Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife
Chapter 17: Getting the Marriage Certificate
CHAPTER 17: CHAPTER 17: GETTING THE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE
"I... I don’t know, it’s my first time!" May Morgan wiped the tear marks off her face and stared at Vincent Vance’s playful expression, suddenly stunned.
Right, it is her first time, wasn’t she supposed to feel something when she... with someone?
She lifted the covers again and carefully examined herself, well, there seemed to be nothing wrong.
"Exposed!" Vincent Vance teased, eyeing the woman’s slender legs with amusement.
May Morgan trembled slightly, hastily grabbed the quilt, wrapping herself tightly again: ’You, you go out first.’
"No rush, I still have questions for you." Vincent Vance spoke as he took the Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant placed nearby in his hand. It had returned to its original appearance of white jade, with the red dragon inside already vanished.
"Where did you get this Jade Pendant?" Vincent Vance sternly questioned May Morgan, holding the pendant.
May Morgan looked at the object in his hand, swallowing with difficulty: "My mom gave it to me before she died."
"Why don’t you dare show it?" Vincent Vance pressed further.
"Because, because my mom instructed me that I can’t show it carelessly, or I’d be in danger." May Morgan paused, answering honestly.
"Let me ask you again, what’s the secret in this Jade Pendant?" Vincent Vance nodded with satisfaction, knowing she wasn’t lying this time, then continued to ask.
"I... I only know this Jade Pendant glows, but only when my body temperature rises, nothing else." May Morgan awkwardly lowered her head, murmuring in a low voice.
Vincent Vance stared at May Morgan’s face, looking intently for a good while, confirming she wasn’t lying, he put away the Jade Pendant, then said to her again: "Get dressed, come with me to the Civil Affairs Bureau."
Huh?
Civil Affairs Bureau?
May Morgan stared blankly at Vincent Vance’s face, dumbfounded; isn’t the Civil Affairs Bureau the place for marriage registration? Could he really be forcing her to marry him?
"I... I’m not going." Marriage is such a big decision, how could she blindly entrust herself? She’s not truly foolish.
"Let me remind you, Adam Owens is very weak right now, if he’s not taken to the hospital soon, whether he survives or not, I can’t say." Vincent Vance watched May Morgan with an air of certainty.
Adam Owens...
Alright!
Recalling the scene where Vincent Vance ordered Adam Owens to be thrown down, every hair on May Morgan’s body stood upright. She had underestimated Vincent Vance’s power and his ruthless nature.
"I... I can agree to go with you, but you must have someone take Adam Owens to the hospital." May Morgan clenched her fingers, her voice trembling as she negotiated with Vincent Vance.
Vincent Vance raised his eyebrows, glanced at his wristwatch: ’I’m reminding you, it’s already four in the afternoon, the Civil Affairs Bureau closes at five-thirty.’
Closing time doesn’t matter to her, it’s not her who’s in a hurry to register this marriage.
"If the registration can’t be completed smoothly today, then Adam Owens can only be sent to the hospital tomorrow, but whether he can last through the night, who knows!"
Jerk!
May Morgan gritted her teeth, looking at Vincent Vance’s ridiculously handsome yet incredibly annoying face, wishing she could punch him.
But, she didn’t have the strength or courage for that.
"I... I need to get dressed, you, go out first!" May Morgan bit her lip, glared at Vincent Vance on the Imperial Concubine Chair, insisting.
Vincent Vance casually picked up a newly bought dress from the side, tossing it to the bed: ’Hurry up and change.’
He didn’t intend to leave, sitting leisurely on the Imperial Concubine Chair, making May Morgan want to curse.
