Director Lawson, upon hearing this, reached into the stack of documents and pulled out some photographs to show May: "Also, these strands of hair were found on your grandma. Tests show they are curly and have traces of dyeing and perming."

May’s eyes widened as she quickly grabbed the set of photos from Director Lawson’s hand and examined them closely. The hair in the photos was large curls and chestnut brown, definitely not hers!

Her hair is long, straight, and black, completely unlike the hair in the photos.

But Melanie...

"Director Lawson, I suddenly thought of someone that perhaps you should investigate."

Although she didn’t want to believe it, May would not tolerate anyone, including if Melanie was responsible. If it was Melanie, she would personally send her to jail.

Grandma’s death couldn’t just be left like that; even if it was Vincent who did it, she would never let it go—this was her bottom line.

Upon hearing this, Director Lawson quickly asked, "Who do you mean?"

Vincent deliberately stood up from his chair, exchanging pleasantries with Director Lawson, and pulled May up from her chair as well.

"It’s a bit of family matter. But it probably doesn’t have much to do with Melanie killing grandma. Director Lawson, please proceed with summoning Melanie first. If there are any difficulties, I’ll find someone to help."

Vincent looked down at May’s clearly troubled face, fearing she’d run off, and quickly urged her earnestly.

On the journey back, Vincent held her, feeling both heartbroken and helpless, and said to her: "May, what I promised you, I will do it. But I need to regain control of the Vance Clan first, you understand?"

May nodded: "I understand, without power, talk of revenge is empty."

She had thought it through, even if grandma was killed by Melanie, the backing force behind her would definitely be Arthur Vance. Now Melanie and Arthur were on the same side; to move against Melanie, they’d likely have to deal with Arthur first.
