CHAPTER 223: CHAPTER 223: PATERNITY TEST

Old Master Kendall thought for a moment and finally acquiesced; he glanced at Felix Kendall.

Felix Kendall nodded slightly, then immediately stood up and headed toward the back door.

In less than ten minutes, Felix returned with a young, muscular man with his hands tied behind his back!

"Let me go!" Mason Vance was furious, "I said I’m here waiting for our little lady. How dare you snatch me!"

He struggled, raising his head to first see Sean Lynn, shaking with anger, nearly overpowering the two bodyguards restraining him.

"Sean Lynn, you bastard! You’re still alive. You broke my dad’s leg; I want your blood debt repaid!!"

Seeing Old Master Kendall frown in displeasure, a bodyguard immediately drew a stun baton, and Tanya Sinclair shouted sharply, "Don’t touch him!"

As the words fell, Tanya Sinclair rushed forward to protect Mason Vance.

Zion Monroe couldn’t sit still either, quickly standing up and leaning toward Tanya to back her up.

"Words are one thing, but don’t lay your hands on him! Sister Tanya is here because of me; if anything happens to her, I’ll hold you accountable!"

The Monroe Family’s status is indeed significant. Although Zion Monroe isn’t as influential as his brother Jasper Monroe, he’s still the second young master of The Monroe Family. Even here at The Kendall Residence, The Monroe Family merits some respect.

Mason looked at the little lady shielding him, feeling both wronged and touched, unable to help explaining, "Little lady, I truly haven’t gone near The Kendall Family. I followed your orders and waited at the entrance, then a dozen people suddenly appeared and grabbed me!"

"I know." Tanya reassured Mason, smiling, "It’s not your fault."

She brought Mason today to verify the suspicions she harbored.

It looks like she guessed correctly...

"Tanya, what’s going on here? Who is this person?" Old Master Kendall asked sternly.

He’s no longer calling her "Tanya," indicating Grandpa Kendall is also doubting the authenticity of her identity.

Indeed, who’s left in the world to trust her unconditionally?

Tanya’s eyes showed a hint of gloom.

Before she could speak, Sean Lynn coldly spoke first.

"Old Master Kendall, let me explain. The man I captured is Mason Vance; you might not know him, but his father Graham Vance should ring a bell with you!"

Old Master Kendall’s eyes shifted slightly, calmly saying, "You’re talking about the Sinclair’s butler?"

"Yes!" Sean responded, "The Vance Family and The Sinclair Family are practically bound across generations; the Vance Family has served The Sinclair Family as butlers for five generations. Still, Graham Vance left The Sinclair Family twenty years ago. The Sinclair Family has always treated The Vance Family as their own, never concealing anything from them!"

"Precisely because of this, The Vance Family knows all of The Sinclair Family’s secrets! This impostor of my daughter found Graham Vance and his son, uncovering the secret hidden within ’Phoenix Dance,’ so they together planned this scam, deceiving you for trust! They intend to exploit your affection for the orphan of an old friend to attain riches and honor!"

"Sean Lynn, you bastard, you’re talking nonsense! You’re spewing lies!" Mason, still young, had never encountered such shameless people, angrily cursed, "You bully the little lady like this; aren’t you afraid they might come for your life at night?!"

"Silence!" Sean’s expression turned to utter disappointment, angrily reprimanding Mason, "The Sinclair Family has treated The Vance Family generously, and yet you dare to betray them like this utterly heartless! It’s you shameless fools who should worry about being haunted!"

"You!" Mason was about to curse but was stopped by Tanya’s gaze.

At this point, almost everyone had been swayed by Sean’s words; he had indeed blocked every path Tanya had previously used to prove her identity.

For twenty years, Sean destroyed every piece of evidence that could be ruined, sealing up every loophole.

Sean coldly looked at Tanya, slightly narrowing his eyes as a sharp light flashed across them.

She has always been too naive to fight him!

Just like Charlotte Sinclair in the past, beautiful yet naive, foolish!

Of all things to trust, she believes men’s hearts won’t twist or change!

Ha.

Sean’s mind conjured up Charlotte Sinclair’s gentle, tranquil face, fueling his anger even further!

To finally crush Tanya, Sean further magnanimously suggested, "Of course, if anyone still has doubts, I’m not afraid of ghosts in my heart. I can have a paternity test done with this impostor pretending to be my daughter! We’ll see if this Ms. Sinclair dares!"

Charlotte Sinclair in the past was exhumed and burned to ashes; in life, she didn’t save The Sinclair Family, and after death, he wouldn’t let that woman help her biological daughter!

After listening to Sean’s proposal, Tanya’s eyes showed slight movement, her long lashes lowering to hide her emotions.

"Tanya," Old Master Kendall turned to her, hesitatingly asking, "How about doing a test?"

"Alright." Tanya agreed at once.

Beside her, Sean’s snort was piercing.

Shortly after, Old Master Kendall instructed people to take blood samples from both Tanya and Sean.

"I will personally send these two blood samples to the military hospital’s testing department for identification."

Old Master Kendall didn’t trust either of them temporarily; until the truth was unveiled, he trusted only himself!

Sean smiled slightly, "We’ll all follow your arrangements, Old Master Kendall."

"Considering the travel time, the identification results will be delivered to me in three days." Old Master Kendall glanced at Tanya, then at Sean, "I hope neither of you leave Aris in these three days."

"Certainly." Sean smiled, "Only those with something to hide seek to evade the truth; I have a clear conscience!"

After speaking, Sean turned around to return to his seat.

Behind him, Tanya’s clear and calm voice suddenly sounded.

"Grandpa Kendall, my grandfather Horace Sinclair is currently in Aris."

"Oh? Then why not summon him here!" Old Master Kendall wondered.

Although he didn’t care much for the old man, Horace Sinclair himself would undoubtedly be the best evidence for proving Tanya’s identity!

Sean’s eyes betrayed a slight hint of a sinister smile.

Tanya answered, "Grandfather has Alzheimer’s disease and is severely ill, no longer recognizing people."

Old Master Kendall furrowed his brows, "In that case..."

"There’s no need to worry now." Tanya looked at Old Master Kendall, sounding excitedly expectant, "I’ve long begun researching medication for Alzheimer’s. Recently, I’ve been collaborating with Westgard Pharmaceuticals, and we’ve successfully developed a new treatment for Alzheimer’s disease."

"Although currently in trial, the efficacy is remarkable. One dose is enough to grant the patient half a day of lucidity! The latest batch of this medication, I can obtain in three days!"

Sean still had his back to Tanya, his expression unreadable, though his hand under the table suddenly clenched tightly!

Horace Sinclair...

That stubborn old man, could it be he might recover lucidity?!
