CHAPTER 52: CHAPTER 52, ALL OF JIANG QIU’S TEAMMATES ARE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN_1
Shenlong Academy had no teachers, nor would any teachers lead students in monster-fighting and leveling. Shenlong Academy functioned more like a guild. The academy issued missions, such as collecting materials, which offered Score rewards.
These Scores could be exchanged for equipment or Skill Books. This equipment, crafted by Blacksmiths and Tailors, was mostly Silver-grade or higher.
Information on various monsters was listed:
Level 15-20: Wild Boar Forest, Demonic Two-headed Wolf Prairie, Black Bear Forest...
Level 15-20 Dungeons: Mysterious Tomb, Red Yao Abyss...
Level 20-30 Dungeons: Giant Demon Copy, Goblin Altar, Red Abyss...
"Need a Light Series Priest for a five-person team, starting now..."
"Looking for a Paladin, level 15 or above..."
"Mysterious Tomb dungeon run! Anyone who needs Scores, join up..."
Students began forming teams, gradually turning from strangers into familiar companions. In time, they would form Legions to battle monsters together.
After a while, they would have their own trusted teammates.
For instance, there was Jiang Qiu’s Dark Legion, composed of her familiar teammates, and Hanna’s Light Legion. When these groups went out for training, they always formed small teams, confident that their teammates wouldn’t betray them.
Most freshmen at Shenlong Academy were S-grade or even SS-grade. With such powerful alliances, clearing dungeons was relatively easy.
Wang Gang thought for a moment. "Boss, I’m going to go find a team."
Jiang Chen was surprised. "Not teaming up with me?"
Wang Gang chuckled awkwardly. "I know you prefer to go solo, Boss, and I enjoy teaming up with friends. Besides, you’re already level 20. If I tagged along, I’d just slow you down."
"I’m planning to venture out on my own too; I can’t stay in your shadow forever."
Jiang Chen pondered for a moment. "Alright, be careful then."
"Don’t worry, I know my limits."
Wang Gang then shouted, "Hidden Class Paladin, Tank Class, anyone need one?"
"Hey bud, our team is looking for one! What’s your name?"
"Wang Gang."
"Dude, it’s you! Just the fact that you got that school-wide announcement is enough for you to join our team. Your courage is something we should all learn from."
Wang Gang laughed heartily, looking pleased. "I suspect that dormitory matron has it in for me."
BEEP BEEP BEEP...
Jiang Chen’s phone rang.
"Sis."
"Have you gone out to train yet?"
"Not yet."
"Come out. My leader said they’d give you a welcome meal before you head out."
"But it’s still early!"
"Stop dawdling. We’re leaving right after we eat, and we might not be back for ten days to half a month. I’ll introduce you to my teammates too; they’re all curious about you. Hurry to the school entrance."
"Alright!"
Jiang Chen hung up. His older sister had summoned him; he had to go.
「At the school entrance.」
Five stunning women were waiting nearby, all dressed in identical black outfits. Except for one loli, they were all tall, showcasing their exquisite figures.
My sister’s team is all women?
The women were incredibly excited, practically buzzing with energy.
"Jiang Qiu, your brother is so handsome! I wonder if he has a girlfriend? We’re all sisters here; it’s better he ends up with one of us than with some outsider."
"Wow, such a handsome young man! I’m completely smitten."
"None of you better try to snatch him! This man is mine! I’ll fight anyone who tries to take him from me."
Alice chuckled. "Alright, calm down, you’ll scare him off. Have you never seen a man before? Trying to snatch your teammate’s brother... honestly, you all."
"Leader, you haven’t fallen for him, have you?"
"Our leader must have taken a liking to him; that’s why she won’t let us make a move."
"Our leader has such a wicked mind."
The group joked and chatted.
Jiang Chen walked up to Jiang Qiu.
Jiang Qiu introduced them, "This is my brother, Jiang Chen. This is Alice, the Dark Angel; you met her yesterday."
"This blonde beauty is Caroline, a Dark Summoner."
"This is Xueli, a Dark Priest."
"And this is Muriel, a hidden class Vampire."
Jiang Chen looked at Muriel. A Vampire Class? She’s a loli, a bit short, but the most voluptuous of the five.
Jiang Qiu glared at him. "Where are your eyes wandering?"
Muriel giggled. "See? Jiang Chen was looking at me!"
"He’s wondering why you’re so short."
"If you’re short, just admit it. Short people get picked on. What do you think he’s looking at?"
"He’s probably thinking, ’Wow, there’s someone this short in the world.’"
Muriel retorted, unconvinced, "You’re all just jealous..."
Alice interjected, "Alright, everyone, be serious for a moment."
She turned to Jiang Chen. "Jiang Chen, you’re Jiang Qiu’s brother. We’re eating now, but we’ll be leaving right after and won’t be back for a long time.
"We invited you out today partly because the others were curious about you, and partly to give you an overview of Shenlong Academy. This way, you can hopefully avoid conflicts if you run into people from other Legions.
"Fighting amongst students is prohibited within Shenlong Academy, but there are no such rules outside. Also, thank you for winning the Amber Dagger. That Diamond Weapon is very important to Jiang Qiu. Hanna had been hoarding it and refusing to sell.
"If it weren’t for you, she wouldn’t have given it up so easily. You need to be careful of Hanna; she might try to get revenge on you."
Jiang Chen nodded. "I understand."
"Let’s eat first. I’ll explain things slowly over the meal."
「In a restaurant.」
Jiang Qiu said, "You know that Shenlong Academy is composed of S-grade and above Class users. Upon reaching the First-stage, you can establish a Legion, which is similar to a guild."
Jiang Chen nodded; he understood what guilds were.
It was essentially many people joining forces, teaming up to fight monsters and level up.
If Shenlong Academy was considered a large guild, then its Legions were like smaller guilds. Their members were all powerful individuals, forming potent alliances.
This made the overall strength of such guilds incredibly formidable.
"The top ten Legions are: Black Dragon Legion, Hell Legion, Dawn Legion, Jiuxiao Legion, Cold Moon Legion, Light Legion, Purple Frost Legion, Bai Yun Legion, Chaoyang Legion, and Silver Legion."
"There are many other Legions, but these ten are the strongest."
Jiang Chen asked, puzzled, "Aren’t you part of the Dark Legion?"
Alice replied, "That’s right. However, our Dark Legion only has five members. We teamed up simply to fight monsters and level up together. Forming a Legion wasn’t our main goal; it was more about camaraderie.
"Since you’re Jiang Qiu’s brother, I can bring you into the Dark Legion if you want. However, our levels are very different, so even if you joined, we couldn’t really help you much with leveling."
Jiang Chen knew their levels were high. Teaming up with them to fight monsters and level up wouldn’t be suitable; he wouldn’t gain much experience. Besides, he didn’t want to join a Legion yet and preferred to grind solo.
"Let’s talk about this later!"
"Okay. The top ten Legions might try to recruit you. If you decide to join another Legion, the Black Dragon Legion is a good choice. Firstly, they are very strong, and secondly, they tend to operate fairly.
"As for the other Legions, they might be more self-serving or have hidden agendas."
Jiang Chen smiled. "Don’t worry, I don’t plan on joining any Legion. If I ever do join one, it’ll be with you all."
Alice smiled. This young man is quite interesting.
Jiang Chen asked, "I was wondering, is the leader of the Bai Yun Legion named Bai Yun?"
Alice shook her head. "No, it’s just a name."
So it’s not Bai Yun? That’s a relief. If that guy were a Legion leader, wouldn’t he be incredibly powerful?
