CHAPTER 18: CHAPTER 18: WE REALLY DO NEED TO "GET TO KNOW" EACH OTHER

"Marriage is a big deal, and I don’t really know you," May Morgan complained, unwillingly clutching her clothes.

"What do you want to know? The top or the bottom? Is twenty-five centimeters enough?" Vincent Vance responded, suddenly rising from his chair, with his long, beautiful fingers gently resting on the buckle of his belt, as if about to undo it.

May, terrified, quickly covered her eyes, not daring to look any further: "Enough, enough, please just leave, okay?"

"Is twenty-five centimeters enough to satisfy you? Do you want to take a look? I might be longer than that!" A devilish smile slowly crept across Vincent Vance’s lips as he lifted his long leg and approached May.

Twenty-five centimeters? Longer than that? Why couldn’t she understand what he was talking about?

"What, what do you want to do?" Looking at the man suddenly leaning in closer, May raised her head, utterly dumbfounded, staring at him blankly.

"Didn’t you want to know each other better? Come here, where do you want to start learning?" Vincent Vance said as he leaned toward May, his deep voice filled with temptation.

At that moment when she looked up at him, her rosy little mouth, her misty eyes, were both helpless and captivating, and their position was extremely ambiguous. A flame was quickly ignited in Vincent Vance’s dark eyes.

"Perv...pervert!" Even as inexperienced as May was, she knew what this bastard was thinking. She hurriedly pushed the man next to her, glaring at him with a serious face: "I warn you, I can get the certificate with you, but if you dare touch me, I’ll...I’ll die right here."

This girl with a face full of resolute defiance was indeed a bit of a buzzkill, but he wasn’t in a hurry. He had plenty of time to play with her in the future anyway.

"There’s one more hour before the civil affairs bureau closes." Vincent Vance toned down the heat in his eyes and spoke to May solemnly.

"If you know there’s an hour left, then get out!" May couldn’t help but shout at him, exasperated.

Vincent Vance glanced at her and finally let go, turning and leaving the bedroom.

As the door opened, Jacob Jennings, standing at the entrance, gave Vincent Vance an awkward look. Having followed the young master for many years, he’d never seen him be so crude with a woman before.

Vincent Vance’s gaze lightly swept over Jacob Jennings: "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing, I just came to tell you, the old master just called, asking you to bring Miss May to the Vance Residence."

Vincent Vance had already guessed that it would come to this, which is why he was anxious to get the marriage certificate with May before heading to the Vance Residence.

As long as she became his woman, he could rightfully protect her.

"Stall those at the Vance Residence, tell them I’ll be there in an hour," Vincent instructed Jacob Jennings as he turned away.

When the two of them drove to the civil affairs bureau, they got there just as it was closing time. However, because of Vincent Vance’s special status, even if they came late, the people there had to wait for them eagerly.

When taking the couple’s photo, May’s face looked like she was crying her heart out, unable to muster a smile. She was a conservative woman who valued marriage greatly, yet she found herself muddle-headedly tying the knot with the man beside her under such unwilling circumstances.

When the first set of photos was printed,

Vincent Vance glanced at it and casually tossed it into the trash bin beside him.

"Did they ask you to take a funeral photo? Can’t even smile?" Looking at the woman’s face in the picture, as if she’d lost her father, Vincent Vance felt a flame smoldering in his heart.
