Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife
Chapter 20: You Big Liar
CHAPTER 20: CHAPTER 20: YOU BIG LIAR
Vincent Vance let out a cold laugh, tossing a look of disdain towards May Morgan: ’I didn’t lie to you. Adam Owens is indeed having a fever, scared by me.’
"But, but you said he was in your hands."
"Did I ever say that?" His eyes grew more contemptuous, leaving May Morgan momentarily speechless, not knowing what to say.
Just now, just now... indeed, he hadn’t said Adam was in his hands, only that Adam had a fever and needed to be rushed to the hospital.
Ah, why am I so stupid?
"This is fraud! I want a divorce!" May Morgan, deeply feeling wronged, shouted at Vincent Vance with rage in her voice.
"You’re the first woman to dare propose a divorce to me, Vincent Vance." Vincent shot a dark look at the ungrateful woman beside him, his face darkening.
"Why wouldn’t I dare? Who do you think you are? How charming do you think you are? Why must I marry you?"
"Ungrateful!" Vincent shouted angrily, slamming the brakes and pulling the car over to the side.
May Morgan’s body lurched forward; if not for her seatbelt, she’d likely have slammed into the windshield.
"What, what are you doing?" Intimidated by the man’s anger, May Morgan’s confidence noticeably faltered.
"You know full well the secret inside this Jade Pendant. Let me ask you, without my protection, how long do you think you’d survive?" Vincent coldly glared at May Morgan, threatening her.
May Morgan bit her lip, nervously glancing at Vincent, yet not a word could come out of her mouth.
Indeed, the reason this Jade Pendant can’t be revealed is because what’s inside is a secret that shouldn’t be known easily. If revealed, it could cost her life.
But how does Vincent know this secret? Could he have investigated her?
"I don’t want to say much for now. When we meet Grandpa later, you best deny anything about the pendant. You know what disaster it could bring you if taken out," Vincent said, seeing May Morgan behave a bit, then started the car again towards the Vance Residence.
Without a word exchanged, they soon arrived at the Vance Residence. As Vincent backed the car into the garage, he suddenly saw a white Bentley Mulsanne parked there.
"Is Logan back?" Vincent got out of the car and expressionlessly questioned Butler Lawson beside him.
"Second Young Master just returned today and is talking in the living room with Master," Butler Lawson responded respectfully and truthfully.
Upon hearing this, Vincent’s eyes darkened, and he said nothing, turning around and pulling May Morgan into the Vance Residence.
Logan Vance is Vincent’s uncle, Alexander Vance’s only son, who has been managing family business abroad for years and seldom returns.
They’ve been openly and covertly fighting for years, never really getting along. Logan’s sudden return, especially now, seemed to bring complexity Vincent couldn’t ignore.
As Vincent pushed open the door, Aunt Audrey Vance was sitting coldly on the sofa in the living room, watching them.
Audrey Vance married into the Owens Family later as a second wife, becoming Adam’s stepmother, yet she hasn’t borne any children, leaving her in a passive position in the Owens Family over the years.
Adam Owens, frightened by Vincent, was hospitalized and is still burning with fever. The Owens Family, not letting this slide, forced Audrey to come over and seek an explanation.
