Worldwide Class Change: An Invincible Swordsman
Chapter 45, The Bet_1
CHAPTER 45: CHAPTER 45, THE BET_1
What is this place? It’s where newcomers challenge the tower. It’s easy to guess why Jiang Qiu would be here.
Jiang Qiu fell silent.
"Jiang Qiu, aren’t you going to introduce your little brother to me so that I can take care of him in the future?"
Jiang Qiu frowned deeply. "Stinky woman, don’t get cocky. If you take care of my little brother, I’ll take care of yours."
Huh... "taking care" of each other? Right. I might take care of *her* sister, but *she* definitely doesn’t need to "take care" of *my sister’s* brother. My sister’s brother—me!—still needs *his own sister’s* care!
Jiang Chen realized this was his sister’s archenemy!
Nemesis meets nemesis.
Jiang Chen walked over to Jiang Qiu’s side. "Your sworn enemy?"
Jiang Qiu nodded. "This woman is Hanna, an Angel. She doesn’t get along with me—they’re members of The Light Faction, and I’m a member of the Dark Series."
Jiang Chen was filled with confusion. The Dark Series, The Light Faction?
Jiang Chen looked at Hanna. She was adorned in white Angel Wings, clad in a pure white Light Armor Set, holding a Thin Sword, and floating thirty centimeters off the ground.
I have to say, this woman is pretty attractive...
Hanna looked at Jiang Chen with interest. "So this is your little brother? Quite handsome, isn’t he? Tell Big Sister what your class is, and Big Sister will take care of you later."
Jiang Qiu became furious. "Hanna, I’m telling you, don’t you dare get any ideas about my little brother, or you’ll have me to answer to!"
"Look at you getting all defensive. I just want to show some concern for your little brother; I’m not going to do anything. Besides, only if your leader came would you have the right to act tough in front of me. As for you, forget it."
Jiang Qiu took a deep breath, managing to hold back her anger.
Jiang Chen looked at Hanna and chuckled. "Thanks for your concern, Senior. However, my ’sword’ is a bit too long; I’m afraid you can’t handle it."
Jiang Qiu was stunned to hear this.
Is this really my little brother? This is just outright hooliganism!
Wang Gang stood aside, watching Jiang Chen with excitement. Worthy of being the Boss! Daring to flirt with a Senior Sister just after arriving at the academy—so badass!
Hanna was also stunned. She had intended to undermine Jiang Qiu, but instead, she was being flirted with by Jiang Qiu’s younger brother.
Plenty of senior students were looking at Jiang Chen.
"Who is this kid, daring to flirt with Senior Hanna?"
"Don’t know. He looks like he just arrived, but I admire his courage."
"That’s Jiang Qiu, a Dark Angel. And that’s Hanna, an Angel. The two have always been at odds; they’ve even had conflicts before."
"Interesting, so very interesting."
The people around Hanna heard what Jiang Chen said and immediately flew into a rage out of shame.
"Kid, who do you think you are? You dare to flirt with the Light Legion Leader? State your name!"
Wang Gang stepped forward, loudly declaring, "This is my boss, the famous Jiang Chen! You don’t even know my boss’s name? Truly ignorant!"
The person looked at Wang Gang doubtfully. "And who are you?"
"Hmph! I am Wang Gang, and I stand by my name!"
Jiang Chen pulled Wang Gang back. Wang Gang was impulsive, and Jiang Chen worried he’d do something rash. This wasn’t the time for recklessness.
Can’t you see she’s a First-stage Expert? Are you looking for death...?
Hanna turned toward Jiang Qiu. "Jiang Qiu, your little brother came here for the trial, and my brother has also entered the Tower of Trial. How about we make a bet?"
Jiang Qiu asked, "What’s the bet?"
"Both of them enter the Tower of Trial at the same time, and we’ll see who gets to a higher floor. The stake? I remember you have a set of Blazing Angel Equipment. If I win, you give me that Blazing Angel Equipment."
Jiang Qiu’s brow furrowed. This set of equipment had been hard-earned by their team, and Hanna had always wanted it. But as mortal enemies, they would never give it to her. Moreover, the equipment wasn’t hers alone but belonged to the team.
Seeing Jiang Qiu’s hesitation, Hanna continued, "You can contact your team leader, Alice, to see if she agrees."
Just as Jiang Qiu was hesitating, a voice cut in.
"We’ll take that bet. But you have to put up an equivalent item. How about the Amber Blade?"
Jiang Chen saw a woman flying over—literally flying, just like Hanna. She was also an Angel, but her wings were a different color. Hanna’s were white, while this woman’s were black. She wore a black Light Armor Set, and her hair was curly black.
This was the Dark Angel Alice.
Jiang Qiu looked at Alice. "Alice, what are you doing here?"
"I just happened to pass by and saw someone I don’t like, so I came to take a look." Turning to Hanna, she said, "You want to bet, right? The Amber Blade. Are you in or not?"
"Then it’s decided," Hanna replied.
"Okay," Alice agreed.
Alice turned to look at Jiang Chen. "You’re Jiang Qiu’s brother, right? I often hear your sister mention you. You need to work hard. That Amber Blade is a Diamond Dagger, which is perfect for your sister."
Jiang Chen nodded. "Don’t worry, Sister Alice. I’ll help you win back that dagger for my sister."
Alice smiled. "That’s the spirit. What class are you?"
"Swordsman."
Alice nodded. "Swordsman is good. Swordsman... What did you say your class was just now?"
Alice was a bit baffled. What the heck? I must not have heard clearly. Could you say that again?
"Swordsman."
Alice looked at Jiang Qiu, and Jiang Qiu nodded helplessly.
Alice: (⊙o⊙)...
Hanna, hearing their conversation, laughed—laughed outright.
Swordsman? It’s actually a D-grade Swordsman!
Hanna asked, "Does anyone know what the Swordsman class is?"
"It seems to be a D-grade Class, Swordsman."
"A Swordsman making it into Shenlong Academy? Could it be through backdoor connections?"
"A class that doesn’t even need a team can enter Shenlong Academy? I even doubt he’s a genuine student."
"Maybe he has his own secrets," someone else suggested.
Jiang Chen didn’t care in the slightest. Laugh! Laugh all you want! Any SS-grade Class is trash before me. I’ll show you what a real Swordsman is!
Hanna said, "Now that the bet has been made, let’s begin!"
Jiang Chen teamed up with Wang Gang and entered the Tower of Trial.
Alice was completely dumbfounded. "Your brother just went in like that? Why didn’t he bring a Priest with him to at least boost his Offensive Power a bit?"
"It seems there’s no suspense in this bet."
"Comparing a Swordsman with an SS-grade Class? What’s there to compare? Angels are stronger in both Offensive Power and defensive power."
"The class already determines one’s potential. The Swordsman is bound to lose."
"Let’s go. There’s nothing interesting to see here."
Hanna looked at Alice. "Thank you for the gift of Angel Wings."
"Hmph! The results aren’t out yet. What if your brother loses?" Alice retorted.
"Impossible. The Swordsman Class is not comparable to the Angel Class at all."
Alice pondered, Hanna’s right. A Swordsman is simply no match for an Angel Class. Angels are SS-grade, while Swordsmen are D-grade.
Alice looked at Jiang Qiu, wanting to ask how her brother got into Shenlong Academy. After all, Shenlong Academy is a top-tier university, a sacred place. How could they recruit a Swordsman?
Jiang Chen and Wang Gang entered the Tower of Trial.
A monster appeared before them:
[Berserk Wild White Boar (BOSS)]
[Level: 20]
[HP: 30,000/30,000]
[Physical Attack: 120-140]
[Physical Defense Power: 100-120]
[Magical defense power: 100-120]
A three-meter-tall Berserk Wild White Boar appeared before Jiang Chen. Its body was white, its two sharp tusks were clearly visible, and its eyes were blood-red. It stood in a corner, holding a Wolf Fang Club.
It seemed to have noticed Jiang Chen and looked over in his direction.
ROAR!
Brandishing the Wolf Fang Club, it charged at Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen immediately activated his buffs—Sky Flashing Mode and Crosswise Sword Qi Mode—and struck the Berserk Wild White Boar with his sword.
-10,000
-10,000
-10,000
One Sword instantly killed the Berserk Wild White Boar.
