Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back
Chapter 52: The Father and Sons Join Forces to Deceive Her
CHAPTER 52: CHAPTER 52: THE FATHER AND SONS JOIN FORCES TO DECEIVE HER
Tanya Sinclair painfully closed her eyes.
She initially thought it was because the two kids weren’t familiar with her yet and didn’t want to play with her, so they lied to keep her from joining... but the truth turned out to be that they were going on a trip with Cindy Lynn.
The father and two kids, conspiring together to deceive her...
Tanya Sinclair forced herself to watch, despite her heartbreak.
"Daddy, try it!" Joy ran over and tugged at Vincent Hawthorne, who was on the phone, stood on tiptoe, and handed him the ice cream.
Too sweet, which he didn’t like, but since it was from his daughter, Vincent bent down and took a small taste.
Then Joy passed the ice cream to Cindy Lynn.
Cindy Lynn glanced at Vincent Hawthorne, brushed her hair aside with one hand, and with a slightly embarrassed look, bit into the spot where Vincent had just taken a bite.
"..."
Tanya Sinclair felt so disgusted she wanted to vomit.
Vincent naturally saw this scene, and when he met Cindy Lynn’s gaze, he smiled faintly, a bit helpless but indulgent.
As if to make up for it, Cindy Lynn, smiling with crescent eyes, offered her half-finished drink to Vincent’s lips, tilting her head as if teasing him to try.
In the end, Vincent couldn’t bear to refuse and lowered his head to take a sip from the same straw Cindy Lynn had used.
"..."
Tanya Sinclair never witnessed such tenderness to the point of indulgence on Vincent Hawthorne’s face.
A long time ago, she knew that Vincent Hawthorne had a cleanliness quirk.
When they first confirmed their relationship, during one date, Tanya was thirsty because her drink hadn’t arrived yet, so she took a sip of his.
Vincent didn’t say anything at the time; his family upbringing and manners wouldn’t let him openly point out any behavior that displeased him. But through the entire meal, he never touched that drink again...
The palm of Tanya Sinclair’s clenched hand slowly relaxed, leaving a cold imprint.
So it wasn’t about having a cleanliness quirk... it was just because she wasn’t someone he could tolerate or favor.
Ha.
Tanya Sinclair sarcastically tugged at the corners of her mouth, mocking herself for being an utter clown in this relationship.
While Vincent Hawthorne listened to the call, he glanced at Cindy Lynn and tapped his nose with his free hand.
Cindy Lynn was puzzled, so Vincent took out a handkerchief from his pocket and personally wiped off a bit of cream left on Cindy’s nose, then nonchalantly turned to continue his call.
Cindy Lynn bit her lip and smiled, looking like a woman in love...
Tanya Sinclair’s lips curled into a sneer, "What a shameless pair of bastards!"
"Holy shit! Having the guts to bring a mistress out in broad daylight—has Vincent Hawthorne never been beaten by this old lady?" Daisy Bell hurriedly came over to meet Tanya Sinclair at Marinus Park after changing her clothes.
Seeing Tanya first midway, Daisy quietly snuck up behind her, planning to surprise her Baby Tanya, only to scare herself instead.
Witnessing Vincent wipe Cindy Lynn’s face so intimately.
Daisy Bell was instantly infuriated.
She was about to charge forward but was blocked by Tanya extending a hand.
"Tanya!" she was a bit frustrated, "Why are you still protecting that scummy guy? He’s openly bringing his mistress out in public!"
Tanya held up her phone to take pictures, zooming in on Cindy Lynn and Vincent together.
"Not bad," she was quite satisfied.
Perfect for throwing in Vincent’s face during a divorce.
Tanya put away her phone, turned, and gently smiled at Daisy, "Alright, don’t let them affect your mood. They’re not worth it."
She pulled Daisy away.
Daisy was cursing Vincent and Cindy Lynn all the way, until her mouth went dry.
Tanya quietly listened, nodding in agreement.
After Daisy was exhausted from swearing, Tanya finally spoke, "Daisy, stay here for a moment, I’ll go buy you a bottle of water."
There was a long queue at the water stand; she was worried Daisy might be recognized.
"Take mine." Daisy removed her sunshade hat and put it on Tanya, "Don’t get tanned."
Tanya queued up to buy two bottles of water, and when she turned around, she nearly ran into someone.
"Sorry," she apologized softly, keeping her head down.
The man was visibly stunned upon hearing Tanya’s voice, his eyes followed Tanya’s retreating figure, a silent storm stirred in his gaze like a stone thrown into a lake.
That voice sounds so familiar... could it be her?!
But how could she appear here?
Tanya of course had no idea about any of this.
She returned with the water, but saw that Daisy was already surrounded by fans; she must have been recognized in such a short time.
Tanya lowered her head, rushed into the fan crowd, pulled Daisy out, and they ran off immediately.
The fans pursued them wildly.
Finally managing to momentarily shake off the fans, Tanya dragged Daisy into the restroom, quickly taking off her clothes while asking Daisy to contact her assistant for pickup.
Three minutes later, Tanya walked out wearing Daisy’s clothes and sunglasses, immediately drawing the attention of the fans looking for Daisy.
"Goddess Daisy is over there!"
"Catch her, catch her!"
"Ahh! Goddess, wait for us!"
Tanya quickened her pace, luring them away.
Daisy poked her head out from the women’s restroom, confirming the coast was clear, then lowered the brim of her hat, and headed towards the meeting place with Mia, wearing Tanya’s clothes.
"Wait!" Suddenly, a man dashed out, tightly grabbing Daisy’s arm. His voice could hardly contain the excitement, "Are you..."
Daisy: "?"
Even dressed like this, she could be recognized?
Resigned to fate, she admitted, "Yes, I am Daisy Bell." Taking off her hat brazenly, she was ready for anything, yet found herself slightly stunned.
Never expected to see such a handsome fan of hers?
Daisy’s tone softened a bit, "I’ll sign, but no photos."
Julian Poole: "..."
It wasn’t her.
So he was indeed mistaken.
The anticipation in Julian’s eyes faded away; he released his grip, apologizing, "Sorry, I mistook you for an old friend."
With that, he turned and left, leaving Daisy behind, questioning life.
"What’s this? Mistaken identity?? Even a beauty of my caliber isn’t just anyone’s face!" Daisy was incredulous, tossing her hair back, scoffing lightly, "Ha, men, they sure have a lot of pickup lines. I’ll remember you."
