Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife
Chapter 437: You Know Whether You Did It or Not
CHAPTER 437: CHAPTER 437: YOU KNOW WHETHER YOU DID IT OR NOT
Victor Grant’s ferocious appearance frightened Mae so much that her body trembled. She had only taken a small amount of money from Logan Vance before, which was why she helped him, but now if she didn’t reveal everything, Victor Grant might just kill her.
"I, I’ll speak. It was Mr. Vance who instructed me to do so. He, he gave me some money, so I, I let the young madam answer a call."
Mr. Vance? Which Mr. Vance? Vincent Vance?
Mae’s unclear answer directly led Victor Grant to suspect the wrong target. He thought the Mr. Vance Mae mentioned was Vincent Vance.
All right, Vincent Vance, you’ve even stretched your hand this far. For your own gain, you’ve put May Morgan in deep danger. Fine, if I don’t kill you this time, I’ll stop being a Grant.
After confirming that May Morgan was at Westend Villa, Victor Grant did not dare to delay and hurriedly drove there. Heather Holt, worried about May Morgan’s safety and concerned that her son might not handle the situation well, had someone help her into the car and also rushed to Westend Villa.
After May Morgan entered the villa, she quickly saw Logan Vance. Worried about Vincent Vance’s safety, she negotiated with Logan Vance: "Where’s Vincent? What have you done to him?"
Logan Vance sneered and waved his hand, lowering the suspended Vincent Vance slightly, signaling May to look: "He’s almost dead, why save him? Why not be with me instead? I promise I’ll treat you better than he ever did."
May found his words extremely laughable. This guy merely treated her as a tool for casual bloodletting. Be with him? Sooner or later, she’d be drained to death.
"Sure, let Vincent go first, and I’ll stay here with you!"
May glanced at her hand and smiled at Logan Vance, "When the time comes, you can have as much of my blood as you want."
Logan Vance greedily glanced at May’s hand, eyeing the bluish-gray veins beneath her pale skin as his voice turned low and dark: "You sure know your place. Don’t worry, I won’t kill you."
May knew he wouldn’t kill her. To him, she was a mobile blood bank and a guide for further research into Spirit Insect Technique. Why would he be willing to kill her?
"I know, but Vincent is of no use to you anymore. Let him go." May wanted to approach Vincent and free him, but Logan Vance was vigilant, quickly gesturing for the vine binding Vincent to retreat a few steps, avoiding contact with May.
"Don’t come any closer, or I’ll kill him!"
Logan Vance knew that the vine feared the power of the Dragon Insect within May, so he warned her nervously.
After his words, he deliberately tightened the vine. Vincent groaned painfully as the vine constricted him, the force waking him up.
The vine continued to squeeze, and May could even hear the sound of Vincent’s bones being pressed out of shape. Although Vincent was suppressing his pain, trying not to cry out, the scene was horrifying for May to witness.
"Don’t do this, I won’t move!" To prevent Logan from further tormenting Vincent, May nervously stood still, daring not to move.
"That’s more like it." Seeing that May had settled down, Logan Vance sneered and instructed May: "Go outside and tell the police to get lost. The grudge between the three of us, we will settle it ourselves."
"This..." May hesitated, glancing at the door. With so many policemen outside, how could she possibly persuade them to leave?
"What are you hesitating for? Hurry up!" Logan Vance grew angry when he saw May dithering.
Afraid that Logan might harm Vincent, May quickly agreed: "Okay, I’ll go outside now. Don’t touch Vincent."
As she turned to leave, she quickly glanced at Vincent. Just in time, their eyes met. Vincent, gritting his teeth against the pain, urged her softly: "Once you’re out, don’t come back. Just go!"
May clenched her fist, her eyes a bit wet: "If I didn’t care about you, I wouldn’t have come here. Hang in there, I’ll be back."
After saying this, May wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and retreated swiftly. In the blink of an eye, she disappeared amidst the vines.
Just as May stepped outside, before she could discuss with Director Lawson about asking his people to withdraw, Victor Grant grabbed her arm.
"So, you are indeed here. Come back with me!"
Victor Grant ferociously restrained May without a word, dragging her outside. May struggled with all her might, flinging his hand away and yelling at him: "Victor Grant, let go of me!"
If not for Victor Grant, how would Vincent have been in danger? It was all his fault, and now he behaved so aggressively, forcing her to leave?
Victor Grant’s face was cold, intending to lead May away again, but Director Lawson and his men quickly blocked him.
"Mr. Grant, I understand your intent to protect your wife is good, but right now she is the only suitable person who can deal with these terrifying things. We really have no better candidate."
Victor Grant panicked instantly upon hearing this: "If you can’t find anyone, then blow up this place! I’ll cover the costs, and I don’t care about the house. My wife’s life is worth more than everyone here. Can you afford it if something happens to her?"
Victor Grant’s words left everyone looking at each other, unsure of what to say. His gesture to protect his wife was commendable, but May had already lost hope in him.
"You’re responsible for this situation, and Vincent’s danger was caused by you. To blow this place up? Vincent is still inside, and you plan to blow it up just like that?"
Gritting her teeth, May glared at Victor Grant in disappointment: "Victor Grant, you can hate Vincent, but I told you not to touch him. If you do, I will never forgive you!"
Facing May’s stern accusation, Victor Grant hastily and cunningly explained: "May, don’t blame everything on me. Are these things within my control? What does it have to do with me?"
"Whether you did it or not, you know better than anyone!" May knocked his hand away and turned to Director Lawson: "Director, inside is a very dangerous person, Logan Vance, Vincent’s cousin. He’s the one using these vines to attack you, and now he’s threatening me with Vincent’s life to make your men retreat, or he will kill Vincent."
"This..." Director Lawson and others hesitated, exchanging glances after hearing May’s words: "This might not be appropriate. If it’s really as you say and we retreat, what if Logan controls these things to attack others at will?"
"It’s okay, he only controls vine insects, which have roots and won’t move around freely. If the situation really gets out of hand, or if Vincent and I can’t come out alive, then please follow Mr. Grant’s suggestion and blow this place up, so everything will be peaceful in the world!"
"May!"
