dawn approached, Wang Sheng opened his eyes and looked down at his partially loosened Flowing Celestial Robe.

He was still in his training attire, which seemed mostly intact. He was lying near the window on the edge of the brick bed, though. Right next to him was Mu Wanxuan, sleeping with a faint, peaceful smile of contentment. She had leaned gently against him, their bodies nearly touching but not quite.

Wang Sheng remembered clearly that both the team leader of the Special Investigation Unit and the freshly unsealed half-immortal fox had spent two hours last night goading his senior sister to crawl into his arms. However, after learning about human intimacy for most of the night, Mu Wanxuan had grown even more shy and just. Hence, she instead quietly brushed the matter aside.

He stared at the "fairy" before him, from her hair down to her earlobes, to her small mouth that was slightly parted in her sleep. His eyes slowly wandered lower, drawn to every inch of her flawless figure. He wanted to lean in, but he stopped himself again and again. After a moment's hesitation, he reached out and gave her cheek a gentle pinch.

It felt soft and smooth; it was delightful.

Mu Wanxuan rolled over. Her lips moved faintly, but she was clearly in a deep sleep.

Wang Sheng quietly climbed down from the bed like a thief. When he turned around, he saw the most stunning scene of his life so far. Two figures lay intertwined, their clothes in disarray. Even the gentle drape of a loosened skirt didn't hide their beauty.

Seeing Mou Yue and the half-immortal fox sleeping in each other's arms, Wang Sheng's mouth curled into a faint, cold smile. These two "noblewomen" had apparently given his senior sister all kinds of outrageous ideas last night.

How should I repay them?

That half-immortal fox couldn't even get his robe off properly last night after fussing over it for hours. Maybe he should show his appreciation... by taking off his own clothes?

Why not?

Wang Sheng calmly removed his Flowing Celestial Robe, took off all his training attire underneath, and casually tossed them aside. Now, all he had on was a pair of artifact-underwear that he'd never gotten the chance to use. Though he didn't have bulky muscles, his years of sword training had given him a lean physique.

He lay down on the ground next to the bed. After blinking a few times, he ran inside to put on a pair of boxer shorts over his small underwear and then came back out.

He dabbed some water around the corners of his eyes to mimic tear stains.

If he was going to act, he might as well commit fully!

Wang Sheng hardened his resolve and sprinkled some water on the floor beside the bed. Then he lay back down on his Flowing Celestial Robe and fell asleep like it was the most natural thing in the world.

By noon, a sharp scream came from the main house, only to be abruptly stifled.

Moments later, three graceful figures ran out of the house one after another. Xi Lian had turned pale, and she kept checking her clothes in a panic. Meanwhile, Mou Yue's hair was a mess. She found a corner and started banging her head against the wall.

Mu Wanxuan still looked full of immortal grace. Her lips were gently pressed together, and a hint of complexity showed in her expression.

"We..."

Xi Lian bit her full lips. "I know that in this lifetime, there is no longer any chance between me and Daoist Master Qinglin. Even so, I cannot simply ruin a man's innocence for no reason. What should I do about this?"

Mou Yue kept banging her head and mumbling, "It's my fault. It's my fault. It's my fault..."

Mu Wanxuan puffed up her cheeks and stayed silent.

"Which one of us did it? If it was Little Xuanxuan, then it's fine," Xi Lian whispered. "I checked my memory from last night. Nothing too explicit showed up... I sealed my cultivation in advance because I was afraid of losing control after drinking, though. My spiritual perception didn't record anything either."

Mu Wanxuan shook her head slightly, telling them that she didn't remember anything either.

Memory blackouts after drinking were common. However, the "victim," her junior brother, lay inside the house, "violated."

Mou Yue stopped banging her head and looked at her own hands. She suddenly burst into tears and covered her mouth.

"It must've been me. Daoist Master Wang is so handsome. I'm such a flirt, and I drank so much... how can I face him now?"

Xi Lian sighed softly. "What is there to worry about? Fei Yu and Little Xuanxuan already have feelings for each other. They're both unmarried and cultivators. A drunken mistake isn't that serious. Don't cry. Since you accepted me as your elder sister yesterday, I'll take the blame for this. What's a bit of reputation to a fox cultivator like me?"

"Mmm..." Mu Wanxuan typed on her phone that if it came down to it, she'd confess to her junior brother herself and say that she had taken his innocence last night.

However, as she lifted her phone, the Daoist master lying inside finally burst into laughter.

"Hahahaha! Hahahaha!"

For a moment, the three women were struck speechless, but they were no fools. In complete silence, they turned and stormed into the room together with a terrifying momentum.

Screams instantly replaced the laughter.

At two in the afternoon, a group of people walked up a mountain path. Zhou Yinglong and the other Wudang disciples led the way. Behind them were Huai Jing, Shi Qianzhang, and Liu Yunzhi, who had come to visit Wudang for the day.

They were about to meet a half-immortal senior, and they all felt a little nervous. Soon, they arrived at the entrance of the small courtyard. The gate was slightly ajar.

Hao Ling smiled. "The senior is very kind. She's just like us young people, no airs at all."

Zhou Yinglong pushed the gate open. "Junior Brother Wang, look who came to—huh?"

Everyone outside the gate froze, staring at the scene inside the courtyard. Turning bright red, Hao Ling quickly turned away.
