CHAPTER 402: CHAPTER 402: THIS TIME, I WILL NEVER LET GO

Immediately, Logan Vance grabbed a large roll of clear tape and started wrapping the object between May Morgan’s legs tightly against her thighs, circle after circle.

"Humph, you and Maxwell are in cahoots. I won’t let you two get away with this!" May spat out curses at Logan, gritting her teeth.

Logan chuckled coldly, taking two steps back to admire his ’masterpiece.’

"I said, if you survive, wait for me in Crestwood. I’ll tell you all the secrets you want to know by then!"

After finishing everything, Logan looked at the watch on his wrist again, took out his phone, and started sending a message to Victor Grant.

"Now, notify your husband and let’s see who arrives first? I bet it’ll be Vincent because he’s so fond of you."

Whistling triumphantly, Logan turned around and started walking outside with his men. As he left, he remembered something, turned around, and said to May, "If you get rescued, I suggest you get rid of that woman Maxwell; kind-hearted people never meet good ends, I’m proof of that!"

"I’m not as vicious as you!" May shouted angrily at Logan through clenched teeth.

When they left, the vast warehouse was left with just May and two dried corpses on the floor. Even though she knew Vincent and Victor would arrive soon, as soon as she saw the timed bomb tied between her legs, her heart began to race.

No way, she needed to save herself. If Vincent and Victor couldn’t arrive in time, wouldn’t she be blown to smithereens?

May tried to move her arms but found she couldn’t muster any strength. Earlier, when sitting on the floor, she had no strength at all, now being hoisted up by Logan made it even more impossible to struggle.

A few futile attempts left her exhausted and unable to stand, wondering what drug Logan had given her to weaken her body to such an extent.

May struggled unwillingly for a little while, but soon became limp and weak, suspended with only the strength of her arms hanging onto her.

The time passed quickly, and Logan’s calculation was spot on. In less than ten minutes, the originally tightly shut warehouse door was suddenly pushed open from the outside.

She looked up and saw Vincent and Jacob Jennings rush in through the door. Seeing her hanging in mid-air, Vincent became anxious and hurried over to rescue her from the hook.

"May, how are you?" Vincent asked gingerly, seeing her pale face, cradling her in his arms.

"I, I have a bomb on me!" May raised her head to look at Vincent and quickly told him.

Upon hearing her words, Vincent quickly looked between May’s legs and heard strange noises from the place wrapped in tape. He hurriedly grabbed a knife and began to cut the tape around May’s legs, bit by bit.

Jacob gently removed the timed bomb sandwiched between May’s legs and took a look.

"Young master, it’s real, and there are just over ten minutes before it explodes!" Jacob briefly explained to Vincent before quickly running out of the warehouse with the bomb to handle it.

Vincent held May tightly in his embrace, his face full of guilt as he said, "May, I’m sorry, I’m sorry."

In fact, he was unaware of what happened the previous night, when Maxwell had framed her, but he just felt apologetic towards May, feeling he hadn’t protected her well enough. If it weren’t for him, Logan wouldn’t have troubled May.

May looked up at Vincent, seeing him unharmed eased her heart. Even though she guessed it was Maxwell who intentionally framed her, she still hoped Vincent would be fine. Seeing him safe and sound now, her heart finally settled.

"You’re okay, that’s good!" May reached out and touched Vincent’s cheek, smiled briefly, and then fainted.

Seeing her passed out, Vincent quickly carried her out of the warehouse. Just as he was about to place May into his car, Jacob, who had just returned from dealing with the bomb, hurriedly stopped him.

"Young master, where are you taking Miss May?" Jacob asked cautiously, watching Vincent.

Vincent took a deep breath and stubbornly replied, "I’m taking her to see a doctor."

Jacob’s eyes flickered, and he reminded him sternly, "Today is May and Victor’s wedding day, and he would be frantic without the bride. Wouldn’t it upset him if you took Miss May away now?"

"I don’t care if he’s upset or not! When I handed May over to him, he guaranteed me she would not suffer any grievance, but what has he done to May now?"

Vincent was also anxious. He glared at Jacob for meddling, turned around, and shut the car door, leaving Jacob outside.

"If Victor is dissatisfied, let him come looking for me. I’m ready anytime!" Vincent threw down those harsh words and decisively drove away, leaving Jacob behind.

Jacob silently watched the departing back of Vincent’s car, helplessly sighing. For May, the young master had already offended too many people and made too many enemies. He didn’t know how he would proceed in the future.

Vincent drove all the way towards a nearby hospital. May had already fainted, clearly having been tormented, and he had to ensure her safety as soon as possible. As for the wedding, he felt he would not let Victor have his way this time.

Just like he told Jacob earlier, since Victor failed to protect May, the task of protecting her would no longer be entrusted to anyone.

Before Vincent could drive into the city, several black cars blocked his way.

The person driving these cars wasn’t anyone else; it was Victor Grant.

Victor aggressively blocked Vincent’s car, opened his car door, and gathered ten subordinates to surround Vincent.

"Vincent, hand over May!" Victor shouted sternly at Vincent inside the car.

Vincent glanced at the still unconscious May and responded coldly, "Sorry, I need to take May to the hospital first."

"That’s not up to you; I’m her husband!" Victor said fiercely, coming over to pull at Vincent’s car door, intending to take May away.

Vincent’s face turned gloomy. He suddenly started the car and reversed quickly. Victor was caught off guard and was thrown off by the sudden maneuver.

"Damn it, are you letting her go or not?" With the bride absent from the wedding, Victor’s face was already quite unsightly. Now that May was being taken away by Vincent, Victor’s anger was at its limit.

Vincent calmly reversed the car, searching for a way to leave. At this moment, he was resolute; he would never hand May back to Victor, ready to battle if necessary.
